5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Cooler

Pros: Bought this to replace the reference cooler on my HD7970. It cut my temperatures in half!!!! I paired this with 2 Enermax 120MM fans and now my idle temperature is averaging at about 24c and my load temperature hasn't topped 37c yet. I played about 2.5 hours straight of Battlefield 4 with all the settings maxed out at 1080P and my temperature never went pass 37c!!!! My original cooler I would see idle temperatures of around 50c-53c and load temperatures of around 78c-80c. So it has drastically cut my temperatures down. The cooler itself has lots of heat pipes, and is of a good solid design. The cooler seems very similar to Thermalright GPU coolers. it comes with a shim to work on the HD7970 which is nice, most aftermarket coolers don't support the HD7970 do to the way the GPU is set on the board. It also comes with some thermal paste, fan clips that allow for 2 120MM or 140MM Fans or a mix of the 2, all the necessary install hardware for most AMD and Nvida GPUs, there is a fan plug that converts 2 3-pin or 4-pin fans to work with a GPUs fan plug, extra heatsinks for the on-board RAM and VRMs too.

Cons: It's big, it barely fit in my Rosewill Blackhawk case. I have less than half a centimeter of space between the cooler and the side of the case. It will not fit in a small case and many mid tower ATX case will probably have problems fitting it in. Some may have bending issues with their cards do to how much the cooler ways. I didn't, but others may. It was hard to get the heatsinks for the RAM to stay on, you really have to press down on them.

Other Thoughts: Installed on an Visiontek HD7970 3GB Reference Card with 2 120MM Enermax T.B. Silence UCTB12N-R Red LED Fans,

5 out of 5 eggsGot 4 Slots? Droppin' 30!

Pros: 30 degree celsius drop. All my temps are taken from EVGA Precision X.

Cons: Takes up FOUR slots with two 140 mm Corsair fans. Yes, that's with the GPU included.

Other Thoughts: My PC runs dual SLI, EVGA GTX 770 3778 KR. The primary GPU is where I installed this on. It was running 20+ degrees C higher than my secondary GPU, CONSISTENTLY. Upon installation, it now reads 10 degrees C lower than my 2nd GPU.

Need I write more for you to buy this setup? Didn't think so.

Be careful, the brackets hold fans up to 25 mm.

5 out of 5 eggsGTX 680 Classified

Pros: Works great on Nvidia EVGA GTX 680 Classified 4GB, ( 2 side by side 8 pin power connectors)

--Cooler is two inches shorter than card OAL, yet idles much cooler than laughable stock 'cooler'

--Idles all day at 27C (80F) (70F-ish room ambient)

--This idle temp is basically interchangeable with my CPU I7 4820K idle temps. CPU is under a Noctua NH-D14. Both have AS-5 thermal paste. Obviously if tasked heavily, the CPU runs bit cooler than GPU but that's to be expected I'd say

--Ripping mad BF4 sessions haven't seen it above 65C (149F).

--Stock cooler used to approach 79C (175F).

--Max temp for 680's are 98C (208F)

--Compliments air cooled glory, or 'theme' of the Noctua NH-D14 pretty well. Not quite as refined but this is made in China vs Germany. Still very well made though

Cons: --Like other have said, no compatibility using included clips for the low profile 140mm Prolimatech fans. On a $2000 system I'm using rubber bands (GASP!!) to hold the fans in place.

--I had to break a very small plastic body/cooler support tab to make cooler fit down onto and contact GPU die. The tab is very insignificant (aluminum piece, size of pencil head, not critical at all) Sure it's only with this specific GTX 680 card

--Takes up room my system is single GPU so no tears from me, just be advised, Ramirez

Other Thoughts: Hope this helps someone thinking about getting one for their 680 Classified. Great item for the price, not a lot of options for something sexy or model-specific GPU coolers out there, but this one works fine. Just do it. You won't regret it!!

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing cooling

Pros: Easy to install, fantastic cooling, comes with almost everything you need.

Cons: Vary large, doesn't come with clips for Prolimatech USV14 fans. This card with a couple of fans on it will most definitely take up 4 slots. It would be impossible to use this in a multi-card system.

Other Thoughts: This cooler replaced an aging Accelero Xtreme Plus II on my HD 7950. Under loads, the card was getting into the low 70s with the Accelero. Now it's barely making 60 under full load for an extended period of time. Idle temps are barely above ambient (upper 20s). This is probably the best air cooled choice out there aside from the amount of space it takes up.

5 out of 5 eggsTemps dropped 25c and quieter than reference on 6970

Pros: I already knew I liked Prolimatech products after owning the Megahalems (Rev A) for a few years. I loved the quality, performance and one major overlooked area , ease of install.
The MK-26 has the same atributes as the Megahalems. Awesome cooling, very sturdy and relatively easy to install.

Cons: The VRM heatsink barely makes contact with cooler on my Sapphire 6970 (reference v2 , no bios switch model). I could slightly bend a fin over if needed.
Instructions were ok but not great. Wish they would have short edited how to videos on their website for the common video cards.

Other Thoughts: Going for a quieting gaming rig I tossed up the idea of a new 7950/7970 with a better cooler than my current refurb replacement 6970 that I got from Sapphire. My stock cooler would idle around 62c at 30% fan which I could hear over my 140mm case fans. Furmark at auto fan control would run into mid 85c range. Gaming would run around 75c. Now I idle at 40c and it is near silent using Prolimatech fans and NXKT fan controller. Furmark now runs at 60c or tops on 65c with fans running 5v.

Wow! I love it! Glad I upgraded to my Fractal XL R2 last month. Plenty of room. My cooling will get better when I remove my PCI XFI sound card that is covering up some of the fans. THe cooler only takes 4 slots and I have the soundcard in the 5th slot. I used two zip ties through a corner hole on one of the fans closest to the motherboard and make a straight support putting the block portion of the zip tie behind a hole/slot in the case and simply pulled up the slack so the card sits level with no bending downwards. Works great.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat air cooler, low noise paired with Prolimatech Vortex fans

Pros: Great air cooler, you can get water temps with this monster.
Quiet if using low speed fans.

Cons: Size, it's huge, takes 4 slots using Prolimatech slim 140mmx15mm fans and 5 slots using 25mm fans.
Weight, video card bends if mounted horizontally.

Other Thoughts: I used it on a Silverstone case, with vertical mount for the video card to avoid the bent problem.

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I was looking for

Pros: BIg, lots of heatpipes and fins, can fit two 120/140mm fans, good accessories etc...

Cons: space constraints, looks like another case just got skeletonized, big towers/desktops i think will be safe

Other Thoughts: i got this to cool down my non-reference gigabyte gtx470, and oh man from 68c at idle to 35c at idle, really. I was looking to watercool this card, but not now, lol. This cooler is "le merde" , I highly reccomend, once back in stock. I could not be happier,. Oh and ditch the foam pad for the back plate, my card would not postup with it on, and had to use the ati brackets to get it to fit, and it fit like a glove!

5 out of 5 eggsQuite impressed!

Pros: Originally came from a 7870 with a Gigabyte cooler on it. For those that don't know, Gigabyte's cooler happens to be the coolest aftermarket heatsink from the factory. And Indeed it was.. Until I installed the Prolimatech MK-26.

Normally, the Gigabyte 7870 would have temperatures around 51-54c average while the fans are set to a quietness of 4-5 db above ambient.

With the Prolimatech MK-26, i'd get 38-41c on average! An incredible improvement! All while keeping the db at 3-4 higher than recorded ambient.

Installation was easy as long as you read the instructions and look at the pieces with some thought.

Cons: Can cause some pcb bending if you do not have a pcb backplate or brace on the side . Fortunately the Gigabyte came with a metal brace to keep it straight. But reference cards may not have a way to prevent pcb bending.

Instructions can be partially confusing. (for the 7870, I had to use the included black screws that was only said to be for 7970/7950. Note to prolimatech: please put "7000" series to it too !)

Other Thoughts: One of the possible reasons why it had an incredible temperature decrease could be because of the compatibility with two 140m fans. (two 140mm fans running at equivalent DB's vs the three 90mm fans on the gigabyte heatsink. The two 140's will undoubtedly have more airflow!)
And..I wish the black version had come to the US sooner. oh well.

5 out of 5 eggsMk-26 Amazing!!

Pros: Just wanted to give my results of this amazing gpu cooler.
I have a GTX 680 4gb video card.
Stock temps reached 33* idle and 67* load playing HoN and SC2.
With this cooler I reached idle temps of 26* and an amazing 37* load playing the same games.
With this kind of performance the price you pay for the mk-26 is money well spent.

Cons: I have no cons for this gpu cooler.
