In ages past, an island called Illusia floated at the center of the world. At the heart of the island towered an ancient, enormous tree that stretched up to the very heavens. For ages past, chaos and sorrow had engulfed the world until at last its salvation appeared in the form of a boy, a girl, and a holy sword. Time flowed on and peace returned. The sword and the tree remained, and they soon came to be known as the Sword of Mana and the Mana Tree. Part of the "World of Mana" project, this game is a 2D RPG follow-up to the adored action-RPG series. Embark on a co-op multiplayer quest, teaming together to achieve actions and reach areas, by helping players up or working together in ways that single-player adventurers cannot do. Children of Mana features a complex weapon system where you can equip multiple weapons for range and melee attack.
Great Multiplayer Game
This review is from: Children of Mana game
Pros: Excellent Multiplayer game that is reminiscent of Four Swords or the old Gauntlet games on the NES. The soundtrack and art used are absolutely gorgeous!
Cons: No WiFi multiplayer action, and if you are a fan of previous Legend of Mana titles, you might steer clear of this game due to its poor story development and dungeon-grinding repetativeness. But if you're looking for some multiplayer fun, and your friends next door have it, might be worth the 30-beans.
Other Thoughts: Hopefully Square-enix sees it in their heart to give us a more complete Mana title somewhere down the road!
