1 out of 5 eggsBearing failure

Pros: Looks cool.

Cons: Not much airflow. Awkward design makes it difficult to fit. Fan bearing failed after 1.5 years.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear the fan has become defective. Please send it in for RMA and we can send you a replacement. This memory cooler is a single 3,500 RPM fan, so it is perfect for moving air out of the memory slots area. With regards to fitment, it should clip right onto any motherboard's memory slots. If you have any further questions or issues, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsG.Skill Memory Fan

Pros: Price - Unbeatable
Simple Installation
Blue LED (matches my CM Storm Sniper - Colors)
Quiet

Cons: None in the first month of ownership.

Other Thoughts: Though the fan is still new and it is soon to know if it will last, I am completely satisfied with the purchase. It is my first G.Skill item. They priced it right and stole me from the Corsair Memory Fan. I had to have the Blue LED for $13.

5 out of 5 eggsI Don't care if I dont realy need this

Pros: Fits perfectly on my MB (EVGA
Model 132-BL-E758-A1)
This MB has 6 DIM slots so this thing looks like it was made for this board.
What the Hell costs less than 2 packs of smokes I realy dont care if this does nothing.
It looks awesome took 20 seconds to install, and it probably is keeping my 16Gb of RAM super frosty.
But seriously it can't hurt to have this fan running .

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsG.Skill Memory Fan

Pros: Durable Design / Quality Materials
Cool Blue Light
Sturdy
Easy Installation (Easy as it Gets)

Super Solution to cooling memory and making your system look cool at a cheap, affordable price. I paid around $13 shipped!

Cons: No Cons identified at this point.

Other Thoughts: A solid metallic or matt black would have been better, but I am very happy with it so far.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Does what it says, makes my memory rig looks awesome.
It's blue lighting is a bit annoying if your case theme is red, but it's not that bright so it doesn't destroy the theme.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I kept thinking this is a luxury item for memory, but I got 12GB kit all installed together closely, so I thought that justifies it, and so far, it has been perfect.

2 out of 5 eggsMay not fit.

Pros: Clips on the the ends of the DIMM sockets and pushes cool air onto the RAM. Does not cost much.

Cons: BIG FAT FAN in the middle makes this nearly impossible to use on almost any system because it will interfere with the CPU FAN and you will not be able to make it fit.

If you do not have a fan outlet on the motherboard you will need to find an adapter to plug this into a power supply connector. It does not come with one.

Other Thoughts: If you have the stock cooling fan then this will most likely work for you. Any other CPU Heatsink and Fan combo will most likely be too big and the BIG FAT FAN on this memory cooler will be in the way.

Notice the ends of this unit and how narrow they are. The are just wide enough to fit over the ends of four DIMM sockets. The entire unit should not be any wider than the four modules.

Get a more expensive unit with two small fans.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear you are not satisfied with your purchase. As with puchasing memory with tall heat spreaders, if you plan on using an aftermarket CPU cooler, you should know that anything taller than standard memory could pose an issue. This memory cooler does fit over four slot configurations. It is perfect for those that have all 4 slots populated for maximum memory capacity. With fully populated slots, the memory can be warm, so this cooler helps lower temperature immensely. If you have any further questions or issues, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Thank you

4 out of 5 eggsGood Cooler But......

Pros: Cools well and is priced right. It does not make lots of noise either.

Cons: Fan went bad after about 6 months. Going to file an RMA request if I can ship it back to them cheap. If not it just goes in the garbage can. Too bad cause I really liked it.

Other Thoughts: The bad thing about less expensive stuff is that if it goes bad, the cost of shipping it back kind of ruins having any type of warranty on the item.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. We are sorry to hear the fan has gone bad. Simply contact our RMA department and they will be able to set you up with a replacement. As far as cost for shipping, we only require USPS First Class w/ Delivery Confirmation, so shipping should always be around $4 for our products. We apologize for any inconvenience.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter fot for tri channel memory

Pros: This is a very efficient affordable ram cooling fan. The design is just right.

Cons: The specs don't say anything about dual channel or tri channel memory cooling, so for the price I thought I would give it a shot, hopping it would work for my dual channel setup. Unfortunately it hits my cpu heat sink and the fan sites crocked. This fan is really for a tri channel setup, I can see it working on some dual channel but make sure you have the room between your cpu and ram.

Other Thoughts: I really couldn't knock an egg off because of this issue, because I also own a Corsair ram fan and seeing the design difference I like this Gskill cooler more. The reason being, the Corsair ram cooler is all metal and has a screw design that is just a pain to deal with. This Gskill cooler being that it is a flexible plastic its much more convenient to handle, pops right on with no tweeking or tools. despite the Corsair cooler has 3 fans compaired to just one, the CFMs are comparable and well Gskill cost less.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good Memory Fan

Pros: Very easy to install (took less then 10 seconds)
Plug right into motherboard 3 pin connector, was able to control fan speed through BIOS. (Low fan noise) Set in BIOS 60% percent for optimal performance.
Run PRIME95 for two hours and memory was very, very cool.
Running without this cooler - using PRIME95, memory was a bit HOT. (I notice huge temp drop with this cooler)

Memory that I have:
DDR2-1066MHz 5-5-5-15 at 2.1 volts
Running on my system 4x2GB = 8GB total memory RAM.
Patriot Viper 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model PVS24G8500ELKR2

Cons: It is a bit bulky - meaning if you have large custom CPU fan-cooler it might interfere; for me their was no problem since I use basic water-cooling solution Corsair H50 solution.

It is really not con, it also depends on the what type of motherboard you have, meaning how close memory is to CPU.

Other Thoughts: It looks very nice in your case with blue-led light :)

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It works, it fits well over 4 sticks of G.Skill F2-8500CL5-2GBPK RAM, it's quiet, the cable is long and it has a LED

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I'd prefer the LED to be red, but whatever
