4 out of 5 eggsA good overall system bundle

Pros: The 60 gig Hard drive is nice. The older systems with the 20 gig is just never enough. The fact that it comes with a couple of games is always a bonus. The two games aren't anything to write home about, but if you have kids (which is who the system was purchased for) these are great family games that they can enjoy. Lego Indiana Jones lets the kids play 2 player, and Kung-Fu Panda is up to 4 players I think.

If you're an adult gamer, as am I, the 360 is the better choice when deciding between a Wii or PS3. All 3 systems offer great things in their own right, but the online LIVE subscription cannot be beat by Wii or PS3. Online gaming is smooth and connecting with friends is a breeze. Not to mention the ability to stream Netflix among other things.

The 360 also has better exclusive titles such as Gears of War (1 & 2), Halo among others.

Cons: With my current system, everything has been rock solid, but the xbox 360 is notorious for having system failures due to manufacturing flaws.

According to Microsoft, the more recent manufactured xbox consoles are much more stable and use a smaller processor which gives off less heat, causing less system failures (google "ring of light error" to see what I mean)

This is my 3rd 360 that I've gone through with the ring of light...this system is quieter and seems to give off less heat, so I'm hoping the failure days are over.

The problem is the LIVE service is so good and Microsoft is well aware of the issues and will continue to fix your console so long as you are in warranty.

Other Thoughts: Install games that you frequently play to the console's hard drive. Trust me, it is worth the 15 minute install time.

1. your games will load faster

2. the DVD drive in the system will not be spinning constantly, which helps the drive last longer and dissipates less heat within the system.

3. Your system will be much quieter.

1 out of 5 eggsNot Again

Pros: live! and few nice rpgs not on ps3.

Cons: i got 5 dead xbox 360 in the closet i dont evne know why i keep buying them. I have had every new revision they released even the newest jasper with 65nm redesign mobo and 150w ps which lasted only 2 months. I dont even play it that often.

Other Thoughts: got my ps3 since launch and swapped in a 360gb 7200rpm hdd and had no problems with it at all.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Xbox live is great......and that's about it

Cons: I have gone through 3 of these xbox's since I decided to get one. Two RROD's and one E74 error. MS made a very poor product with good software. The system is also EXTREMELY loud and sounds like a spaceship ready to take off when you play a game. Good luck finding a place for the power brick this thing comes with as well. Also these contain proprietary formatted hard drives which means you cannot simply replace it with a larger drive. Don't buy into Ms's constent promises of what new chipset, heat sink or whatever they promise will fix the never ending problems they have had with these things. Learn before you buy that these units are just flat out junk. If it wasn't for xbox live no one would even bother buying one of these. Also if you add up everything you need to add on to this to get what a PS3 gives you out of the box, you will spend easily over the $399 price of a pS3.

Other Thoughts: Do yourself a huge favor and buy yourself a Playstation 3. You can easily swap out the hdd with a larger non proprietary one, the graphics are better, the online gameplay is free ($50/year for xbox live), comes with a blue ray player and wireless built in.

Learn from my mistake, if I had to do it all over again I never would have waisted my time/money on the xbox 360.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT XBOX 360!!

Pros: It does everything that you expect it to and a little more

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Microsoft needs to work on upgrading so you dont have to carry the big power brick around everywhere and the CD drawer needs to be like the Ps3"s

3 out of 5 eggsOld system

Pros: Better bargain than the cheaper Arcade version. All you really need is a Live subscription and rechargeable controller battery/charger.

Cons: The system I purchased was manufactured in August 2008, it's the old falcon chipset. I'm really disappointed that I bought a brand new system only to receive one a year old. I only purchased it from Newegg since I saw all the other people receiving new systems...uggh

3 out of 5 eggsDecent system, good game selection.

Pros: The game library.

Cons: Out of the box, the video out on my Xbox did not work at all, which was no fault on Newegg's part. I sent my system to Microsoft for warranty service, and had to wait another 3 weeks before I could begin using it.

5 out of 5 eggsbest purchase ive made in years...

Pros: nearly perfect game selection, although id prefer more unique games and rpgs rather than lots of fps's
LIVE IS AMAZING, i couldnt live without it.
great for when i have friends over, we've spent countless hours on halo3 and cod5

Cons: only good exclusives are halo3 and gears2
not really 1080p, i want higher def like the ps3
you can only play fps's for so long...

Other Thoughts: i havent found 1 truly good game that isnt an fps for the 360 (i didnt really like fable2), but hey, i have a ps3 for rpg's and unique games, so im good.
despite the limited game genre selection, the 360 is still a must have. you just cant not have a 360. but if it werent for the change oh gameing with the ps3, i dont know how much time i could spend in one sitting on only the 360.

5 out of 5 eggsThis 5 is for NEWEGG

Pros: This thing is worthless wish i bought a PS3. Broke in the first month and half. The only Pro is i got it off newegg.

Cons: bad manufacturing ! worthless ! never fixed the red ring of death issue instead found a way to profit from it ! Needs better fans and heat sinks ! Drives have a bad failure rate ! and much more ! getting as bad as nintendo these days ;p

Other Thoughts: Newegg is awesome! they replaced my xbox 360 with little problems after it got lost in priority mail. I think they even went out of there way after a couple of phone calls and rushed it through for me. Newegg is where its at! I wont buy anywhere else!
