Pros: - Pure USB connection makes this the easiest speaker setup around. - No drivers were required (Vista, 7, Xubuntu). I didn't try XP.
Cons: - Not the best output quality (nearly no bass), but I didn't expect it to be awesome. - The volume buttons did not work with Windows 7.
Other Thoughts: For the price, this is a easiest audio solution around. It beats multiple cords, and an AC adapter. Also the sound quality is better than most small speakers I have heard.

Great Speakers / Sound / Can't use headphones

Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: less than 1 day
Pros: These USB speakers fit wonderfully on any desktop, making good use of low power consumption and digital sound.
Cons: No headset support in conflict with my current sound/onboard sound card. to be more precise, my SoundMax system must be disabled for the USB Audio configuration. While I do not mind this setting (USB Audio) I only wish that the two settings could co-exist.
For the first setup, I had to reboot my PC before sound came crisp and clear from both speakers. But, I had my headset plugged in and all my sound at the time came through my headset instead of the speakers.
Bugger i thought.
So, after some twiddling with the USB I got sound from the speakers but nothing through the headset. Hmm. So, there it is. I did order these puppies from Walmart.com and there is actually a set of speakers similar in 2.1watt that plug into the wall for 10 dollars. I wish I could've jumped on that deal.
Other Thoughts: Logitech should invest some more time into a driver compilation for these speakers. Some way to allow the audio through both the speakers and the headset.
In the way these speakers work, its like turning off a USB drive every time a USB hard drive is plugged in or shutting down one of your SATA drives when a USB external drive is plugged in.
No matter my complaints, these are small, low profile speakers that give me enough sound and control that I need and want. There is volume control on the face of the speakers but i can control volume through my MK300 courtesy of Logitech also.
In a way, these are great speakers, just choose which you want to use for the day and be happy.

Great basic speakers

Pros: If you're looking for sub-$20 speakers, this is a great choice for basic desktop needs. Uses a single USB connector for audio and power, very convenient. Audio sounds good for what they are. Push-button volume controls integrate with software mixer: simplifies the "which-volume-is-set-low?" game.
Cons: Weak bass, no headphone port. Ugly DIGITAL glowing logo on front of R speaker. (Easily covered with electrical tape.)
Other Thoughts: Perfect support in Linux, immediate automatic dectection. (Ubuntu 9.10) Software volume control integrates perfectly with mixer in Linux and Windows.
