Virtua Fighter 5 Xbox 360 Game

Long a fan favorite in arcades and on consoles since 1993, the Virtua Fighter series is know for its multi-faceted combat system that lets novices execute combos while experts can throw down chains of moves to hurl their foes out of the ring or into the ground. Each one of the 17 fighters has a distinct fighting style that is based on real-world martial arts.

Each style has strengths or weaknesses when pitted against another competitor's fighting style with the result being a carefully balanced game where any of the fighters has the chance to go all the way. Sega's "Clash System" encourages a more "moral" style of play by allowing a fighter to cancel out an attack by an opponent with a throw. While evading an attack, a fighter can go on the offense which can turn the tables and create the opportunity for combo attack of their own.

Challenge local players in vs. mode or go beyond the arcade-style tournament in the Quest mode where players can challenge opponents in different arenas. Victories earn trophies, money and items to customize their fighters. Four base costumes plus a wide range of unlockable items and accessories plus an in-game store let players make their fighters their own. A multi-tiered ranking system shows your standing in the competition and the sharp graphics and fluid animations turn on-screen fights into a flurry of action. Pit your fighters against those from players around the world via Xbox Live.
