5 out of 5 eggsBig fan

Pros: It works well, it's popular, well supported, it's got better games, and the controller is MUCH better than the PS3's, which is a big thing for me, I don't want my thumbs to touch when I'm using the analog sticks. The RROD issue has been resolved, from what I understand, since mid 2007, so people can't bash it anymore.

Cons: Fear of the RROD anyway, could have Wireless, internet browser, and some other features that I saw on the PS3.

Other Thoughts: Really a worthy buy, it's a popular system, with plenty of people to play online with, numbers reach almost 3/4 million on Friday nights. I hope people will stop bashing it.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Excellent buy. Has built-HDMI port which is great!

Cons: Only con is the question of how long it will last until the "Red ring of death" happens. Hopefully MS has resolved this matter.

Other Thoughts: Xbox 360 is nice for internet gaming but PS3 will beat it because their service is free and it has a Blu-Ray player.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Great system. Good reliable service. Shipped quick. Good deal. Forza 2 is a great game.

Cons: System a little noisy. Gets too heated, need to put it on top of a stand in the open. Ultimate Alliance that comes free with the system is not too fun. Maybe for some younguns, I've played it once for about 4 minutes and thats it.

Other Thoughts: Great Service

5 out of 5 eggsan ideal system

Pros: HDMI, backwards compatibility, clean looking, awesome graphics, very fast, live is awesome, multi-screening capabilities, great games, and the most user friendly interface ever, intuitive if you ask me.

Cons: wish all panels were interchangeable but oh well, i love white anyways. and oh yeah, microsoft came out with something incredible and everyone gives them hell for it

Other Thoughts: RED RINGS OF DEATH FOR DUMMIES : check your power supply, remove it immediately, then use a friends power brick or buy another. in a normal case its a dead PSU. not too long ago my friend got the Red Rings of Death. he swapped his PSU for his friends PSU and BAM! problem solved, the 360 started up and ran normal. overheating doesnt seem to be an issue on all models from august 2007. mine runs cold rather,

5 out of 5 eggsGood System

Pros: great system.never had any probelms with it and have had it for about 11 1/2 months..comes with the new HDMI input which works great on a big plasma screen TV...also comes with a microphone so you can get started with your free 1 month gold membership without having to go out and spend $20 on a mic yourself

Cons: Ultimate aliance is that great of a game unless your a person who follows that kind of stuff like xmen and all that. but forza 2 is awesome ! dont buy XBL from your console because it saves your CC number to your hardrive and the only way to get it off is to call Xbox up and ask them to take it off ( 2 month process ) or delete your gamertag and get a new one....

Other Thoughts: people say that their 360's keep gettin the red rings or overheating...thats just because you people dont know how to use cant have them on a carpet and have to put them on a hard piece of plastic or something that doesnt collect dust and every other material in the world...also just give what your 360 is standing on, a little dust once and a while and your set and keep the fan/cooler open space so it doesnt overheat, and if for longevity, use a little house fan and cool down the side of the 360....Also, 360's are more functional, less noisy and don't break as often or much if its on all four as apposed to standing up

2 out of 5 eggsNot Satisfied

Pros: It is a 360, the shipping was fast, and it comes with 2 "free" games.

Cons: The Xbox packaging had been opened, either by the force of being dropped or from someone who previously received it. Also, the game case was shattered and pieces of transparent green plastic were rattling around inside the box. I paid the price for a new item, and that is what I expect to receive....not some pre-opened item. I am disappointed with newegg this time, but they came through. It is on it's way back to California, and I hope that the one I receive at least has a sealed box. I just was looking forward to playing some 360 but now I have to wait another week and a half. Just my luck.

Other Thoughts: I find the falcon chipset lottery somewhat upsetting. Since I am a curious person, I decided to check this xbox and see if it was a falcon. I mean, the box was already opened, why not? It wasn't a falcon. This upset me further, since it is now 2008 and has been months since they started production. Oh well, hopefully when I receive a NEW, unopened Xbox 360, it will be a Falcon. Not going to complain if it isn't though.

3 out of 5 eggsTo the 2 past reviews

Pros: Read Cons

Cons: On most Xbox 360's there is a metal magnetic ring on the disc drive reader, the only thing holding the ring down is some glue and after playing a while the inside of the 360 heats up and that magnet comes loose and hits the top of the case inside. If you use a flashlight and look inside the disc drive opening you'll see the ring is now attached to the top(or side) of the case. I used a knife to get it out and used some super glue to glue it back to where it was originally on the disc drive. Or if you dont want to void the warranty you can send it in to have it repaired or get a diff one every few weeks.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat software, Terrible hardware

Pros: Fair game library. Sleek online multiplayer.

Cons: Hardware. Odds are 3/10 that it will break in its first year of use. Completely unacceptable failure rate compared to industry standards. It uses a cheap DVD drive the scratches discs.
Its loud, and not just a little. I found it so loud that it way actually frustrating to use it.

Expensive add-ons. The proprietary hard drives are twice as much as they should cost. WiFi, rechargeable controllers, and an HD Optical drive should have been standard with the system. Sony did it and their console only costs about 50 bucks more and actually works.

Subscriptions. XBL is essentially a store. Why make people pay for it? And whats with the useless point system? If you wish to purchase something on XBL, you have to convert the price to find out how much it actually costs.

Other Thoughts: If you don't want a PS3, I would at least wait until they get decent version of the 360 made before going with Microsoft. Even the new "Elite" system has a 10% failure rating. Unacceptable.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it But what the ? Happend

Pros: Its a Great System !!!!!!!!!!! Love it

Cons: Disc drive starting making noise and stop reading games and everything else on my way to get a new one is not even been a month I got.

Other Thoughts: Love the system but a brand new system and this happends never had any problems with my playstation 2. What is wrong with Microsoft this makes them look bad.

3 out of 5 eggsJust Like I Dreaded

Pros: Once connected everything looked really nice, came with everything as expected.

Cons: The disc drive couldn't load any discs, returning either "unplayable disc" or looking like nothing was even inserted. Also, the container holding the games that come with this bundle had shattered in the mail.

Other Thoughts: Returned this to NewEgg, hoping to see a replacement for this next week. After calling Xbox, they're plan was shipping it in for repairs to the tune of a 5-week delay.

No thanks. Come on, Newegg!
