Pros: Small design
Quiet
Easy to take to friends house
Free games with PS+

Cons: Where to start...
The hard drive that came with it was very slow so I had to replace it with another one I had sitting around
I don't know how they managed it, but there is actually lag in most games I play (Uncharted 3 being the worst with horrible loading times and audio lag) I experienced it in other games too like Sly Cooper and Killzone 3.
Glossy parts attract dust and fingerprints
The PlayStation Store is extremely laggy (not sure if it's the consoles fault or it's just poor coding)
Slide cover seems to open too easily

Other Thoughts: I love the PS3, but this version just seems to be a downgrade from the normal slim. I will most likely return this one and just buy a slim instead. It feels like Sony was trying to squeeze a little bit more money out of people before the PS4 comes out.
Also to make a note. When I swapped the hard drive loading times slightly improved, but I still experienced in game lag.

Cons: have not recieved this item yet cause fedex shipped it to all the states around the one i live in then handed it off to us postal office who then shipped it back to were it started from to begin with and now im waiting for them to deliver it. its been 9 days so far since it was shipped

Other Thoughts: it you get the choice use ups

Pros: I was concerned about all of the comments I've read about it being light/cheaply built. Although it's small, it's still hefty, and the only thing cheap I've found about it is the sliding door for loading a dvd, and even that isn't as bad as I was led to believe. It's pretty much the same PS3 as always, even better with some updates.

Cons: The only thing I can complain about is the fact that they reduced the USB ports to two from four, but it could have been worse, they could have only had one!

Other Thoughts: If you're concerned about it functioning like previous versions of the PS3 it's pretty much the same. Video and Picture functions/features are the same etc. Another thing someone may be wondering about is using an OLDER Blu Ray remote with it. I had an old one from my fat PS3 80GB (bought it in '07) and it pairs with this just fine. It took a few tries but it works! (the Sony 4.31 update BRICKED my 8OGB which is why I bought this new PS3)

Pros: Quick easy selection on Newegg. Product was exactly what I wanted for a decent price.

Cons: Newegg chose a shipping company with the lowest rating in the region, who 'investigated' and subsequently lost my the package.
Upon attempting to contact Newegg about the package, it was suggested I 'look around my door,' even after explaining that I talked to 'Laser Courier' and they said it hadn't been delivered.
2 weeks later still waiting to hear what's going to happen.

Other Thoughts: Used to be an energetic fanboy for Newegg. Will no longer recommend to people sadly. Service has dropped off and they're no longer researching their shipping companies which leads to great risk at our expense.

Pros: This is my second PS3 system. It is by far the most superior Blu-ray player. I love the ease of use and simplistic design. The new top load tray may fix some of the slot load problems on previous models.

Cons: The new design cover seems to be "flimsy". That said, I have not had an issue with so far.

Pros: its a PS3 so thats already a pro, its sleek and has an excellent controller.
unique disc placement (its not a "shove the disc in the slot" loader now, its a press a button and the top part of the PS3 slides over kinda thing)

Cons: poor loading time on the title that came with it (uncharted 3). no joke, this thing takes over a minute just to load the TITLE screen! then another 30-45 seconds to load the actual game. and half the time it doesnt fully load, which results in you falling through the ground and getting killed.

Other Thoughts: aside from my initial game, the other 2 games i have now (mortal kombat and band hero) both run fine.

Pros: Quiet, like SUPER quiet. If the lights weren't on I wouldn't have known that the system was on.

Runs really cool after 8ish hours of gameplay as opposed to my old PS3 Phat. IR thermometer read the hottest (bottom) area as 90 degree's Fahrenheit.

Cons: Not much really, I honestly don't know if I can set the system in vertical position so I'm stuck with in sitting horizontal for now. Aside from that I have no complaints, I guess the charger cord for the controller could be longer but that's just personal preference.

Other Thoughts: Bought it as a replacement for my PS3 Phat, compared to eachother I already prefer the Super Slim. It's quiet, fast and takes a 500gb harddrive replacement perfectly.

Pros: * Dust
* Uncharted
* Playstation Plus which has apparently been spruced up with free games.

Cons: * Toy-like build quality
* Slow hard-drive
* No HDMI Cable

Other Thoughts: I've been holding off buying a PS3 for quite a while. I decided to finally pick one up thinking this was the right time to buy. I wish I read reviews before hand, but considering Sony hardware is usually top-notch, I didn't bother.

While I was pleased with the pack-ins (Dust, Uncharted, and Playstation Plus membership), the console itself left a lot to be desired.

It has a very toy-like build quality. It doesn't feel nearly as solid as the previous PS3 Slim (I had borrowed one for a few months). The downloads on this model seem exceptionally slow and its only made worse by extremely slow install times and game save times.

I made this purchase at Best Buy and intend to return. New Egg seems to be one of the few retailers carrying the previous slim model and its bundles - so I'll be making a purchase here soon.

Also, why no HDMI cable?

On a positive note:
Playstation Plus seems like a better value now that free games come with the service. Games like Little Big Planet 2 and Infamous 2 are highlights.

Overall thought:
I feel like Sony has obviously made this cheaper to manufacture, but the savings aren't exactly passed onto the consumer.
