1 out of 5 eggsDid not Work

1 out of 5 eggsWorked then failed

Pros: small profile, neat looking.

Cons: Arrived fine but with a burn smell when opened the pkg. Plugged in during my recent int'l flight and it worked outbound. During return flight, somehow my laptop adapter (Dell 19.5V/3.34A output) doesn't have enough juice. Thus I have to use my old one (but works).

2 out of 5 eggsWorks but Newegg sent used product!

Pros: A power inverter for 10 shipped is a good deal regardless of how many watts it is. It also does work with my laptop.

Cons: I received a used product. Somewhat noisy fan, however I did not find it too obnoxious. I imagine much of the sound would be drowned out if car is running at highway speed or by the drone of a jet engine.

Other Thoughts: I have always received good service and luck with newegg so I was very disappointed to open the box and find a clearly used product. There were scratches and smudges all over the inverter and the car adapter showed signs of being plugged in before. I am disappointed. I happened to look at the shipping box and the from address is labeled "RMA Warehouse." I did a little checking and there have been other recent reports of used products being shipped by Newegg as new. It will be disappointing if this is a practice that Newegg is adopting rather than a mistake. If its a mistake they need to review their warehouse practices to prevent these RMA's products from going out as new instead of being sold open box as it appears to be happening frequently.

On the plus side, I was fortunate that this thing didn't cost me hardly anything and that it actually worked. I just tested it with my laptop in my car and it did power up just fine. It's 65 watt power supply, 14", 2.0Ghz Core 2, 4GB Ram.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat product and size, Needs better information

Pros: -Very small and portable. I was surprise how small it was and pretty durable.+Fuse
-Great sale Price 10$ Shipped? amazing
-Fast shipping, beat my RAM and 16GB Flash drive here
-Air Plane adapter!
The second product I tested was my dell mini 10v, it has 30WATT power adapter requirement.(1.6GHz atom, 1GB ram, 160GB 5400RPM hd, gma 950, and led-lite) the adapter charged it like any adapter and even running windows experience index test, it didn't give me the red light of death like my first product.

Cons: -Fan is definitely loud, if you have a luxury car and prefer the quiet, highly not recommended. A good white noise sound.
-Overstate power.
I always do research before I buy products and I the read newegg reviews, so I wasn't expecting much.
Doing simple math there's an avg of 15% power loss in most converters. Therefore 120WATT - 15%= at least 104WATT left to spare. I played nice and said 25% power loss, so 96WATT.My 07 Tacoma has an outlet that states 120WATT Max output so my vehicle is set.
The first product I wanted to test was my Dell XPS 1330 it has a 90WATT power adapter. Specs core 2 duo 1.8GHz,3GB Ram, 250GB HD 5400RPM, integrated graphic card, and LED-backlite screen. The product should power this at ease and during high load, sadly even booting up my laptop made the adapter go red light of death. I tried turning down my brightness and set it for low power use and well, red light of death. Although I can charge it when it's off and stand by. that's like barely any power.

Other Thoughts: Overall I brought the adapter with low expectation cause of other reviews (Thanks you guys)
I estimated that It has about a good 45-60WATT of charging power so HALF of what's state. If your product only use 60 WATT then it should be good to go and don't expect much.

This product should state only 60Watt to be realistic, if it's going to advertise it should state 75watt MAX, taking in consideration of power loss.

Charges my mini 10V just fine cause it's only 30 watt but not my dell with 90Watt power adapter. Hell even with the screen off and on it won't charge.

It's rosewill so newegg home basement made product. I usually have good luck with those but this one was an expectation.

1 out of 5 eggsLoud fan noise and scratches on case

Pros: None

Cons: Maybe I got what I paid for.
It doesn't look like new one. (scratches on case)
The power is not enough to use my 17" notebook.

Other Thoughts: It's worthless.
I going to return.

3 out of 5 eggslike an open box item

Pros: small, portable

Cons: received yesterday (after a mis-delivery to another location), and it seems to be a used unit (smell burned and some scratches). I'll test it out once I'm in the air by this wkend.

Other Thoughts: as long as it works, it's ok w/ me.

4 out of 5 eggsAs powerful as advertised

Pros: Outputs enough juice to charge my Acer Aspire One (70W 3rd party charger), HTC Touch, and Zune 30gb

Cons: A little noisy, but no noisier than other actively cooled inverters. The sound is a louder when all three of my devices are charing.

Other Thoughts: At first I didn't think this thing had enough juice to power my netbook, alone. I tried it in another car and it worked just fine. It ends up my Chrysler Crossfire didn't put out enough power to the inverter for the 70W charger! Perhaps this is what other reviewers experienced. If the inverter isn't outputting enough power to charge your netbook / laptop, make sure you try it in multiple vehicles.

1 out of 5 eggsWorthless

Pros: None

Cons: Does NOT work with iphone, ipod, apple macbook pro 13". LOUD

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We apologize for the inconvenience, and will be more than happy to handle this for you. The USB port output from this unit is 5V and 0.5 Amp which same as most USB port in car power adapter. But I-phone or I-pod required 1 Amp in charging power. . Our Lab will like to have this unit. Please contact rma@rosewill.com and mention that our Lab need to test this unit. We will help you to get for full refund from Newegg and we will send you a gift as a token of Rosewill's appreciation. We look forward to hear from you.

1 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: The unit is small, light weight, and very portable. Cheap.

Cons: Not powerful enough. Very limited function.

Other Thoughts: I bought this unit to power my laptop while on a long flight/drive, as well as to charge an I-Pod mid air or while driving. Unfortuneately this unit did neither. It states that it works with MP3 players but after a phone call discovered that I-Pods require more power than the USB port produces. The person on the phone convinced me that it would work for the lap top on a plane no problem. After a couple of hours into a 10 hour flight I tried it out. The unit internal breaker popped every time I tried it. It could charge the lap top when it was turned off only. This unit was not completely useless but very close. I would have gladly paid more money for a unit that worked and would recommend that you do. This unit completely altered what I planed to do on a 10 hour flight.
