Cool your CPU with the Phanteks PH-F140HP fan. This fan is 140mm in size, and has UFB bearings for swift rotation. Its PWM function controls fan speeds ranging from 600- to 1300RPM during intensive tasks. The Maelström Vortex Booster enhances the capability of the fan. It delivers a better airflow with a noise level of 15.22- to 19dBA, with only 1.8W of power consumption.

  • newegg MVB (Maelström Vortex Booster) The new nine high-pressure MVB blades are precisely angled to generate a silent controlled airflow. The blades produces a downdraft vortex, allowing for a greater amount of air passage through, and reduced airflow turbulence across, the surface of the blades to create significantly better performance and airflow while keeping noise to a minimum.
  • newegg UFB bearing (Updraft Floating Balance bearing) Composed by MOSS and SSC systems, Phanteks’ UFB bearings have an effective hub-tip ratio to achieve a state of equilibrium, reducing air- and vibration noise. SSC provides an increase in the bearing’s lifespan, and ensures that the fan’s axis is consistently operational and quiet.
  • newegg PWM Speed Control The PH-F140HP’s PWM functions allow users to adjust the speed from 600- to 1300RPM: higher speed for performance, and lower speed for silent operation.
  • newegg Enhanced structure The PH-F140HP has a larger base size with a magnetic brushless DC motor to avoid the effects of resonance and for rotational stability. To create better structural strength and reduce the vibration occurrence, Phanteks has redesigned the back frame of the PH-F140HP.

3 out of 5 eggsunhappy

This review is from: Phanteks PH-F140HP PH-F140HP_BK 140mm CPU Cooler Fan

Pros: better cooling than my arctic f14

Cons: sound

Other Thoughts: Theses are supposed to be silent, and from the reviews i've seen/heard, they certainly are. unfortunately, I think i received a defective one. There is a loud buzzing at any RPM. Newegg's return shipping policy makes it pointless to try to exchange this. I'm pretty unhappy about it

4 out of 5 eggsgood fans

This review is from: Phanteks PH-F140HP PH-F140HP_BK 140mm CPU Cooler Fan

Pros: 140mm fans designed to fit 120mm mounting,
inaudible at 700rpm

Cons: noisy at 900rpm or above

Other Thoughts: noisy compared to cougar vortex, these fans are quiet at 700rpm, but at 900rpm they're noisy especially when you have 4 or more in your case, i have a total of 8 fans, (1 frt intake, 1 exhaust, 4 in a pull push config on 2 120mm water coolers, and 2 side intake) even with 1 phantek at 900rpm it's noticable over my other fans, especially in a pitch quiet room; they provide good airflow at 900rpm and 1200rpm, but if you're picky about noise as I am look elsewhere.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper Quiet

This review is from: Phanteks PH-F140HP PH-F140HP_BK 140mm CPU Cooler Fan

Pros: - Perfect for my 4 year old Hyper 212 plus air cooler and kept my temps down really good. Because it's a 140mm, it's covering the whole air cooler unlike those 120 fans which is a huge pro for cooling the cooler.

- Relatively cheap for what it is and esp. compared to others. It really is the cheapest 140mm fan out there atm and it also fits 140mm and 120mm brackets!

- No sound at all besides the air.

- Huge CFM (blows good air) even though it gets spread due to being 140mm itself.

Cons: - Wished all fans are seperatable like many of enermax's fans that I've bought so it'll be easy to clean the hard to clean spots and have a nice and clean looking PC all the time.

Other Thoughts: - Just hoping it will last long enough for its money's worth.

- This is a must buy fan if you're looking for 120mm and/or 140mm fans with the lowest sound (dBA) and super strong air blowing (good, if not huge CFM). Literally best bang for the buck and not already superior imo.

5 out of 5 eggsMoves a lot of air

This review is from: Phanteks PH-F140HP PH-F140HP_BK 140mm CPU Cooler Fan

Pros: they move a lot more air then the fractal r2 fans that come in the define r4. I believe 1 of my r2 fans is bad seeing as its way louder then any other fan in my case which is downer seeing as the case is less then a month old. they are fairly quite at full speed and barely audible @ 1000 rpm and down. they look good and match the rest of the style of the case.

Cons: not as much hardware included as with noctua fans ( just a bag of screws as another mentioned) , cables are a little short luckily i had some extensions left over from my noctua's,

Other Thoughts: I bought these with there 20% off sale they had going on, picking 3 of em up for under $40. I'm not sure whey they boosted the price to $20 as even on phanteks website they are still $14.99. I know they are pwn fans and not case fans but I like buying things that can be used as needed later on and i can't use a case fan as a rad fan. the 120mm mounting holes are a strange design but actually worked out great for fitting them in smaller places then typical 140 could mount, also i can re-purpose them later and mount them to my h100i if i wanted to, I'd like to see if there were any difference compared to the 120mm noctuas. all in all there great fans and I'll most likely be buying some more as I upgrade some things.

4 out of 5 eggsAir movement

This review is from: Phanteks PH-F140HP PH-F140HP_BK 140mm CPU Cooler Fan

Pros: These fans move a ton of air.
Sleeved cable for a tidy appearance.
For my build the color was great.

Cons: 120mm mount holes..

Other Thoughts: I'm not the type of person to go nuts about fan noise while gaming and I was incredibly surprised with the amount of noise these make while I'm playing games. They are what I would call quiet. I'm an idiot and ordered the cpu cooler model and not the case fan model so they made a mess of my case fan setup, but that was my problem so I didn't remove an egg for it. The one egg removed was for the length of the cable. It seemed too short to reach around the back of my motherboard to tidy up the appearance so I had to run it across the top, luckily they look good.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Fan, Quiet

This review is from: Phanteks PH-F140HP PH-F140HP_BK 140mm CPU Cooler Fan

Pros: This fan is very quiet compared to similar fans that are 140mm but have 120mm mounts. I am using just one of these in the center of a silver arrow. From my experience, the noisiest fan on a heatsink with dual towers is the center fan. This I believe is due to the restriction and contact to the heatsink on both sides of the frame. However, this fan still pushes a nice bit of air and does it without vibrating the heat sink.

Cons: I already knew what it came with so this isnt a con for me, but for the product in general. Compared to Noctua fans that are in direct competition to this offering, I'd say this product is behind quite a bit in the accessory department. (Only comes with fan screws.)

Other Thoughts: I would say that this particular fan is Phanteks' take on a Thermalright TY based fan. They list it as quieter than a TY-141, but with more air output. I'd say it gets pretty close, and this is due to the slightly higher blade count in addition to the technology Phanteks is using for bearings and blades. The TY-141 and the PH-F140HP are very closely priced. If I was to choose between the two, I would choose the Phanteks hands down.
