5 out of 5 eggsWorks if you need a slim fan

Pros: Normally I don't review fans but I see some reviews I want to clear up. First, this fan doesn't come with LEDs, so its not supposed to light up... there is a model that comes with them; it costs a little more. The fins are supposed to be UV reactive I guess, but the fan doesn't have any light source itself. Beyond that, I am quite impressed with how quiet this fan is. I was worried that a slimmer fan might have more motor whine to it, but it is quite quiet. The airflow is great too, working as well as a regular sized fan (I mean it's no scythe gentle typhoon, but it moves as much air or more than a stock case fan). There aren't very many options on the market for a slimmer fan, but thankfully this one is working well.

Cons: Yes I agree it is a bad design that the screw holes are designed to only mount this fan as an exhaust. If you need a slim fan as an intake, you can still use this one by hitting up your local hardware store. Just get some screws and bolts and do a bolt-through mount. Individual misc. pieces from the store are usually 8 - 10 cents a piece. Your standard computer screw is #6 32-threading if you want to stick with the standard (or if you are mounting this to a radiator like me).

Other Thoughts: I was putting a cooler master H60 in a Lian Li PC-Q08. I needed a slimmer fan for the radiator. This works perfectly.

5 out of 5 eggsA slim 120mm that is blue!

Pros: I finally found the fan I needed to finish a build. A friend wanted ALL of the fan slots filled. One of them has a max clearance of 18mm. This is what I found to fill that slot. It is only 12mm thick and has a braided harness for the cord which is plenty long for my use.

Cons: I'm not sure if I should call it a con but it gives off a slightly different blue tint than the other fans used. I expected this because of it's color but went with it anyway.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor Fan Design

Pros: It was slim and the wires were well sleeved and came with an extension.

Cons: First of all, the lights on this fan do not turn at all. It still blows, but the lights don't work. Another issues is that the screws can only go in for the fan to be oriented as an exhaust fan. I bought this fan to fit in a tight spot as an intake, and that should've been advertised. This fan was very disappointing especially after wrestling with the screws, the lights didn't even work. There are better fans out there.

Other Thoughts: I don't know if this is common or not for the lights not to be working but nobody really needs a slim fan it's better to get a trustworthy standard size that you know will work. No tricks with how it will screw in, and it's a lot cheaper. Not worth the price.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for limited spce

Pros: I am using this fan to direct/ circulate air on to the back of my motherboard (Using a Rosewill Blackhawk case). There is a pre-fabricated mounting area (on the motherboard side case cover) but space is quite limited. This fan fits nicely with a little room to spare, no clearance issues what so ever. Very well constructed.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The screws that came with it are a little small in diameter and did not bite the mounting holes very well so I used different ones... Doesn't really qualify as a "con" in my book.

5 out of 5 eggsthey fit!

Pros: I bought these specifically to mount as my top exhaust fans underneath the panel for a flush look (instead of externally like some cases intend) & they worked perfectly

plenty of clearance between the top panel & the motherboard.

Cons: not really a con, but I'm surprised that there aren't more manufactures offering these slim line of fans... there loss, GELID's gain i guess

Other Thoughts: currently using these on a LIAN LI PC-7HB case, but would expect them to clear many other models with top fan mounts

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: It's thin

Cons: DOA, tries to spin up for a split second, then just sits there. Over priced fan, and it doesn't even perform.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Fan

Pros: Good fan for tight spaces

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: Purchased fan for placement on right side of Roswell Black hawk case, fits with room to spare, lowered mobo temp by 10deg

3 out of 5 eggsNot that slim

Pros: I can not speak on the actual quality of the fan. I bought if for my side intake, since my 212+ evo wont fit the stock one. It did not fit, so I did not use it.

Cons: Its not that slim. It would not fit in my Blackhawk case with my evo 212+ CPU cooler. I suppose I could have used it for the back of my mobo, but I don't think it was worth it there.

Other Thoughts: My temps are reasonable without a side fan. I have my 4670k running at 4400mhz and I hit 90C under a load test/ and 28C idle. I don't need more speed now, but if I did, I would probably go liquid cooling, or possibly delid (although that seems a little scary)

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: Quiet and Slim.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I had gotten a H100 but the fans were too bulky to fit comfortably at the top of my case (even though I have a full case). I was able to get it to work with this fan.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: One of the few low profile fans available, reasonably quiet, fliud bearing, PWM control. Has an LED, and on/off switch for LED. Braided wire with plenty of length. Looks cool.

Cons: Rubber mounts are not supplied, and you cannot use normal rubber mounts even if you had them. The screw holes make no sense, they are fitted for exhaust only, but why? (docked one egg for this). See other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a great fan. The only negative is the silly screw holes that try to force you to orient the fan as exhaust only. There's no reason I could see for imposing such a limitation. The supplied screws were just long enough that I could very carefully secure it as an intake without stripping, but I had to insert home made plastic inserts into the large holes to make it work.
