Seriosuly- avoid this.
- Pros: I like the innovative take in a space-saving design. And they look cool. Rubber feet won't mar surfaces.
- Cons: They sound dreadful. I mean *Dreadful* I mean muddy, Muddy, MUDDY from the hazy, not-too-crisp top to the Middle. There *is* no bottom. The Audiohub doesn't have bass so much as... mud. Audition them before you buy. After months of using an older system, I put this in at my work station, and even from across the room, my co-worker thought they sounded like junkl. I thought so too, from right in front of them.
- Other Thoughts: The USB hubs come in handy. Was my first USB-Audio product, and I like he ease of use in Windows; it replaces your soundcard, so if your PC doesn't have one, or has a very poor one, try USB.Couldn't make them work in two Ubuntu-based Linux PC's though, and I don't consider myself a Linux Noob. No Linux drivers offered at Logitech website.
Inconsistant Volume
- Pros: Two cords till you can use it. power and usb. comes with easy to understand instructions. usb hub can be useful. good sound quality.
- Cons: The sound levels are inconsistant between DVDs and MP4s. I don't know why, but sometimes it is so quiet that at full volume it would be hard to hear if your were in your bathroom at home, and other times it is loud (and clear) enough to fill an auditorium.
- Other Thoughts: Produces good sound quality as is expected with logitech, but the usb digital sound is apparently not yet reliable.
Looks nice but you should think twice
- Pros: -Great all in one desigen and i find the USB hub a nice addition although it does have draw backs.
-The power/volume knob is functional and easy to use -Sound quality is satisfactory
- Cons: -No line in, so computer is require to play mp3s through the speakers.
- Usb hub is on the back and relatively hard to access -Cloth that is covering the speakers is a dust magnet and isnt the easiest thing to clean - The connection to the computer is USB and when it is plugged in the head phone jack will not work so you cant use them in conjunction with another set of speakers. -You have to unplug them to use headphones which is especially annoying if you have other things plugged into the USB hub.
- Other Thoughts: The list price is ridiculously high on this unit. I had my friend Mr. Jackson get me one. Unless you are getting a good deal dont bother.
