4 out of 5 eggsLow profile CPU Fan

Pros: This fan has been great, I got an extremely small ITX case and this Low profile CPU Fan worked great

Cons: none at the moment

2 out of 5 eggsDoes not fit Intel DH77DF Mainboard

Pros: Very low profile and uses a heat pipe.

Cons: Does not fit Intel BOXDH77DF motherboard. Obstructs connections near PCIe x16 slot. Noisy on some boards that require tweaking of fan settings (ASRock H67m-ITX/HT). A fan that was noisy on the ASRock H67M-ITX is quieter when used on the DH77DF than even the Gelid on the ASRock and is half the price. This is as much an issue of how the motherboard controls the PWM fan as the noise produced by the fan.

Other Thoughts: Could blame compatibility on Intel, but buyers should be aware of compatibility issues.

3 out of 5 eggsWell-built but not silent

Pros: Low-profile, sturdily buit, straightforward installation.

Cons: Not as quiet as the stock Intel heatsink/cooler.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this to use in a quiet desktop system (ASRock H67M-ITX motherboard, Intel core i3-2120T, Travla C138 case) thinking that it would live up to the silence in its name. However, it is actually somewhat louder than the stock heatsink. The fan makes a very faint "jiggling" sound even at low speeds. You wouldn't hear this over disk drive or case fan noises, but since the heatsink doesn't cool as well as the stock cooler, sound reduction alone isn't a justification for buying the unit. On the plus side, it is very low profile and fits the motherboard like a glove. I'll be keeping this unit for use in a future project that requires a tight fit.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Low profile. Unlike the stock Intel fan for Celeron / Pentium Sandy Bridge CPU's, it's low enough to fit in an M350 Mini-ITX enclosure.

Cons: Doesn't cool particularly well so the PWM fan at about 2500 rpm at idle, which results in more noise than the stock fan. At idle, it is audible from about 6' away in a quiet room.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for Iwill HT80 (or any SFF) mini ITX HTPC case

Pros: Lives up to the "silence" in its name
Cools very well in a tight space
Hefty, high quality
Copper bottom with paste pre-applied
1U height without being a blower style (aka loud)
Fits perfectly in Iwill HT80 mini ITX HTPC case

Cons: More expensive than competitors like the NT07-1156 or the new Titan 30mm HSF
A bit of a pain to install with the four piece pins
Can only be found at Newegg (re: scared of it going out of stock)

Other Thoughts: I needed a 1U (28mm) HSF for my new Iwill HT80 mini ITX HTPC case so that I could fit a G620 but still have the SSD mounted under the ODD tray. Most of the HSFs I looked at were either too tall or were server HSFs which reviews said were loud. I decided to give this Gelid a try and I am thrilled. Everything fits great in the case now. It's very quiet and even in the tight space while running Prime95 I never saw temps go over 125F. The system to install is a bit of a pain with these little black stick on rings that need to go on each side of the mounting holes and then each pin is four pieces so there's a lot of flipping the motherboard back-and-forth. It was worth it though because it completed my little Iwill HT80 bedroom HTPC. For these kind of SFF HTPC builds this will be my go-to HSF. Newegg please keep stocking these!!

4 out of 5 eggsGood low profile HDPC heatsink

Pros: Perfect fit with Zotac H67ITX-C-E motherboard, easy to install, solid and quiet. Easy to install without worrying about bending the motherboard.

Cons: Doesn't quite cool a 65W i5-660 enough to keep the temperature from eventually creeping above 70C at full load.

Other Thoughts: Don't completely tighten the mounting screws on the heat sink until you install the motherboard to help avoid overtightening.
