Cons: Does NOT come with AC Adapter required to use the firewire 1394b......wth? Other Thoughts: Should have a note saying requires this because I purchased this for a friend so he could use firewire 800 for his external harddrive, but needs the power adapter nn-ada011-s1 it's the size of an older nokia charging port and needs 12v and 1A of power just fyi. Plugged it in the G4 powerbook and work right away. As for as the PC... Cons: Doesn't work in the PC. The card is recognized but doesn't allow the devices plugged into to be seen. I've been through tech support on SIIG's site--no help there! Its seems Windows has no driver support for Firewire and this device. SIIG has worthless drivers they cause other issues with my computer--like freezing. I been all over the web trying other drivers and nothing has helped. If you read the reviews on version 1 of this card you will see the same issues--this one is version 2. Do some research on this and you will see I'm not the only one with issues!!
