If you need the ultimate in airflow SilverStone’s FM121-B is the way to go. It has a unique 9 blade design that coupled with its 2400max RPM provides a massive 110.03CFM of air flow. Unlike many variable speed fans that only have three speed settings you can use the 3.5” bay mounted controller to set the speed from 800-2400RPM depending on your needs.

Perfect fan for my Thermalright SI-128!
- Pros: Highest CPM 120mm fan I could find (Max 110.03 CFM) Adjustable fan speed with "floppy drive" control faceplate, so you can turn down the fan when not doing CPU intensive stuff. For me, this was the perfect fan to use with my Thermalright SI-128 CPU heat sink.
- Cons: Not a negative for me, while this fan is quiet, (sounds like a normal PC, NO JET ENGINE SOUND) it is not absolutely silent. This might be important for HTPC builders, where you might need absolute silence. Very Quiet, but not dead silent.
- Other Thoughts: Perfect fan for my Thermalright SI-128 HSF. Could not be happier with this fan. I HAD an 80mm fan on my last HSF, that went up to 5000 rpm, and it sounded very loud, whereas the Silverstone fan is much quieter, while still providing a lot of air flow.
Huge Airflow
- Pros: HUGE amount of airflow, I could feel it blowing from 7 feet (213cm) away. Very sturdy, it would be hard to break it. I like the fan grill that was included also.
- Cons: Can be VERY difficult to wire from the front of a case due to the 4 pin molex connector (you must connect both the 3 pin and 4 pin). I cut my finger pretty bad on my case trying to wire it through.
- Other Thoughts: If it wasn't for the difficult wiring it would have gotten 7 eggs.

WOW this fan moves air
- Pros: This fan moves air like no tomorrow and you can adjust the fan speed externally.
- Cons: It is load when at full speed but what do you want for the amount of air it is pushing. I can't here it over my other 9 fans when it is turns down
- Other Thoughts: I will buy again
- Pros: Speed controller works well, wires are easily detachable if you want speed control out of the loop. The control pot/knob can be easily removed and placed anywhere you drill a 5/16" hole. Fan runs very smooth and super quiet at medium and slow speeds.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: Fit & Finish very good.
Works well
- Pros: Adjustable speed, quiet at lower fan speeds.
- Cons: No installation instructions.
- Other Thoughts: I bought this simply because I didn't know how much air I needed and this allows me to increase the flow should I need that. I mounted the adjuster internally so my kids won't play with the knob. It is loud at full speed when it is moving a lot of air. I adjusted it to a lower speed to the point where it became silent compared to the other fans in the case. I'll leave it there unless I percieve temperature issues.
It may sound dumb to want installation instructions but I was curious as to what to do with the yellow wire. The fan has a red and black wire on one connector close to the fan, a molex connector for power, and a long yellow wire on a three pin connector (just one pin used). I hooked up the molex to the power supply, the red and black to the controller, and the yellow to the motherboard chasis fan connector. I don't know if the yellow wire does anything in this configuration or has another use. No explanation in the box or on the website.
