1 out of 5 eggsUseless piece of garbage

This review is from: CyberPower Intelligent LCD Series CP600LCD 600VA 340W 4 x 5-15R Battery/Surge Protected 4 x 5-15R Surge Protected Outlets UPS

Pros: None that other brands cannot provide

Cons: Every time I even think about playing a game, the increased power usage when running my computer registers as a power surge to this thing and completely shuts everything off. This thing is garbage... I sorely regret buying this

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for your review on the CyberPower CP600LCD. This model is an entry level UPS with a maximum capacity of 340 watts - the equivalent of an entry level PC and monitor. It's possible you may have overloaded the unit. If you are connecting anything higher than 340 watts, such as a "gaming PC", the UPS will be overloaded and will alert you to the overload and shut down. CyberPower does offer an industry leading 3-Year Warranty on all of our UPS products, which is backed by our U.S., based Technical Support. Please contact us at 877-297-6937 M-F 8-5 CST, or priority1@CPSww.com, so that we can trouble shot the problem you are having and provide a solution.

Additional the CyberPower web site has a "UPS Sizing Tool" which will help guide you to the correct models that fit your needs - www.cpsww.com. We would recommend you consider one of our higher VA models which will accommodate a higher wattage and provide greater backup time. The CyberPower web site has a "UPS Selector Guide" which will help guide you to the correct models that match your needs - www.cpsww.com. The CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD will fit your requirements well. Thank you, Cyber Power Systems

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

This review is from: CyberPower Intelligent LCD Series CP600LCD 600VA 340W 4 x 5-15R Battery/Surge Protected 4 x 5-15R Surge Protected Outlets UPS

Pros: Charge lasts, accompanying software works

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Every time the power has gone out (which is anywhere from 2-5 times per week) this thing has kicked in and worked flawlessly. LED display is great. I could not be happier.

Charge lasts longer than the specifications indicate. It runs this for 23 minutes on battery:

1 x Corsair Carbide Series 400R Graphite grey and black ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case (3 internal fans)
1 x SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified

1 x Kingston HyperX 3K SH103S3/120G 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
2 x Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS 1TB
1 x Western Digital WD Black WD1002FAEX 1TB
1 x Western Digital WD Black WD1001FALS 1TB

1 x ICY DOCK Blizzard MB080U3S-1SB
1 x Western Digital WD Black WD2002FAEX 2TB
1 x 24 inch monitor

5 out of 5 eggsDoes its job well

This review is from: CyberPower Intelligent LCD Series CP600LCD 600VA 340W 4 x 5-15R Battery/Surge Protected 4 x 5-15R Surge Protected Outlets UPS

Pros: The monitoring software included is nice and lightweight, not a bulky piece of bloatware. All I really can think of to say is that it does what it says and does a really good job.

Cons: None that I can think of.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes the job, does it well.

This review is from: CyberPower Intelligent LCD Series CP600LCD 600VA 340W 4 x 5-15R Battery/Surge Protected 4 x 5-15R Surge Protected Outlets UPS

Pros: One year out, and it still works as it should. I test it every so often with my ESXi 5.1 VM, and my various switches, and routers, and such, and it performs a clean shutdown every single time... with runtime to spare. This UPS runs at a constant 40-55% load.

Cons: However useful and functional the UPS may be, it's always let down by the software. Especially the terrible UI. Business, Personal, or VM appliance version. Doesn't matter.

Other Thoughts: It's a good buy for the price. Still have to spend a bit more money for something more feature-filled and robust, but for a-step-above-normal-home-use, it works.

1 out of 5 eggsKeep searching

This review is from: CyberPower Intelligent LCD Series CP600LCD 600VA 340W 4 x 5-15R Battery/Surge Protected 4 x 5-15R Surge Protected Outlets UPS

Pros: Lovely layout & features for connecting to a pc to have constant on-screen displayed info or more details when accessing an application that comes with the product.

Cons: Didn't do a thing to protect my system. We had an ice storm recently and the power cut out twice. The UPS was on at the time but my pc was turned off & still connected to a battery/surge outlet. The power went out overnight and when the morning came I noticed the UPS was off and would not turn back on. The surge-only outlets still provide power but the unit is fried. I checked to see if my computer was affected and it was. It failed to protect my $2000 machine from damage. It's PSU has been fried as well with who knows what else also being affected internally. To make matters worse their support is terrible. Simple a waste of money, purchase an APC or don't buy one at all.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on CyberPower's CP600LCD. We have sold many of these units without issues such as yours. CyberPower has an industry leading 3-Year Warranty on all of our UPS products, which includes the battery. This particular model also offers further protection with a $175,000 Connected Equipment Guarantee.

We would like to examine the unit that was damaged and resolve the matter. Please contact us at your earliest convenience. We do sincerely apologize for any negative experience you have had involving this specific UPS unit. We are dedicated to ensuring every customer experiences 110% satisfaction. Kindly contact the Customer Support team at 877-297-6937, or priority1@CPSww.com, Monday thru Friday, 8 am to 5 pm (CST), so that we can immediately act to completely address your issue and ensure your total satisfaction.

3 out of 5 eggsSine wave in highlights got me

This review is from: CyberPower Intelligent LCD Series CP600LCD 600VA 340W 4 x 5-15R Battery/Surge Protected 4 x 5-15R Surge Protected Outlets UPS

Pros: Will trust it to keep things other than my PC up.

Cons: This is not Active PFC compatible. If you have an Active PFC PSU like many of the CORSAIR series, your computer will reboot if it receives a power spike or voltage drop. (confirmed by support)
Have to buy a pure sine wave UPS now......

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for your review and comments. You are correct that systems using a power supply with Active PFC (including ENERGY STAR 5.0 systems) may experience issues with a non-sine wave UPS. As a result, CyberPower introduced the PFC Sinewave UPS series to address these issues. These models offer pure sine wave and are the most cost effective UPS solution for systems using power supplies with Active PFC. Take a look at CyberPower models CP850PFCLCD or CP1500PFCLCD. Newegg and the CyberPower web site (cpsww.com) offer a CyberPower UPS Selector Guide which will help guide you to the correct models that match your needs.
