1 out of 5 eggsWobbly

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: wobbled quite a bit, didn't really cool the system like I had hoped it would. Over all very disappointing.

3 out of 5 eggsGrinding Noise

Pros: -Blows air
-I can feel the air
-Can be positioned next to a graphics cars

Cons: -50% of the time on boot up, it makes a obnoxious grinding noise. It sounds like the blades grinding on something on the casing. I can't find the source and it only happens on 1 of 2 boots.

Other Thoughts: It says "Lifetime Warranty" on the packaging, so I guess I'll try to return it.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes a great job exhausting air

Pros: Does a great job exhausting, it seems that the air is blown out more forcefully and at higher volumes than the 2 60mm "silent" fans in my HTPC (located at behind of case also, above middle of mATX mobo). These 2 fans blow out warmer air (surely from the south bridge) and then the mATX PSU also exhausts out the back, and blows out the warmest air. The PCI slot cooler blows out room temp air, and it's next to a Hauppauge 2250 tuner card and a ATI 4650 GPU card.

Cons: Not silent. I can hear it in my living room. Don't get me wrong, it's perfect for a desktop (bought another 3 of these), put one in my wife's older Compaq which has a small FANLESS nVidia GPU and the heat was causing the mobo to shut itself down. After this fan was installed, not a single problem or shutdown, and it's pretty much inaudible in the case under the desk.

My other issue is that it hooks up only to molex, which I knew buying it, but wish it could hook up to 3 or 4 pin mobo chassis fan, so that it only ran when the computer was on and not hibernating. When the HTPC is hibernating and the only sound I can hear in my living room is the (quiet, yet audible) hum of a fan, it annoys me. I like my A/V equipment to be silent boxes.

Other Thoughts: Inexpensive, works great, very quiet.... but in my HTPC can still hear it in my living room.... but I haven't found a "silent fan" yet, so this fan gets good marks from me.

3 out of 5 eggsOK, quiet, but one died already.

Pros: Works, reversable.

Cons: Had one of the two die on me already (8 months)

Other Thoughts: Not sure how much these help out....

5 out of 5 eggsit does move air!

Pros: I really cannot complain because its 3 dollars i bought it with my graphics card just because. But it does after all move some air but if you want to spend 3 dollars wisely spend 6 and buy a good one.

Cons: none for the price

Other Thoughts: my case=hot..... still but i didn't expect this to do much about that anyway

2 out of 5 eggsfailed at 6 months

Pros: eh . . . ?

Cons: failed after six months, negligible cooling

Other Thoughts: purchased it to cool a video card that I thought would be a bit much for my system. fan was probably worth about 2 degrees of cooling. came home tonight to a loud buzzing from the case, just relieved it was the $3 fan and not something else. I could probably repair it, but why bother?

3 out of 5 eggsWorks, but a little on the cheap side.

Pros: Cheap, and does move hot air away from my video card.

Cons: Worked flawless for about 3 months, now most of the time when I start my PC the fan makes a loud buzzing sound for the first several minutes of operation.

4 out of 5 eggsGood fan

Pros: -90mm fan!
Very quiet fan.
Nice fat pci slot fan allows it to move a huge amount of air. Significantly larger than my thermaltake pci slot fan.

Cons: -Is about 30% louder than a normal pci slot fan, although this could probably be circumvented by cutting the plastic grate off the turbofan. Would also increase airflow a lot.

Other Thoughts: Doesn't have lights. Bracket works just as any other PCI slot bracket would...

5 out of 5 eggsgood product....

Pros: centerfugal impeller design moves air quickly and quietly and pushes a fair amount of air out of the case. design set up is that which draws air in from one side of the fan and blows the hot air out the pci slot.

Cons: 1. it wasn't free
2. no leds, but i knew that when buying and its not really a con....

Other Thoughts: previous complaints about the bracket being overly loose or poorly attached i feel are a bit exaggerated. the bracket is a snap on design which is good if you requier the airflow from the other direction, just be mindful it is plastic and if you push too hard it can break.... and yes with most pci slot devices this device will use up one pci slot, but you already knew that..... :)

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth the purchase.

Pros: Very inexpensive. Looks good.

Cons: Heats up the inside of the case more than it cools. The fan runs so hot that it doesn't blow enough air to compensate. Also doesn't blow near as much air as it should.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. I hooked up 2 of them in my system and it actually RAISED the case temp 4 degrees celcius.
