5 out of 5 eggsVIA or Intel USB required for PC use

Pros: - Sanwa parts, arcade layout, need I say more?
- Per-button turbo fire mode with settings stored on the device.

Cons: - Not as heavy on the lap as an X-Arcade, but gets pretty close.
- Turbo fire mode a little flaky. Three settings are Fast, Slow, and Off. Fast turbo should be faster. Slow setting is slow enough to be useless.
- For PC use, you need a USB port that is fully downward compatible with USB 1.1. Only Intel and VIA chipsets are certain to meet this requirement.

Other Thoughts: Regarding the PC USB issue, you have two choices. If your motherboard's USB is powered by an Intel or VIA chipset - my ASRock X58 Extreme uses the VIA USB chip - then this joystick works out of the box. Just plug and play.

Otherwise, you must purchase and install a USB 2.0 PCI card with "VIA" clearly printed somewhere on top of the card. There are a few such USB PCI cards available on this and other sites. The Dynex brand USB PCI card available at Best Buy also works; you can see the VIA chip through the transparent packaging.

If you are building an nVidia nForce-based gaming computer and you plan to use this joystick, be sure to pick up a VIA-based USB PCI card and ensure that your motherboard will have a free PCI slot.

5 out of 5 eggsBest arcade stick for PS3

Pros: - Sturdy weight and size, plenty of room to rest arm
- Responsive stick and buttons from quality Japanese arcade parts
- Compartment for USB cable for easier transport
- Will improve skills in fighters over pads/lower quality sticks
- Works with many kinds of fighters (Street Fighter, Blazblue, MvC2, SC4, etc.)

Cons: - Front artwork doesn't stand too much, but it's a minor quibble
- Currently doesn't work with older Playstation games
- Certain PCs can't use it

Other Thoughts: The Mad Catz Tournament Edition arcade stick is one of, if THE best arcade stick available in the U.S. If you ever wanted to take the jump into being a serious fighting game enthusiast, one of these sticks is a must-have! The quality is unmatched down to the last detail.

I mainly use it to play Street Fighter IV and Marvel vs. Capcom 2, which both work wonderfully; in the case of the latter I advise a NEO-GEO style line of buttons for punches/kicks and the X and circle buttons for assists. This stick also works for the 3D fighters such as Tekken and Soul Calibur, though again, I recommend a fanned out button layout for personal comfort. No matter which games you're using it for the Mad Catz TE stick will improve your game over time with more precise movements and better control than other sticks and controllers.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Stick out!

Pros: First off you have to understand that this stick is all sanwa parts. Which is considered one of the highest quality brands in the arcade. This is like taking apart a arcade and making it smaller to fit in your lap.

It is very sturdy has a good weight to it.

Cons: the price dropped after i bought it.

Other Thoughts: I did alot of research on this stick I considered other sticks. like getting the standard edition and changing to sanwa later. I was close to getting the t6 stick. I am Happy i did not waste my money on that weak paper weigh stick. In addition you want a wire on your arcade sick you don't want lag.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The weight is spot on. It's not too heavy to place on lap during game play, but, at the same time, it maintains its position without effort.
The stick and buttons all feel very solid. The stick and buttons are all incredibly responsive.

Cons: The cable compartment door feels like it may not last and when I first tried to place the cable back into the compartment, it was a bit difficult to get the door to shut just right. (Maybe due to the cable being so rigid?)

Other Thoughts: I bought this to for PC as I don't own a PS3 or a 360. I've heard of issues with the PS3 sticks not working on PC due to hardware differences, but this one was a plug and play type of deal. I do have an intel chipset which seems to be the key to getting it to work.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great joystick and button responses. Generally sturdy construction. Heavy and big for stability during play.

Cons: Unwieldy. Flimsy cable compartment cover. PS3 version cannot be used on PCs with non-intel/via chipsets.

Other Thoughts: This is a great stick for its price. It's pretty much got everything you'll ever want from a stick. Full sanwa parts and all. The PS3 version does have severe compatibility issues with computers using OHCI usb host controller standard. It does NOT work on any motherboard chipset that's not intel or via! However, 360 version apparently doesn't suffer from this. There ARE remedies for desktop computers such as using an intel-based usb expansion card though. Beware if you're thinking about using this for an emulator.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Stick

Pros: Simply the best stick that you didn't build yourself. Smaller than the HRAP with too many useful features to mention. Easy to repair.

Cons: The joystick and buttons are, for my taste, too close together. I prefer more separation between the two. Could be a touch heavier as well.

Other Thoughts: The best stick ever mass manufactured. If you can't live with this one, you're going to have to build your own.

5 out of 5 eggsBEST arcade stick

Pros: I own a MAS systems(very popular american stick) and comparing these two is night and day. This stick is 1000X more responsive. If you ever played Marvel vs. Capcom and understand what "wave dashing" is , you can do it effortlessly. As for SF4 its comparable to other stick and its just more responsive

Cons: Made out of plastic and panel at the top of the cord storage is really weak.

Other Thoughts: buy it now!
