1 out of 5 eggscooking mama

Pros: Something to do if your extremely bored!

Cons: It is the most boring game i own.. all you do is put things in a pan and stri them up for no reason because you can not ever do it to mama standards. There is no competition or business involved like i believed there was. There is nothing exciting about this game! I would not recommend this game to anyone.

1 out of 5 eggsNot That Great

Pros: Nothing really.

Cons: It's kind of fun for the first 2 times...in a party setting...with lots of alcohol. I suppose it could be fun for younger children as well, but I found it to respond horribly to the controls, there are minimal directions to explain what you have to do, and everything is timed so by the time you figure out what you have to do, you've already failed. Many of the entrees are off-the-wall stuff that I've never heard of before, but I guess that's where the international part comes in, not that it really matters, since the gameplay is boring and repetitive, oh and other than the main menus, everything is spoken and written in Japanese.

Other Thoughts: I was very disappointed in this game. I don't know if it's indicative of the series, but I was definitely hoping for a little more, even for a budget title.

4 out of 5 eggsIdeal Present

Pros: It made a great X-mas present for my daughter. I did not think she was going to enjoy it. She is playing it and having fun.

Cons: The game has some dificulties using the wii remote to adjust cooking temperature and stiring. It does not respond that well. My daughter has to make bigger circles for stiring and twisting the wrist for adjusting the temperature.

5 out of 5 eggsFun game

Pros: This is a fun and challenging game.

Cons: The recipes can get a little repetative, and the graphics are not the best.

Other Thoughts: Bought this for my wife, not really up my alley, no death and dismemberment (except chopping up chickens and stuff), but still a fun game to play together.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Wii Title!

Pros: Just for children? NO! What a great game! Takes advantage of all of the Wiimote's abilities using motion, it's g-sensors, etc... Everything works, and very addictive. TONS of recipes and easy to learn.

Cons: Perhaps too many recipes, but that's not a con, is it?

Other Thoughts: Fantastic game- teaches me and younger kids how to cook- and even has some very odd, foreign meals to cook as well. ;) Recommended for children interested in cooking or just bored of the same old Wii Sports.

2 out of 5 eggsFun for 30 minutes

Pros: I like cooking, and the game does a good job of capturing the motions. I had a lot of fun making the various foods in the game. The versus feature is fun with a friend.

Cons: After making five or six recipes, I quickly realized that there are only ten or so motions in the game. This results in a very low replay value. After the first time playing I didn't want to play it again.

Other Thoughts: This might be fun for a younger person, but it just doesn't provide enough for a 25 year-old.

5 out of 5 eggsI love this game!

Pros: To put it simply, it's just fun! Much better and more challenging than the DS version; and now it has a two-player cook-off part of the game in which you compete in an Iron Chef kind of manner! This is a game that takes full advantage of the Wiimote's features. It's probably even more fun if you enjoy cooking in the real world as well, like I do.

Cons: May not be for everyone. If you're not sure if this game is for you, I'd recommend renting it first. The woman who did the voice of Mama's Engrish voice got a tad annoying after awhile.

Other Thoughts: Like a lot of Nintendo's games, it looks like a kids' game at first glance. But you'll soon learn that it's fun no matter how old you are (and this is coming from a 22-year-old male). I wish they found a way to make use of the nunchuk though.
