1 out of 5 eggsBad design.

Pros: Sound quality is good on the mic and the speaker. Works well under a pair of headphones. Plantronics sent me another for free because of the lousy pickup on the microphone. Inline volume and mute.

Cons: #1 Mic boom is way too short. Half the time the 360 wouldn't pick up normal talking volume.
#2 The rubber behind the ear meant to hold this in position is not enough.
#3 The cable just seems too thin and a crimp, knot, bend could lead to the wires grounding almost anywhere.
#4 The ear bud just doesn't fit in your ear easily.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy this if you want a decent headset. I bought it originally to fit under my AX360 headset because only the microphone on it connected to the controller and playing voice through speakers has always been too quiet on the 360.

I did however take this apart and remove their boom and placed the AX360 flexible mic boom in its place and it works just like I wanted it to originally. Although unless I am wearing my headphones there isn't enough to keep it on my ear or from tipping because of the new mic boom is much heavier.

Glad I only had to recently hack this thing to work because after the free one didn't work any better I found a 2.5mm cell headset at Radio Shack on sale for $10 that was perfect for my needs. Two years later the wires inside are grounding out though.

1 out of 5 eggsbroken after a week

Pros: Under-ear style that is nicer than default xbox 360 wired headset.

Cons: I bought 2 of these and they both quit working after a week. I can still hear the audio playing in the ear-piece but the microphone does not seem to work. Everyone complains that my voice cuts out or they only hear parts of what I say.

Other Thoughts: I am just going to give in and by the standard xbox 360 wireless headset and hope the quality is better.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: the price

Cons: ridiculous that it takes 4 days to go from new castle to greenville. It is the 19th and still no package even thought the tracking info says that it was delivered.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for price

Pros: cheap, lightweight, small, decent sound, comfortable, still working just like new more than a year later

Cons: audio quality could be better, but it's good enough considering the price. Feels kind of flimsy but i haven't had any problems with durability.

Other Thoughts: it might be a little uncomfortable at first, but once you get used to it you forget it's even there. I played for 8+ hours the other day with some friends and even after all that time it still felt comfortable. I haven't had any problem with other people not being able to hear me, and no major issues with it staying in place, it will shift a little if you shake your head but thats expected, and even then it's never moved enough that the mic stops picking up my voice. I would definitely recommend this headset over the stock headset that comes with the console.

I've noticed that your audio quality can change between controllers, i used a cheap off brand wired control when i couldn't find batteries for my wireless and the voice quality sucked. As a friend put it I "sounded like Sean Connery" when I talked, and his voice sounded worse as well, but that was an issue with the controller not the headset.

3 out of 5 eggsGo another route..

Pros: I've had this headset for at least 18 months now. The chat sound quality is great and from what I'm told the voice quality the mic broadcasts is great too. The mic boom spins so you can wear it in your left or right ear.

Cons: This ear piece is a pain, literally. If you play for more than an hour or 2 at a time you have to take this out of your ear. It literally hurts. The earpiece is oval shaped but not in a such a way that it sits correctly in your ear. It's wide from front to back rather than top to bottom like it should be. If it wasn't so uncomfortable to wear during longer gaming session.. I'd have given it atleast 4 eggs but because it hurts to wear for a long time.. 3 is generous.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for the price

Pros: This device worked fine for me for just over 2 years before the mic finally gave out. I paid just under $20 for it at the time and I was quite satisfied. The earbud was a bit uncomfortable at first, and again when the rubber came off after my dog chewed on it about a year ago, but once you get used to it its great.
Fit me just fine so I didn't have any problems with it moving around, but if you have larger ears it may be annoying.
Quality was what I paid for, not amazing, but understandable, and people told me it sounded better than a standard 360 headset.

Cons: A bit annoying at first, takes some getting used to.

Other Thoughts: A great option if your looking for a cheaper headset, just be ready for some initial uncomfortablility.

4 out of 5 eggsNo problems

Pros: I've had this for about 2 years now and easily the best fitting and best clarity of any.

Cons: I've not had any problems with it. RE the other comments, it is lightweight so if you are moving, it the mic will move away from you, but it does have a shirt clip which is meant to prevent that. Any similar headset like you would find in a call center will do the same thing if you don't clip it to you, so it's not a flaw of this headset.

1 out of 5 eggsBig Mistake

Pros: I'm having a hard time thinking of any.

Cons: The head set does not stay in place. Any slight movement makes the mic move away from your head and nobody can hear you. It also has a high frequency ring when the volume is turned up all the way. I have tried several headsets over the last three years and this one is definitely the worst.

Other Thoughts: If you tape the mic to your face you can keep it in place. Maybe they should include tape in the package. Shame on newegg for selling this product.

2 out of 5 eggsNo one can hear you

Pros: Light weight, fits nice. If you like repeating yourself this is the headset for you.

Cons: No one can hear you.

Other Thoughts: This headset was ok for about a month. Then I constantly had to repeat myself. I am not sure if it is the noise cancelling aspect or what, but unless your voice has the high pitched shrill of a pre-pubescent 13 year old boy, expect to repeat yourself a lot.

2 out of 5 eggsUnique feature

Pros: Keeps you alert via electrical discharge into your ear canal!?!

Cons: None, who doesn't like being shocked?

Other Thoughts: It freakin' SHocKeD me! =0
