Cons: Noisy, poor quality Other Thoughts: Purchased two of these, several years ago. One was so noisy after just a couple of months, I took it out. The second one was still in use until today. I've had the computer with this fan in a sever room, and so the noise wasn't an issue, but I am repurposing this computer and there is NO WAY I can tolerate that noise with the computer in the same room that I will be in. With that said, the noise SORT of goes away after the system warms up (but I haven't checked if this is because the device has stopped spinning. ;) Anyway, I would stay away from these. One died, and the other is intolerable. I'm posting this review as I am searching for a replacement for this fan. Also, since it has been several years, perhaps they've improved the quality of these... I'm not going to repurchase these, either way, however. Did you find this review helpful? Dave 4/24/2011 5:31:44 PM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 4/5	Rating: 3/5Not bad, but not great Pros: Moves a good amount of air. Great to install next to a PCI card with passive cooling. Cons: Metal PCI slot cover clips onto plastic housing - the housing twaeks sometimes and causes fan to rub - loudly. Knob adjusts speed only, no ability to shut it off. Other Thoughts: I installed my in the bottom PCI slot and used a foam block to help support it and it works fine. After a week or so however, the noise it was producing was not acceptable. I performed a rough test to see how much it affected my GPU temps and it was negligible. They exhaust heat off of the exposed part of the video cards heat pipes which allows the video cards fan to work more efficiently. It is very effective in moving the heat it generates out because of that. Cons: None really, It's a little loud the first few seconds of startup, but that may just be my case fan, I still can't tell. You could feel a lot of warm air coming out from behind mi case. It was quite quiet for about a month until... Cons: It started to make a really anoying noise, it was like an airplane turbine. So I didn't have another option but take it out of my case. It has a very poor quality fan I guess... Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for...It's made from cheap plastic material...
