One’s desktop system is an investment, worthy of exceptional protection from the searing heat of intense use. For cost-conscious shoppers and PC enthusiasts who want maximum bang for the buck, you’ll definitely need to make the Dynatron DB1206SP part of your cooling solution.

The sleeve-bearing fan safely ushers harmful thermal energy far away from your PC’s sensitive components, at a rate of 10-15 CFM (cubic feet per minute) during peak performance. This Dynatron is a cinch to install, and runs quietly, with a maximum noise level of only 28dBA generated at 2800 RPMs ± 10%.

This practical cooling fan is PCI-slot compatible, and adds a smart finishing touch to your desktop. Not only will it keep your system temps way down, but will help prevent dust and other particulate matter from settling and building up inside your PC. Whether you’re arming one system or several workstations, ensure you equip them with this Dynatron System Exhaust Blower for solid protection at a superior value.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Does what it claims. Not very loud, can't even tell its there with a stock cpu fan in place.

Cons: If your running silent, I could see why you might look for something else. But honestly, unless you have your case sitting right next to you at eye level you wont be able to hear it if its seated properly.

4 out of 5 eggsGlad it only cost 7.49

Pros: It has lasted for more than a year, but when I went to adjust it because it was loose it came out of the slot without the extender plate.

Cons: Construction could have been better, but that's why it only cost $7.49!

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality

Pros: They spin - sometimes...

Cons: Noisy, poor quality

Other Thoughts: Purchased two of these, several years ago. One was so noisy after just a couple of months, I took it out. The second one was still in use until today. I've had the computer with this fan in a sever room, and so the noise wasn't an issue, but I am repurposing this computer and there is NO WAY I can tolerate that noise with the computer in the same room that I will be in.

With that said, the noise SORT of goes away after the system warms up (but I haven't checked if this is because the device has stopped spinning. ;)

Anyway, I would stay away from these. One died, and the other is intolerable.

I'm posting this review as I am searching for a replacement for this fan.

Also, since it has been several years, perhaps they've improved the quality of these... I'm not going to repurchase these, either way, however.

5 out of 5 eggsStill running strong

Pros: -generates tons of airflow out the back of the case
-helps circulate cooler air around my video card

Cons: none really

Other Thoughts: I've had this same slot cooler for several years now, and even used it on multiple builds. Shows no signs of dying anytime soon.

3 out of 5 eggsNot bad, but not great

Pros: Moves a good amount of air. Great to install next to a PCI card with passive cooling.

Cons: Metal PCI slot cover clips onto plastic housing - the housing twaeks sometimes and causes fan to rub - loudly. Knob adjusts speed only, no ability to shut it off.

Other Thoughts: I installed my in the bottom PCI slot and used a foam block to help support it and it works fine. But if installed anywhere else without additional support it would tweak/rub/grind after a few minutes of use.

2 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: It works...

Cons: Initially this product worked very well. After a week or so however, the noise it was producing was not acceptable. I performed a rough test to see how much it affected my GPU temps and it was negligible. I gave it to a friend who needed it more than I did and was willing to listen to this thing hum.

3 out of 5 eggsCool but loud

Pros: Really cool down my hard drive. I took out the metal part and put is on top of my hard drive. My hard drive is not warm at all.

Cons: Too loud, noisy as hell.

Other Thoughts: It will get 5 stars from me if the noise level is 3 times lower.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fans like these are great options for placement beneath hot video cards. They exhaust heat off of the exposed part of the video cards heat pipes which allows the video cards fan to work more efficiently.

Cons: none I see

Other Thoughts: all fans add noise :(
