It instantly adds two FireWire 800 (1394b) and one FireWire 400 (1394a) ports for multiple device connections. This card delivers data transfer rates of up to 800Mb/s, and allows you to hot-swap devices (connect and disconnect) without first turning your system off. It works seamlessly with a variety of FireWire (1394a & 1394b) devices such as DV camcorders, hard disk drive enclosures, digital cameras, scanners, CD-RW/DVD drives, video game systems, and other audio/video devices.
