Xbox 360

Five years have passed since your former Saints crew betrayed you. As you awake from a coma for the first time since that fateful day, you find the Stilwater you once ruled is in disarray. Unfamiliar gangs have laid claim to your territory, rival factions have taken over your rackets, and cash-hungry corporations have laid waste to your once proud 3rd Street home. Abandoned and left scarred with an unrecognizable face, you seek out a plastic surgeon to begin your new life on the streets of Stilwater.

Reclaim Your Turf: Rebuild the Saints and seek revenge against rivals to reestablish your crew as the rightful kings of Stilwater.

Make Your Mark: Customize your crib, recruit your gang, and set your swagger using countless combinations of character configuration.

Demand Your Respect: Protect yourself with human shields, throw rivals into oncoming traffic and zero-in your nut-shot using all-new Fine Aim controls.

Jack Your Ride: Build your empire with private jets, speedboats, and helicopters or strafe the hood of your rival's monster truck from the comfort of your fighter plane.

Own Your Hood: Discover both the familiar and strange in a revitalized Stilwater as you taunt, mug and streak your way through the city.

Grab Your Piece: Send a message to your enemies using an arsenal of rocket launchers, shock-paddles, stun-guns, and satchel-charges.

Online: Complete the campaign in two-player co-op, or multiply the mayhem with online open-world gameplay.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Game

Pros: If you played and loved Saints Row, you'll love Saints Row 2. The new features and additions as well as character customizations are all excellent. If you want customization, you can customize almost everything about your person, as well as customize almost all land vehicles, your cribs, your clothes, body art, and come back and re-customize your character at any time. Since I see a lot of people comparing this game to GTA: IV, which I also own, I will simply say this... I like Saints Row 2 more than Saints Row 1, and I would take Saints Row 1 over GTA: IV any day of the week. To me, there really isn't a comparison, GTA: IV was very much a disappointment to me.

Cons: Take note of the back of the game case. It should say in green that there is: single player, co-op 2 players, xbox linking 2-12. And then in orange: online multiplayer 2-12, co-op 2. Don't be fooled! There is no offline co-op that you can play side by side with your buddy. The only co-op is online and xbox linking. I'm not sure why they put that on there, but it is misleading. Split screen would be pretty much impossible in a game like this... I was expecting one screen that two people roam in, like other games have done in the past. The game is still very much worth buying even without it, but it is a disappointment nonetheless.

Other Thoughts: Many people have mentioned a lot of game freezing. When I first played the game, it didn't take too long before the game froze on me. The very first thing I did after that happened was to install the game on my Xbox's Hard Drive. The second time the game froze on me was way later when I was around 85% game completion (all the storyline completed). It's only froze on me twice and that is probably due to installing the game to my HDD. My recommendation is to install the game to your HDD, and to save constantly. Typically, if I were to do so much as spray a tag since my last save, I would save again. It doesn't take long to save and it's well worth it. It's also good to have at least two saves for the same game, in case a save game ever gets corrupted for any reason, (such as the power going out while you're saving) Having multiple saves and saving often is also useful for quick re-loading if you die or something happens that you don't otherwise want.

3 out of 5 eggs...

Pros: -fun, hours of gameplay
-cool sotry line
-LOTS of cars
-LOTS of weapons
-full customization of your character
-killing gangs/cops is more than GTA

It's a bit unrealistic compared to GTA IV; that's the way it was made. If your a realistic-game freak, this probably isn't for you.

Cons: I was going to give it 4-5 stars but after a few hours of gameplay, the game crashed, lost almost all my missions, cars, weapons and money. Never again I will play this game because of that. Good thing I only rented it.

*landing gear on planes don't go up.
*lots of strange glitches.
*not a lot of songs on radio stations.
*car damage is poor.

Other Thoughts: It was fun, but I just totally lost my interest in this game. You may have a better experience than I did.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Game!

Pros: Much improved graphics over the last version. Looks great in HD! Missions are fun. Much better music than GTA IV. Amost everything you own in the game can be an extent. Lots of cribs! New sports cars are very well designed. Can actually walk into buildings without a blackout or a loading screen. Game play is fun, instead of being a chore like GTA IV. Storyline is both fun and entertaining.

Cons: Could always do better in the graphics department! Seems kind of watered down (over the previous version) going to some shops. How do I get the Hurse Limo?

Other Thoughts: Great game! Though GTA IV has much better graphics I'd much rather play Saints Row 2!

5 out of 5 eggsThe game that GTAIV should have been

Pros: Funny, fun, cool story. Very good graphics and the city of Still Water is more living and breathing than ever.
Unlike GTA IV, you don't have to do boring "dates" with friends to keep them happy.
Very engrossing and hilarious side missions. Unlike GTA IV, this game does not take itself too seriously and the game player is better off by that.

Cons: A few performance issues now and then. Homies are still not that bright on a fire fight. The story mode ends :-(

5 out of 5 eggsSR2 delivers

Pros: Co-Op is the reason that Xbox Live was created. This game takes full advantage of what XBL has to offer and the co-op doesn't subtract anything that you would find playing the single player game. All that people that bought the game from Rockstar need to check this out because its a much better game in my opinion.

Cons: I'm not sure if this is a known bug, but the game randomly freezes and you are forced to restart your Xbox so save the game often. Last night I had to restart three times and some of the people I played with had to do the same 1 or twice each.
