The Rosewill HDMI cable with HDMI High Speed specification enables clear video and multi-channel surround sound experience. Plus, the high speed networking Ethernet channel allows you to use your IP-enabled devices without adding an additional Ethernet cable.

10.2Gbps Ultra Slim Series High Performance HDMI® Cable w/ RedMere® Technology
A High Speed HDMI® Cable with RedMere® is the best way to transmit your High Speed HDMI signals over the longest distances, while using the thinnest cables possible!

RedMere technology is a breakthrough in the functionality and efficiency of HDMI cables. High Speed HDMI Cables with RedMere can reliably distribute High Speed signals to much greater distances, up to 65 feet (20 meters) at the full 10.2 Gbps data throughput, as opposed to the 25 foot distance for HDMI cables without RedMere technology. This can be done with thinner and lighter cables, which are easier to handle and route through your home theater system and which put less stress on your equipment's HDMI ports.

Normally a cable of this length would require minimum 28 AWG conductors to support High Speed HDMI features, but the RedMere chip in this cable allows it to support all High Speed HDMI features with only 36 AWG conductors. The connector heads measure a mere 5/8" wide and 1/4" thick. The connector head at the source is only 9/16" long, while the connector head at the sink (TV), which houses the RedMere chip, is only 13/16" long.

Note that HDMI Cables with RedMere are directional. One end must be connected to the source device (e.g., Bluray™ player) and the other end to the sink/display (e.g., HDTV). Hooking them up backwards will not damage anything, they just won't transmit a signal.

HDMI Cables with RedMere include several features that separate them from other cables with RedMere. The connector heads are fully shielded with zinc alloy, which helps prevent RFI and EMI from interfering with your HDMI signal. They also have the highest rated pull force of all HDMI Cables with RedMere, which means you won't accidentally pull the cable head off by tugging on the cable instead of the connector. The tooled polycarbonate connector heads are the smallest HDMI connectors available, which means they can fit in tight spaces, such as on an Xbox 360 Slim with an analog audio cable installed. They also present a cleaner and neater appearance than ordinary injection molded connector heads. Finally, the Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) jacket is able to withstand more abuse than ordinary ABS or PVC jackets, which means your cable will last much longer in a heavy use environment than otherwise.

This cable supports the following HDMI features:

  • 1080p Resolution - This High Speed HDMI Cable has sufficient bandwidth to transfer 1080p video signals between 1080p rated source and sink (display) devices.

  • HDMI Ethernet Channel - The HDMI Ethernet Channel provides 100 Mbps, full-duplex Ethernet traffic along the HDMI cable, allowing a wired or wireless Ethernet connection on one device to be propagated to other devices. Note that for this feature to be functional, all pieces of equipment between the Ethernet source and the destination must support the HDMI Ethernet Channel feature.

  • Audio Return Channel - Normally, your HDMI cable carries audio information along with the video from a source device (e.g. blu-ray player) to the sink device (display/television). Often times this goes through an AV receiver to drive a home theater audio system. The Audio Return Channel is primarily used to send the audio signal generated by the television when its internal tuner is used, back to the AV receiver, so that you can use your home theater audio system when watching television signals.

  • 3D - 3D is the latest rage for both home theater and gaming. A High Speed HDMI Cable is capable of handling the high bandwidth requirements of 3D signals.

  • 4K - The 4K resolution is 3840 x 2160 pixels @ 24 Hz, which is four times that of a 1080p display and the same resolution used by state-of-the-art Digital Cinema systems. A High Speed HDMI Cable is capable of handling the high bandwidth required for 4K support.

  • Deep Color - The Deep Color feature provides a minimum of 8-bits per color element (24-bits total), providing for a total of over 16 million color variations. Other versions of Deep Color allow for up to 16-bits per element, for a total of 48-bits and over 281 trillion color variations, which really makes your video images come to life!

  • x.v.Color™ - x.v.Color is a promotion name given to the products that have the capability to realize a wide color space based on the xvYCC specifications and is a trademark of Sony Corporation. Currently, only AVCHD and Playstation™ 3 devices support x.v.Color.

  • High Definition Audio - HDMI supports a full range of high definition audio types, including SA-CD, DVD-Audio, DTS-HD Master Audio™, and Dolby TrueHD™.

  • newegg HDMI High Speed Compliant The Rosewill HDMI cablecomplies with the HDMI High Speed specification for up to 1080p resolutions video, and multi-channel surround sound transfer via a single cable.
  • newegg HDMI with Ethernet Adding the high speed networking Ethernet channel to this HDMI link provides users the benefit of using their IP-enabled devices without adding an additional Ethernet cable.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Thin without seeming fragile, works well, doesn't seem cheap

Cons: none that I ever came across

Other Thoughts: Got it to watch HBO GO via my 1st gen Kindle Fire HD 7 in. Worked fantastically without ridiculous delay between the two screens. No noticeable quality issues in video or sound that were caused by the cable. Just wish the Kindle Fire HDX I have now had a micro HDMI port so I could keep using it without having to grab the old HD 7

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect For Tablets on the Go!

Pros: Cable is super thin, but is an HDMI 1.4 so it can even still do ethernet over HDMI. I am using this on an Acer Iconia W700 tablet to connect it to HDTVs. Works like a charm and is so thin I barely notice it in my tablet case when I travel.

Cons: Cable is so thin and easy to crimp, as it is much less thick and robust than a normal HDMI cable, care has to be taken not to store it improperly, otherwise I fear a few bends will be the end of it.

Other Thoughts: This is the perfect solution if you don't want to have to carry a Micro HDMI to HDMI adapter AND a full-size HDMI cable. I'd rather have just a single cable, instead of an adapter and a bulky normal-size HDMI cable, especially while traveling.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent 6' HDMI Cable

Pros: Amazingly thin cable (about 3/32" thickness). This is apparently dure to the "Redmere" technology Rosewill uses. Whatever it is, you can roll up a 6' cable and put it in your pocket. Shielded by plastic, not metal mesh, so I thought that there might be some interference problems. I tried to cause interference by wrapping it around the power cable for the monitor, but there was no visible intereference at all. The images are sharp on both my ASUS computer monitor and a Viewsonic backlit LED LCD TV monitor, both 1080p. No ghosting on either. 5.1 surround sound came through loud and clear. Gold plated connectors, which fit snugly (not loosely like some HDMI connectors).

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsWell made HDMI to Micro HDMI cable

Pros: *Nice material
*Well made
*Super thin
*Gold color plating a nice touch

Cons: None that I encountered

Other Thoughts: Let's be realistic, there are tons of similar cables that you can purchase at a cheaper price but you are also getting a lesser quality product. This Rosewill cable is really nice. It's very thin yet very well made. Its sturdy on both ends so it will withstand constant plugging and unplugging without falling apart. I really like the matte like material they opted to use especially since I am not a fan of glossy cables which can be slick. I tested it with a Motorola Atrix and have no issues to speak of.

5 out of 5 eggsThis is a very nice cable

Pros: This very thin cable has performed very well. I used this cable with several mobile devices to project the pictures and videos for a presentation to a 57 inch Television. There are several things to point out on this cable. Between my presentations I was able to take this 6 foot cable and wind it up and slip it right into my pocket without a big bulge. It is super slim I would put it right around the thickness of a cheap ball point pen ink cartridge. After winding it up into a loop several times and putting it in my pockets the cable did not develop a memory this is very nice I am sure if you had to squeeze this cable into a tight space you would not have any issues with it not being flexible enough. I personal like the clad finish on the connectors of the cable it’s a nice shiny gold color and really goes well with the black of the cable. The hard plastic that the connectors are mounted in is quite sturdy and has hold up well so far. The image quality that the cable transmitted was very good and I did not get any kind of lines or static feedback from this cable.

Cons: The hard plastic that the connectors are mounted in could have some kind of texture to help you unplug the cable it’s a bit slippery and can be a bit tempting to pull on the cable to unplug it form the device.

Other Thoughts: I feel this cable has really met my expectations this is my first Rosewill product and wont be last

5 out of 5 eggsGreat HDMI cables for tight spaces.

Pros: This cable functions like any micro HDMI cable would. I didn't notice any signal issues with audio or video. It works!

Where it really shines is the much thinner design of the cable and cable heads. I did a bend test where I bent a length of the cable in half as tight as I felt comfortable doing so and measured the widest part of the loop. A standard HDMI loop was about 1/2 inch wide. This cables widest part of the loop was about 1/4 of an inch. What this means for the real world is that it can be run in much tighter spaces than your typical HDMI cable. When I hook up audio/video systems in a wood cabinet, I try to make the hole for all the cables to be as small as possible. This cable really helps with that.

Cons: None really. The packaging was just a labeled plastic bag so it didn't have much protection.

Other Thoughts: HDMI Cables are usually pretty thick for what they do. So hopefully this thinner style will become more of a trend, because it's a lot easier to deal with when hooking up audio/video systems.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cable for a specific application

Pros: - Redmere
- Light
- Thin
- Nicely plated connectors

Cons: - Giant "TV End" sticker kind of detracts from the aesthetic. It can be removed but requires some more effort to clean the cable of residue. Why not just write it on the actual connector?

Other Thoughts: For the uninitiated, Redmere is basically a microchip that allows HDMI data over a very thin cable. This means it's more flexible, takes up less space, and can go over longer distances. Also, no giant ferrite cores necessary. I've run 60 foot HDMI Redmere cables with no problems.

Due to their smaller sizes you can run them in conduit with little difficulty, previously I've had to cut the ferrite cores, then reattach after the conduit run. If you are ever putting an hdmi in a conduit it's definitely worth the extra entry point price, but if it is loose in the wall I suggest sticking to the thicker cabling since I feel like they would hold up a bit better.

A to D cables have a fairly specific usage. You can find it in some tablets and phones, but most cameras I've come across use the mini-hdmi standard.

The Rosewill offering is competitive in pricing, and I was aesthetically pleased. You can clearly set it apart from the cheap ones you find. I gave it a thorough twisting and flailing without negative results, some of the cheap ones I have found can break after shoving it into a bag a few times, but no issues with this.

Highly recommended if you need an A to D cable, but save yourself a headache and make sure you need a MICRO HDMI and not MINI HDMI.
