DEEPCOOL Gabriel CPU Cooler
Four Heatpipes - Low Profile - HTPC SFF Cooler - 120mm PWM Slim and Silent Fan

DEEPCOOL

Low-Profile Design

Based on the concept of designing a small form factor cooler for Mini ITX boards, the overall dimensions of Gabriel are 120 x 120 x 60mm, with a 20mm-deep fan included. The low-profile design ensures the widest compatibility.

DEEPCOOL

Four Heatpipes & Nickel Plating

Gabriel consists of a copper base with four soldered copper heatpipes and aluminum fins. The full set of heatsink is nickel-plated in order to inhibit oxidization and ensure a long lifespan.

DEEPCOOL

Silent PWM Fan

Gabriel is equipped with a high performance 120mm cooling fan, which can push 61.93CFM airflow to cool down the heatsink. This slim fan is PWM controlled, running at 900-1800 ± 10% RPM. However, it is very quiet - at 18.2dBA - due to its extraordinary dynamic balance.

DEEPCOOL

Highly Durable Fan Cable

The fan cable is made of PTFE (Poly Tetra Fluoro Ethylene), which withstands high temperatures and heavy duty usage. Two pieces of rubber cable ties are attached to route the fan cable to keep everything in place.

DEEPCOOL

CPU Socket Compatibility

With multiple clips, Gabriel can support all mainstream Mini ITX processors including Intel LGA1150 / 1151 / 1155 / 1156 and AMD FM2 / FM1 / AM3+ / AM3 / AM2+ / AM2.

5 out of 5 eggsFits with ASRock Z170 ITX motherboard LGA 1151, installing with Intel i7 K6700 and GSKILL DDR4 3400 16GB with lastly Cooler Master Case, Power Supply fits.

Pros: Fits with ASRock Z170 ITX motherboard LGA 1151, installing with i7 K6700 and GSKILL DDR4 3400 16GB with lastly Cooler Master Case and Cooler Master Gold Power supply of 650 Watts. Possible 6 Samsung EVO SSD drives can fit with VELCRO and 1 5.25 regular WD Black. Everything fits except choose from 5.25 bay for internal Blu Ray or SD drive and fan/temperature display. One can get LG, the best in Blu Ray external use.

Cons: Computer is too good looking, 2nd to my life of love as protecting individuals with designing more lovely things in projects hours for goodness. Not yet machine super computer of ID perpetrators vandalism on vehicles and regions. Promotes buying left overs? JJ. I would not want to make female model robots, but in the future timeline might come back from the future to saving our loved ones and/or exist in another planets with less extremities to consuming less food.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is a trustworthy site, providing products that are not damaged making sure manufactures to be perfect and good prices. Has information of products that is helpful. Overall helps finding products that does work in my experience of 25 years. Not really needing getting an A++ degree.

Include handle from hardware store to carry transportable ITX computer much like a laptop.
Good use for CATIA and computer programming. Video card use M4000, capable of 4 display ports of 4K displays. I'd get the CPU running before getting all the parts together.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Build Quality, lacking in performance.

Pros: Looks great
Easy to install
Low height
Very quiet (at idle)

Cons: Temps are worse than expect (maybe my expectations were too high)

Other Thoughts: I am using this on a 3570k inside a Node 202 (GELID 15mm fan). At a mere 3.8ghz this thing is in the 90s after only 30 seconds of prime95 (I know this is not made for overclocking, I just figured a few mhz bump shouldn't change temp much...). I am also using Arctic Silver 5. I just expected a little better performance out of this thing. For those people thinking that it is because I use a Node 202, I am pulling fresh air from directly on top of the CPU cooler so it's not getting hot recirculated air.

According to Core Temp, at load I am only using 78-80 watts. This cooler is made to dissipate a lot more wattage than I am using so again, I shouldn't be having this issue. Volts are barely more than stock too...Oh well...

2 out of 5 eggsCheck your clearances.

Pros: Looks good, would have fit well within my Low-Profile HTPC case.

Cons: The edge that should have sat just over or next to the memory on the MB was 1/16" to wide or 1/8" to low. Even with RAM without a heat spreader it wouldn't have fit cleanly. MB: GIGABYTE GA-F2A88XN-WIFI

Aside from that one glaring defect I'm sure it would have worked great for my purposes.

5 out of 5 eggsA good Low Profile Heatsink

Pros: -About 1.5 inches or so of spare room fitting underneath the PSU inside the Cooler Master Elite Case
-Cool very well in which it remain under 60C playing Tomb Raider (All high setting running FXAA paired with R7 370 Msi) and Dirt Rally (Highest Setting AA with Medium to High quality) while remaining quiet at 1080p.
-Unique Heat sink design and it fit on A68HI AC MSI motherboard no problem with a plus of blowing air toward the mother board

Cons: -Not enough Thermal compound paste to cover the A10 7850k CPU and have to get a spare that I had laying around to completely cover it
-The metal string that hold the fan down is very flexible yet can hold down the fan good, but it can get disconnected if knock side way. When I place the metal string to where it hold it down the middle of the string expanded out a little

Other Thoughts: I would suggest the company to have some sort of clips or locks just to be absolutely sure the fan will not be knock off side way.

Get some extra Thermal compound paste ready if small amount isn't in your liking on your Cpu. Also small screwdriver is also needed to install the heat sink on the mother board in which I recommended to do that first before placing inside the Case.

1 out of 5 eggsDispleased.

Pros: None really. Was suppodes to be good for ITX builds, not in my case.

Cons: I bought this cooler based on the high reviews for Mini-ITX builds. Turns out this cooler is complete garbage imo.

1. The cooler covers almost my entire board, covering all the fan pins and is touching my gskill ripjaws ram. It literally is pushing my ram modules slightly to the side, I turned the heatsink a few times to get it so it wouldn't sit on the ram and completely squash them.

2. My temperatures are all over the place. I am using it with an A10-7850k, and temps go from 45-60 in a matter of seconds (ON IDLE!) I re-seated the cooler TWICE and placed a perfect amount of thermal grease (Pea-sized). I even tried a static pressure fan. No improvement whatsoever.

Already tore apart the box, so no way I can return it anyways.

I wouldn't recommend this cooler to anyone. Bought this product with high hopes based on good overall reviews, only to be let down. My stock AMD aluminum junk-cooler did better than this thing.

Other Thoughts: Deepcool makes good PC cases, but should stay away from coolers.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent ITX cooler

Pros: I was very impressed with how well this cooler worked, and how quiet it was. Would recommend.

Cons: Mine had a minor defect. One of the Stand-offs for mounting wasn't threaded, so I had to use just two of them diagonally to mount it.

Other Thoughts: Even though one of the stand-offs was defective, it still worked very well regardless.

Also, the box was a pain to open, but that's not really a con, haha.

4 out of 5 eggsNeeds work, but overall a good HTPC Cooler

Pros: - Keeps CPU cooler than the stock cooler
- You can hear the fan at full speed, but overall quiet
- Nice heatsink design that gives greater mother compatibility by just positioning it different ways. Because of this, it didn't cover any of my ram slots

Cons: - A little bit tricky to install
- The mounting screws weren't long enough when using the supplied washers

Other Thoughts: I'm using this to cool an Intel 3770 in a tight case, and so far it's doing the job. Idles around 37C, max load at around 60C. Although you can hear the fan at full load, it's not super loud, and normally I can't hear the fan at all.

The biggest problem I had was that when using the washers provided to me, the screws weren't long enough to connect to the heatsink. I tried not using the washers, but then my computer would turn on and off on it's own, which is very weird, and scared me. I removed the heatsink, and instead I cut small pieces of electrical tape and put holes through the middle and used it instead of the washers. A stupid solution, but it works fine. I'm not sure if my motherboard is thicker than most, but it seems Deepcool needs to re-think that part of their design. Because of this I was going to give it 3 eggs, but because of it's performance, and the fact that I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue, I gave it a 4

5 out of 5 eggsSilent and Awesome

Pros: Big fan that runs quiet but throws a lot of air. It even blows on the memory. Very nice packaging! You even get a sticker to place on your case.

Cons: Mounting can be tricky, but not horrible. You'll need access to the back of the board or else remove it.

Other Thoughts: This replaces a Noctua L9i, which developed a nasty fan grinding noise. I'm very happy with the improved noislessness and lower CPU temps.

2 out of 5 eggsNot too impressed

Pros: Nice packaging, fits itx form factor

Cons: Fins bend/break extremely easily, mounting system involves holding the motherboard vertical while simultaneously inserting screws from the bottom and holding heatsink against the board with fresh application of thermal paste, so it ends up sliding around a lot and easily making a mess.

The biggest con is the clips for the fans. Not only are they cheap garbage, but you're stuck with the stock fan unless you can find one just as thin elsewhere. Noctua fans are a no go which is disappointing. Any 120mm cpu cooler should universally be able to mount any 120mm fan imo.

Other Thoughts: The fan clips are the achilles heal of this otherwise average cooler, the price is good but I wouldn't buy it again even for $30.
