2 out of 5 eggsThese are terrible

Pros: They sound pretty good i guess. They can get really loud without distorting, until...

Cons: When I plug headphones in they suddenly get real bad overdrive distortion on the right channel until I unplug the speakers from my sound card and plug them back in. I've done this on two separate sound cards (Sound Blaster Z and my Motherboard's on-board VIA HD Audio), so I know the sound card is not the issue. Also, it doesn't seem to be only the headphones jack that does this; I've also had this problem when using the front side Aux input. I hate these things and want a refund/replacement.

Other Thoughts: Use optical audio if you have the choice. I had TOSLINK going to my Denon, but I moved my Denon into my living room and needed new speakers. I was looking for optical stereo speakers but couldn't find any, so I went with these. Now I regret it.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Computer Speakers I've Ever Owned

Pros: I knew I'd fall in love with these speakers the second I go them out of the box. They were bigger than I expected and the power adapter looks very much like a laptop's. So, no wall wort and really good sound.

Setup was what you'd expect. Speakers sound great. Overall, super happy with my purchase

Cons: If I were to quibble with it, it'd be that they we're somewhat expensive and are a bit too tall. I have them behind my monitors that are on an arm and and about 4 inches of them are covered by the monitors. Not a huge issue and didn't impact sound at all.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent 2.0 Speakers!!!

Pros: I bought these to use with my laptop computer. They provide full crisp sound. They fill my entire apartment and I have not turned them past 50% due to bothering the neighbors. The speakers seem well made and are beautiful to look at.

Cons: None

2 out of 5 eggsSpeakers with Problems.

Pros: Good sound quality. Easy to setup.

Cons: After owning them for about six months I started noticing a creeping static sound. I have isolated the lines and still the sound progressed. As of today they have decided that all they will do is emit a loud static along with any sound. Warranty on them is lack luster.

5 out of 5 eggsThe trumpets from Heaven comes out of these!

Pros: The beauty, the shine, the pristine look of these is beautiful beyond belief! The speakers, they called to me. Begging me to put them together with such ease. The sound , oh the sound. It's so sublime. I cried tears of joy as my ears listened to the most alluring sounds I've ever heard.

Cons: Putting a cons section for these speakers is blasphemy!

Other Thoughts: You absolutely will not regret getting this product. I luckily bought this while it was $80 off! Even if it was full price , It is still worth every penny. Definitely get what you pay for.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Speakers

Pros: Sound quality is very good, pleasant design, build quality is excellent. At only $69.99, well worth the investment.

Cons: None worth mentioning.

Other Thoughts: Price to performance ratio is great (at 69.99). If u have decent audio manager software, I would use it to set the EQ to your liking rather than using the Bass/Treble on the speakers.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: These really exceeded my expectations. Based on the pictures I thought these were going to be on the smaller side, but they're surprisingly large and heavy. The sound is really clear mated with my Sound Blaster Z.

Cons: none

3 out of 5 eggsWorth $69.99

Pros: Sleek looks
Acceptable highs

Cons: Muffled sound
Too expensive when not on sale (for the performance you get)
Poor lows

Other Thoughts: I bought these on sale as my new work speakers. Compared to something like Swan M10s and Klipsch Promedia 2.1s these have the advantage of smaller form factor. If space is not an issue get the alternative, as they will blow these away in performance. The Swans outshine these in every category, especially clarity and high/mids. The Promedias does the same but offers more for the money for bass heads.

I thought the highs on these were exaggerated a bit but decent sounding. Mids are acceptable. Lows are so poor/unnatural I'd rather just leave the the knob turned all the way down.

I'm going to lend these to my sister so she can blast em for a few days for the break in. I rather not fatigue my own ears.

5 out of 5 eggsThese update T40's are even better!

Pros: I have a 5+ year old set of Creative T40 Gigaworks speakers purchased from Newegg which have performed perfectly to this day. When my son's hand me down pc finally died (Asus P6T motherboard finally picked up an annoying quirk of trashing it's o/s) and thru a process of swapping out parts we determined the old set of vintage Pentium 4 speakers would not output listenable sounds. Decided to spend the extra bucks to a identical set of Creative T40's. Newest set of T40's which power down automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity on the speakers. Nicest feature I have seen yet from Creative. More importantly you can easily hook the T40's to home TV's in minutes. Small footprint makes these non 2.1 speakers easy to hide behind a tv or flat panel pc display. Did I mention the sound is the best out there? Item was stocked across the river at Newegg's NJ warehouse so I know delivery would also be completed in under 24 hours...yay!

Cons: Newegg once again provides free shipping however it's "egg saver" versus standard UPS delivery. I hate egg-saver delivery simply because it takes over a week for delivery and this is a order coming just across the Hudson river in NJ. Broke my heart paying the extra $3 just to get UPS delivery versus egg-saver delivery....needed them in a hurry this time otherwise I would relent on egg-saver free delivery.

Other Thoughts: Prices for T40's have stayed relatively constant these last 5-7 years. Paid roughly $120 for the first set and just paid $114 for this new set of T40's

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth it

Pros: They look cool without the covers?

Cons: They sound muffled
They're kind of big
They SUCK at passing through audio to headphones

Other Thoughts: I got these on sale because I wanted new computer speakers and since the reviews were consistently pretty high, I thought they'd be good. Boy, was I wrong. These are worse than the 10 year old Logitech 2.1 system they replaced.

They sound muffled at any volume and what's worse: they muffle the audio pass-through to the headphones!
