5 out of 5 eggsThis is a very nice cable

Pros: This very thin cable has performed very well. I used this cable with several mobile devices to project the pictures and videos for a presentation to a 57 inch Television. There are several things to point out on this cable. Between my presentations I was able to take this 6 foot cable and wind it up and slip it right into my pocket without a big bulge. It is super slim I would put it right around the thickness of a cheap ball point pen ink cartridge. After winding it up into a loop several times and putting it in my pockets the cable did not develop a memory this is very nice I am sure if you had to squeeze this cable into a tight space you would not have any issues with it not being flexible enough. I personal like the clad finish on the connectors of the cable it’s a nice shiny gold color and really goes well with the black of the cable. The hard plastic that the connectors are mounted in is quite sturdy and has hold up well so far. The image quality that the cable transmitted was very good and I did not get any kind of lines or static feedback from this cable.

Cons: The hard plastic that the connectors are mounted in could have some kind of texture to help you unplug the cable it’s a bit slippery and can be a bit tempting to pull on the cable to unplug it form the device.

Other Thoughts: I feel this cable has really met my expectations this is my first Rosewill product and wont be last

5 out of 5 eggsGreat HDMI cables for tight spaces.

Pros: This cable functions like any micro HDMI cable would. I didn't notice any signal issues with audio or video. It works!

Where it really shines is the much thinner design of the cable and cable heads. I did a bend test where I bent a length of the cable in half as tight as I felt comfortable doing so and measured the widest part of the loop. A standard HDMI loop was about 1/2 inch wide. This cables widest part of the loop was about 1/4 of an inch. What this means for the real world is that it can be run in much tighter spaces than your typical HDMI cable. When I hook up audio/video systems in a wood cabinet, I try to make the hole for all the cables to be as small as possible. This cable really helps with that.

Cons: None really. The packaging was just a labeled plastic bag so it didn't have much protection.

Other Thoughts: HDMI Cables are usually pretty thick for what they do. So hopefully this thinner style will become more of a trend, because it's a lot easier to deal with when hooking up audio/video systems.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cable for a specific application

Pros: - Redmere
- Light
- Thin
- Nicely plated connectors

Cons: - Giant "TV End" sticker kind of detracts from the aesthetic. It can be removed but requires some more effort to clean the cable of residue. Why not just write it on the actual connector?

Other Thoughts: For the uninitiated, Redmere is basically a microchip that allows HDMI data over a very thin cable. This means it's more flexible, takes up less space, and can go over longer distances. Also, no giant ferrite cores necessary. I've run 60 foot HDMI Redmere cables with no problems.

Due to their smaller sizes you can run them in conduit with little difficulty, previously I've had to cut the ferrite cores, then reattach after the conduit run. If you are ever putting an hdmi in a conduit it's definitely worth the extra entry point price, but if it is loose in the wall I suggest sticking to the thicker cabling since I feel like they would hold up a bit better.

A to D cables have a fairly specific usage. You can find it in some tablets and phones, but most cameras I've come across use the mini-hdmi standard.

The Rosewill offering is competitive in pricing, and I was aesthetically pleased. You can clearly set it apart from the cheap ones you find. I gave it a thorough twisting and flailing without negative results, some of the cheap ones I have found can break after shoving it into a bag a few times, but no issues with this.

Highly recommended if you need an A to D cable, but save yourself a headache and make sure you need a MICRO HDMI and not MINI HDMI.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for Wall-Mounts

Pros: Packaging looks nice
Cable looks and feels nice
It functions perfectly, just as any digital cable should. Fantastic picture and it has the functionality for ethernet (though I didn't have use for it).
Plugs were very short and provided plenty of wiggle room.
Tight fit on both ends of the cable.

Cons: Tough to come up with any, but the packaging is a little "gross". I figured it would have been stapled shut so when I pulled it, the packaging bag would pop open easily. However, it was sort of glued together so little pieces came off. Not as clean as it could have been, I don't know why staples weren't used.

Other Thoughts: I have a wall-mounted TV in my living room with hardly any clearance between it and the wall. Before, I had to take it slightly off the wall to plug/unplug an HDMI cable. With the extra 10mm of room from the RedMere technology, it's easy to hook up my video camera to the TV.

5 out of 5 eggsnice cable I think

Pros: The description doesn't really do this justice, when it comes to how thin the cable is. It really is completely different than normal HDMI cables. It's absolutely perfect for connecting a phone or tablet to a tv or computer monitor. I tested this out with my kindle fire HD, and the thin cable made it a lot easier and neater to arrange the cables. It is no thicker than the power/USB cable that came with the kindle.

Cons: I don't know if it is the cable, the tablet, or the tv, but the tv kept switching from 720p to 1080i and was slightly washed out. I don't have any way to test it on another tablet or tv so I'll give the cable the benefit of the doubt. It worked and looked just fine when it wasn't flipping resolutions so I suspect it is the fault of the kindle.

Other Thoughts: This cable is thin enough that I won't have any problem just leaving it plugged in to the TV all the time. It's just that much more convenient and unobtrusive.
