Pros: Can't say.

Cons: This is not a universally compatible device. I currently have a wireless phone and I connect my headset to the handset. Unfortunately the sound quality is poor and I thought an amplifier would be just the thing. According to the description "...connects a headset to the PC and virtually any phone" - what it fails to mention is that the phone has have a corded handset as I can see no way of making it work otherwise.

Other Thoughts: The instructions are quite poor. The first statement is "Connect all cords." Period! There is a small diagram that shows little, and if you are in the position of trying to configure a phone with a wireless handset then that statement means nothing.

5 out of 5 eggsHaven't found anything better...

Pros: This device workstation with any corded phone. weither its a PBX or a cheap 2 line analog phone. and It has a wire with separate Mic and Headphone connections which will with any audio card on a computer.

This biggest pro I can offer (especially for me) it will let you talk on the land line phone while listening to audio from your computer. This is especially important when you don't want people to hear the noises from your computer like, relaxing music, or Chat Bings! Supports the Jabra Stereo headset, which really puts a callers voice in your head blocking out other distractions. I also like having the mute on the base station which silent to your caller. On the land line, you can also hear your own voice which is important so you don't yell or distort, or are too quiet when talking. I use a $8 usb audio adapter so I can use it with skype and hear myself talk, by unmuting the Mic on the volume control.

Cons: The music doesn't come through in high quality or stereo, but as far as that goes, I wouldn't consider that a deal breaker.

Other Thoughts: Jabra came out with the 4800, which has better music quality, but your listening audio is a choice between the telephone and computer instead of both. Since it's directly USB you also cannot hear yourself talk which is a major minus. So eventhough the 8050 is older (like 10-15years) I still use it over another base unit.
