5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great microphone with high sound quality

Cons: Cord that comes with this microphone is really short (longer cords are cheap and easy to find though).

5 out of 5 eggsNice little mic with swivel

Pros: It comes with everything you need like the clip and wiring. I like the small size. I have it directly plugged into my desktop tower and it can hear me or anyone else in the room just fine.

Cons: Maybe it's only noise-cancelling with Olympus products because it picks up quite a bit of fan noise from my tower. This was to be expected, but I had my hopes high for some reason.

3 out of 5 eggsJust Okay

Pros: Price, small size.

Cons: Extremely quiet - needs to be boosted if you want anyone to hear you. At the same time, there is always a lot of white noise (despite the innate "noise cancellation") which needs to be reduced by software as well - this may be because of the way I use it. None of this is a problem if you know how to configure it, but even after plenty of tweaking I don't find the sound quality to be that great.

Other Thoughts: I use it as a desk mic by clipping it onto something. It's still close enough to work properly, but I don't have another wire on me.

To correct the quietness and white noise problems, just use settings found in Windows or your sound card's software interface. This is simpler than trying to do it per-application.

3 out of 5 eggsYou pay for what you get

Pros: Clarity at close range and form factor of product.

Cons: Poor performance as a shotgun mic, picks up lots of ambient noise when input volume and liberal mic boost is used.

Other Thoughts: Bottom line, this should only be used as a lapel mic with a decent transmitter OR as intended with an Olympus recorder. PER THE INSTRUCTIONS, you will only get the most out of this mic with an Olympus recorder.

A decent headset or low level microphone SLAMS this out of the park.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: clean and clear sound at a high quality. Works great with my camera.

Cons: It takes some setting up - it is too soft and muted right out of the box. Also the cord is super short.

3 out of 5 eggsOnly OK

Pros: Can leave plugged directly into the slot and comes with a cord and clip. Works with windows speech recognition.

Cons: It does cancel out surrounding noises somewhat, but for best results, you must keep it very close to your mouth and therefor must be clipped to you.

Other Thoughts: I would just go with a headset considering it must be mostly clipped to you.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: I use this for TS in Arma 3, and it doesn't pick up any background noise. Clear, no distortion, break away clip, and small size. Detachable from cord, see cons.

Cons: Shortish cord, easily fixed by getting a longer cord since it detaches.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Clear quality, unobtrusive design.

Cons: "Noise-Cancellation" means I have to have the input boost all the way up to max and the mic within inches of my mouth to get a decent volume.

Other Thoughts: The wind screen it comes with is like a stretched out sock that slides off every time you tilt the mic a bit.
If you really need in on you could fasten or adhere it somehow, not important to me.
It's a mono mic, so if you want to game and have your voice come out of two speakers you'll need to check if your voip client does that or use an audio relay that converts to stereo in real time (I use virtual audio cable).

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little microphone

Pros: Went great with a pair of headphones I have since I did not want anything in my face. Is also useful for camera mic when needed although another cord is needed(see con). Overall it blocks out noise great and is low priced for what you get.

Cons: The audio cable that it came with is short but I bought a longer one at my local music store so not really a con since they do say the length of the cord in the product description.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Microphone!

Pros: Small easy to carry around, can be used for a tower pc or plug right into the side of your laptop for a better mic then your stock mic. Good price after shipping I had 22 bucks into it. This is a great mic if you have a awesome pair of headphones and dont want to sacrifice it for a lame headset mic combo.

Cons: Iv been told that I get a little feed back when I use ventrillo on this mic, but Im using a stock sound card and the firmware may be out of date

Other Thoughts: I bought this as a combo with my sony mdr-xb500 headphones
