Pros: I have this sitting next to a ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler ....and the way it's positioned on my motherboard the Arctic cooler bows air across this northbridge heatsink. I have it instaled on an ASUS P5N-MX which had a very hot stock heatsink....now it is COLD to the touch!!!! no need for a separate fan...looked at alot of other NB heatsinks and this one fit the bill perfectly...I DID take a chance on this cause it said DFI only...and it was the largest and cheapest at 9.99 and free shipping!!!

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: even if you do install this on a motherboard that has the CPU fan positione away from this NB cooler you could just install a fan with the included clips and it will work GREAT! I hate a NB that raises temps in the case to high levels...this will spread heat to every other component in the case...GET ONE OF THESE!

Pros: I also got this heatsink in a combo deal with my mobo. Its definitely not bad considering it was free but definitely not top of the line. I lucked out because it just fit flush against my enormous Gemini II CPU cooler so luckily the size wasnt too big of a factor for me.

Cons: The size could cause many problems for other people and again the fan brackets might as well be made out of paper clips. In fact I think they are

Very bad design

Pros: 47 degrees celsius is not bad. It came with my motherboard.

Cons: This thing is a disaster of a design. It's absolutely massive, causing lots of clutter. To top it off, the bracket system to attach a fan to it is an absolute joke.

Other Thoughts: Not that I would ever pay 40$ for a northbridge heatsink unless it was a waterblock, but 40$ for something so poorly designed and with such lack of function is just a rip-off.

If online stores were Mythological beings, newegg would be Zeus.
