Engineered for both silent operation and maximum airflow, Spectre will keep your entire system well ventilated without making it sound like an airplane hangar. Spectre LED Fans are designed with sickle fan blades, which enhance airflow without producing excess noise. Spectre is also the first LED fan series on the market that supports on-the-fly LED light switching when used together with the BitFenix Hydra Fan Controller or BitFenix Survivor Chassis, allowing you to turn the lights on and off with a press of a button. Don't have either of those? No problem. Spectre can also be used as a regular LED fan with jumper-selectable on/off.

4 out of 5 eggsA good replacement fan

Pros: -Powerful

Cons: -Comes with a useless extra wire (don't use, there's no need for it)

Other Thoughts: A good little fan, the extra wire that came with it. Don't use it, it's not needed. I thought I burned my PC because of it.
But overall it's a good fan and I would buy another if I need it.

1 out of 5 eggsDidn't work on my case

Pros: It worked.

Cons: If Bitfenix made more holes in this fan, it would fit every case out there. Does NOT fit on the Cooler Master HAF XB which is a shame since I run a CPU cooler and need a 200 x 200 x 20mm mounted fan.
Also DID NOT come with screws, so that was super annoying. This fan has a spot for more screw holes on the side, but the screws can't puncture the plastic covering the extra holes it does have.

3 out of 5 eggsDoes not fit on my case

Pros: Very Quiet when running normally, but makes a rattling noise from time to time (may be the way I mounted it), LEDS are "Ok" in terms of aesthetics.

Cons: I have an NZXT Phantom (Full tower case, BLACK) and I have 3 200mm (one of them is 230 capable as well) fan mounts, the fan is the right size but the frame is just a little too big.

Ended up using zip ties to put it on my side mount (top mount would be totally impossible.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat fan, but go with Pro instead

Pros: Moves plenty of air and is very quiet. Jumper for LEDs is the reason I got it.

Cons: It only has mounting holes on ONE side - the exhaust side. I went to mount it on my side panel as an intake, where the intake side of the fan is against the case wall, only to find that I need a much longer screw to reach across the width of the fan. Ended up just using some longer screws I had laying around.

I believe the Spectre Pro has mounting holes on both sides, so if this is an issue for you, shell out the extra few bucks for the Pro.

Other Thoughts: Great fan otherwise - just wish I'd looked more carefully at the mounts before I bought it.

Side note - these fans are great if you want to turn your LEDs on/off. I plan on cutting the jumper and wiring in a simple switch to turn them on and off.
