5 out of 5 eggsAffordable speakers that work pretty good

Pros: Affordable, durable; these have survived 3-4 years and 3 apartment moves for me. Still work great. Sound quality; I'm no audiophile but these speakers were able to bring the volume and sound quality up when compared to my laptop's built in factory speakers.

Cons: Annoying LED. Distortion at high volumes, but I got what I paid for.

Other Thoughts: If you're on a laptop and you need more sound horsepower, these are a great buy. I've just started using these on my first gaming rig as well.

4 out of 5 eggsUsing for TV

Pros: Unobtrusive little speakers
Frequency response has no major midrange resonance (which often sounds like the speakers are in a cardboard box)
Small woofer box gives reasonable bass for size/cost

Cons: Annoying blue LED + electrical tape = fixed!
Woofer amplifier clips at relatively low volume (one reviewer thought the woofer was rattling, but he's hearing the amplifier clipping)
Woofer box produces midrange as well as bass

Other Thoughts: These are excellent speakers if used for the right purpose.

I am using these with a modern thin LED TV which has terrible speakers. These speakers make an excellent fix at a low price. No need for yet another remote in the system for sound. Just plug these in and leave them on.

I used an audio spectrum analyzer and set up the internal EQ on the TV to get a reasonably flat response.

The woofer box must be placed at center of system as it produces much of the low midrange as well, and those frequencies are somewhat directional.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Satellite Speakers, Not so great Sub-woofer.

Pros: Mid level sounds on the two satellite speakers are quite impressive for such small and inexpensive speakers. For around 20 bucks the sound is quite "full".
Easy Set up.
Price Point.

Cons: Like many have mentioned....the Sub-woofer is the obvious flaw. While not terrible for quiet music, playing normal to loud music causes the Subwoofer to sound "Hollow" and distorted during portions of songs. If you are looking for "crisp deep bass" sound, this Sub-woofer won't impress you.

Other Thoughts: I just needed a set of average decent setup for an old computer that I restored. It is much better than the old dinky speakers I had before. It is worth the 20 bucks for an average setup in a small room. For throwing the word average around so much, I give the product three stars. You get what you pay for.

3 out of 5 eggsShould have read the reviews more thoroughly before purchasing.

Pros: You get what you paid for. Crisp sound through the speakers. Depends on the type of sound card you have installed on your pc as well.

Cons: The sub is hilarious. I had to set it on top of a box or my neighbors would have heard the terrible rattling coming from that thing. I disconnected the sub and it was just funny. I will be returning this within the next week or so. You get what you paid for as I mentioned already.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: The stereo speakers work and perform as they should, no problems with those.

Cons: The "sub-woofer" is a tiny 3 inch piece of trash. It distorts so easily it's ridiculous. When i first got it, I installed it all nicely and was exited, opened iTunes, started playing music, and it sounded like a tin can was being rattled around inside the "sub-woofer" box. I took the "sub" out to see what was the matter, the magnet wasn't even placed on the speaker straight, it was offset.

Other Thoughts: I then took this garbage speaker out, enlarge the hole and replaced it with a brand new 5.25" car speaker, 30 watts rms. And it STILL distorted like no other, so tell me, why is MAYBE 4 watts of power distorting a speaker rated for over 6 times that? because the sub amp isn't even in the box, its in the speaker... No wonder it sounds like garbage.
All in all, COMPLETE FAILURE! don't waste your time, there is no bass, this is not a 2.1 system.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat speakers

Pros: Had these speakers years ago for a long time. Good speakers, great subwoofer. I lost them moving. I am thinking of getting the Cyber Acoustics CA3550RB 68 watts 2.1 Black Speakers or Cyber Acoustics CA-5402 40Watts 5.1

Cons: The sound distorts at the very highest volume. Its not the prettiest speakers out there but it has great sound

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great cheap speakers, loud enough for when I work out at home.

Cons: Sub doesnt sound the greatest but its not worth losing an Egg over, and its kind of expected.
Anyways these are great speakers and if you have a problem with a low-quality sub then spend more money!

Other Thoughts: Cheap and loud enough for me, sound quality is fine for my liking. Would purchase again if I ever needed more

5 out of 5 eggsSurprisingly good.

Pros: For how much I payed for these speakers, I'm very surprised by the quality of the audio they produce. These are definitely a great value if you just want a 2.1 speaker system and really hardly want to spend any money on it.

Cons: Not the best mid-range/high-range. It's pretty obvious there's no tweeters on these things, so the main speaker is a pretty blatant compromise. But seriously, are you paying for that kind of quality when you buy these things? No.

5 out of 5 eggsLoud, good sound.

Pros: Vary loud speakers, sub woofer works good, don't see anything wrong with it. Got them for Christmas.
Great for the price!

Cons: They feel and look cheap, but the sound makes up for it.

Other Thoughts: Only had them for 2 months and a half, not sure how long they will last.
