2 out of 5 eggsenermax 120mm white led fans

Pros: Look pretty cool.
Nice to have an LED color that's not the usual red, blue color.
Price was not too bad

Cons: Lasted less than a year but since they were in my grandsons tower, I didn't find out that they went bad until the 1 year warranty was past.

Other Thoughts: I'd buy this brand again if only one of the two went out but since they both went bad within 6 months of use, I wouldn't buy this brand again. The one that works wobbles so much I'm just gonna pull it & toss it out because it's really important that one of them work because the type of cpu I installed & all the extra heatsinks on the motherboard, you do need 1 to exhaust heat out the top of the gaming tower. Running 2 fans does do a fantastic jof of getting all the heat out of the case,,,,,

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Excellent looking fans. They're nice and bright and fit very well in the case. I also noticed a small improvement in case temperature over my previous fans.

Cons: I've had them for 3 months and 2 of the 3 I bought have already gone out?! They constantly click and rattle in my case. I thought it was because they weren't fastened in well enough but that's not the case. Pushing on the center of the fan reduces the rattle so it seems to me it's rattle from the bearing track being a little sloppy. All I know is that I shouldn't have to replace 2 fans within 3 months time. Huge disappointment.

Other Thoughts: I've had good luck in the past with Enermax but this makes me really question their products.

1 out of 5 eggsGlad I'm not the only one that finds this shaky

Pros: Before it started shaking and vibrating, it was pretty good. Comparable to the Enermax Magma.

Cons: When it wears out, it shakes, A LOT. Obviously, it becomes really loud and the air flow reduces considerably.

Other Thoughts: I think it's a combination of the fan and the fan frame. The new fan's seem to be modular, so I fitted another "ENERMAX T.B. Silence UCTB12N-R" onto it. The fan was much more uniform versus the original (can see it while it spins), it's a lot quieter but still vibrates a little. I'm just worried that it'll wear out the UCTB12N.

I also put the UCCL12N onto the frame of the UCTB12, and verified that the fan itself is pretty much garbage, somehow it's way too deformed and definitely lop-sided.

Really unfortunate because I'm an Enermax fan and this really was a downer. Magma and Marathon's are not modular with these new style of fans... :/

I can't even really do any quick band-aid fixes, which gave it a solid 1 egg.

2 out of 5 eggsLoud n shakey

Pros: Great looking, Pull apart,bright.

Cons: Very Loud! rattles my corsair c-70 case. Had to rig up a molex connector to run them at very low voltage to get rid of the rattleing. but still loud!

Other Thoughts: they do look good and push alot of air.

2 out of 5 eggsLoud Loud Loud

Pros: The LEDs were bright.

Cons: Super loud. When I put it in my system it made it sound like a hair dryer was being run constantly. I'm pretty sure the one I got was defective, because other reviews say this is a quiet fan

The fan also blew air everywhere except where the fan was pointing, which pretty much defeated its purpose.

I returned it after a day; I couldn't take the hair dryer noise for any longer and it was doing nothing to cool my system.

Other Thoughts: The RMA processes was fast and easy, so I give this 2 eggs because of that only. The fan gets only 1 egg.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Value Customer,

This fan should not sound like that at all. It might have been a defective unit. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Please fill out a RMA ticket for us to replace one:

Thank you,
Customer Service

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It moves air well, and I like the white led.

Cons: At top speed it comes across as being louder than the 18dba claimed. Loud enough to get me to place a resistor in the line to bring it down a bit. It is connected to pws and not the mb. Of course noise perception is also affected by the grates the air is being blown thru so perhaps air woosh is adding to the volume. White plastic is not a turn on in my case, but meh.

5 out of 5 eggsPowerful, Quiet, BRIGHT!!!

Pros: Moves a lot more air than my stock Thermaltake fan. Nice and quiet regardless of fan speed. Detachable fan blades and frame makes cleaning as easy as can be. I didn't need an extension cable which eliminated cable clutter.

Cons: LED's are overly bright. Can't dim LED's without slowing fan.

Other Thoughts: This is better suited as CPU fan than a chassis fan due to the brightness of the white LED's, unless you want your PC to shine.

5 out of 5 eggsWhite LED Fan + Silent

Pros: -Cluster-fan design
-Silent at low speeds
-Moves a lot of air for it's price
-White LED adds a nice touch for looks

Cons: None, other than of course price

Other Thoughts: Will be buying a few more to complete all my fan slots in the tower.
