Step up from your stock cooling fan and heatsink to the Sunbeam CR-CCTF92-4. Supporting both Intel (LGA 775, 1366) and AMD (socket 754, 939, 940, AM2, AM2+) platforms, it will take care of your high-end processors. It has 4 large exposed 6mm pure copper heatpipes at its base which directly contacts the CPU for highly efficient thermal conduction, plus the array of hi-grade aluminum fins and silent 92mm MFDB fan provide the cooling performance you need to keep your desktop running at its peak.

Easily install the included fan speed control into a PCI slot and you can control the cooling performance and fan noise level anytime. It doesn't matter how much heat your CPU generates; you'll have trouble preventing it from getting frosty!

  • newegg MFDB Fan The 92mm MFDB (Magnetic Fluid Dynamic Bearing) fan arrives at ultra-silent low-noise level of 16dBA and realize the outstanding long life of 50,000 hours.
  • newegg Unique Design for Heatpipe Adopting the core-contact technology, the squashed heatpipe as the base directly conducts the heat from CPU, which maximizes the heat transferring. In addition, the unique alignment of the four 6mm U-shaped heatpipes significantly enhances the heat dispersing performance.
  • newegg TX-2 Thermal Grease Included The thermal grease supports for a better contact between heatsink and heatsource. In addition, the thin bond line realizes hi-efficiency conductivity for superior heat transfer.
  • newegg Fan Controller Included The included PCI fan control bracket features a manual fan-speed control dial for convenient adjustments of fan speeds.
  • newegg Universal Socket Compatibility As an all-in-one solution for PC systems, the Sunbeam CR-CCTF92-4 features broad compatibility with all AMD socket 754, 939, 940 and Intel LGA775 and 1366 platforms.

5 out of 5 eggscool and quiet

Pros: quiet even on its fastest fan speed.
about 7C cooler than my stock cooler or less under load.
option to ad another fan on the other side of the cooler with the included rubber fan posts

Cons: isnt free?

Other Thoughts: bought this when upgrding from a quad core amd to a 6 core and found that the 6 core came with a pretty nice heat sink, guess that will be used for another project eh?

5 out of 5 eggsWay too cheap! (In a good way)

Pros: Cools very well! I can barely hear it when I'm next to the computer!

Cons: Harder to install, and remove than a stock cooler but is that really a con?

Other Thoughts: These are way under-priced right now. I've got a Celeron D over-clocked to 4.3 GHz, and it never goes over 56C with this cooler! That's with Prime95!

I also have a AMD X6 1090T OC'd at 3.6GHz and it never goes over 51C in Prime95!

3 out of 5 eggsso far so good

Pros: Quiet even when maxed, Keeps my phenom II 980 black edition at about 50C as opposed to the 60-70C on the stock cooler, Not a huge drain on power

Cons: Very hard to get on, Was very worried i would snap the mobo, Makes a very loud "snap" noise when you DO managed to get it on making you think you broke the mobo, Covers up 2 ram slots and gets in the way of the power pins

Other Thoughts: If it wasn't so hard to get on i would have given it a 5/5 but i HIGHLY recommend you mount it to you're mobo on a flat surface before you put the mobo in and even then be careful the clips are only JUST long enough for the AM3+ socket, Do NOT try to put this in a mid tower case mine only has a half inch of clearance between it and door, Also do not buy if you intent to use more then 2 ram stick's or have a 2 stick board.

3 out of 5 eggsgreat cooler terrible customer service

Pros: The best cooler I have ever had only 19 with shipping. Keeps my a63650 cool below the spec 80 degree limit. idles around 8-12c and runs at full load with prime 95 6+ hours at 45. plus i have it overclocked on 3.5ghz almost a full gig overclock. keeps thing nice and cool included really good thermal grease. 6 heat pipes made of cu, copper

Cons: be careful the fins are very thin and flimsy almost as thin as paper and the fan connector is a bi?!% to connect another fan it can run just use some mounting screws and not those freaking rubber things that hold the fan in place.
Horrible customer service with newegg. Are they hiring ret ards now. I am a small business owner and win I say i am going to do something I do it. I had to call three times for them to fix. A small problem. I used a prepaid visa gift card and the refunded my rma back to it after I asked twice and two phone calls latter, over a course of a week to send it to me as a gift card. They promised me free shipping for my troubles and they would refund the shipping to my newegg gift card . Yhea right I called today 9/7/2011 and the lady said they placed it mayabe back on the gift card that has been in the trash over a month. I asked her to send me an email around 4:30 pct so I could use my 10 dollar eamil code on a shell shocker. huh they can't even do that righ

Other Thoughts: Great cooler almost as good as coolermaster hyper 212+
I hope you never have to call newegg customer support it might take two weeks for them to get it right

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Low Price. Quiet compared to my stock cooler which was running at full speed all the time, its amazing. Even at full speed I have to try very hard to hear it. Thermal paste = awesome. Custom speed control is a great feature.

Cons: Used on an old AM2 Socket and I felt like I was going to break my cpu, it was an extremely tight pull.

Other Thoughts: This thing is HUGE! Make sure you have the room.

4 out of 5 eggsHappy with it (4.5eggs)

Pros: Lets see.. cheap, effective, reasonably quiet; comes with thermal grease. Oddly, with the help of the other upgrade to my computer system (Antec Earthwatts 650/80+) the 4th core unlocked on my AMD Phenom II 720 (more on that later), My package came with a cute variable resistor knob mounted to a rear plate pci/pcie slot bracket, turned to maximum (2100rpm).

I combed the processor lightly in the Tuniq TX-2 grease (2mm wide strips spaced about 5mm apart), as such I get a steady 43degrees Celsius idle and the same 44degress under heavy load (Dragon Age Origins). Other opinions might differ but I believe I could not have installed it better.

Best deal you'll find for a socket AM2 aftermarket cooler, even off the shell shocker special.

Cons: Thermals probably would be higher with the left side case cover back on.

Other Thoughts: I don't quite understand how or why, but with the stock AMD cooler (using its standard thermal tape) averaged 33degress Celsius idle and up to 54degress under heavy load. and refused to consistently unlock the 4th core on the AsRock 770DE+.

However, with this cooler I have yet to experience an issue (and it's been a week). I am almost curious to find out what the temperatures are on the old air cooler with the thermal tape shaved off and the grease in the tape's place, but I digress.

5 out of 5 eggsPowerful Heatsink/Fan

Pros: This unit wasn't too difficult to install under a 775 socket. All what I did was mount the included 775 bracket into the mounting holes of my motherboard, put a little of the TX-2 paste on my Pentium E5200 processor, and stuck the heatsink on. The 92mm fan is quite even at it's full speed. The unique heatpipe design on the heatsink works very effectively because they're not all alined in one straight path, which doesn't allows the heat to pass from heatpipe to heatpipe. The unit was also able to fit into my Micro-ATX case no problem with about an inch of space from the side panel. And also, getting the heatsink with a fan, a fan controller, AND TX-2 thermal paste for $13 was an absolute steal. I was just about to order myself some TX-2 for $7, but getting it for free with this new CPU cooler was just wonderful.

Cons: Although this cooler fully supports socket 1366, it DOES NOT come with a socket 1366 mounting bracket for the motherboard. Sunbeam has it sold separately, just for you folks who are curious. And some people are complaining about the fan not having PWM. Hey, you do not have to use the fan if you don't want to. Simply switch it out for another fan.

Other Thoughts: For under $13, you are getting a really great deal if you're using a motherboard with sockets LGA 775, 1366, AM2, AM2+, or AM3. And about TX-2, TX-2 is actually on par, if not better, than Arctic Silver 5. A few benchmarks from Google make it easy to see that. Check it out.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent budget cooler w/extras, 4.5

Pros: This is probably as good a deal as you'll find for a 90mm cooler. The TX-2 paste and the bracket controller are a nice touch - I didn't need it for this build but wanted it for another!

Cons: At this price none really.

Other Thoughts: For $13 shipped (with the 2 day trial) you can't really beat it. There are other deals perhaps for a slightly better cooler from time to time but they all require a mail-in rebate - plus you don't get a controller.

I do wonder if the TX-2 is all it's cracked up to be though, compared to some of the Arctic Silver products. But it's decent, plenty left over from a big tube for that matter.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I used this sucker on my 9550 3.2 phenom II quad core and it lowered by 3%.. you wouldn't think it fits, but it does and it cool better than stock.. now I have a backup if this one was to die..

Cons: none

1 out of 5 eggsForget about rebate

Pros: Product does work...

Cons: forget about any rebate you might have coming. this company does not send you your $$$. Spend the $0.44 cents to mail in the documents, and get nothing in return but a higher than expected net purchase price.
