5 out of 5 eggsthe best

Pros: make sure to get the wiring harnes that is right.. i followed the splitter info and there is a wire labiled wrong :( that makes me mad

Cons: dose not hit hard.. well actily it dose; i hooked it up 2 my friends subs and i played "bass i love u" and it killed his battery in 5 min. it hits so much harder than most other head units
dont run the radio on acc for to long it takes a lot of power. when i play any song that has bass it makes the lights dim.

Other Thoughts: to get it set up is hard.. like the setting.. and the rear AUX dose not work i will be calling pioneer about it!
dose not support all ipods!!! :( supports everything above a shuffle

2 out of 5 eggsEverybody hates this thing

Pros: Very good sound quality. Looks great. Has plenty of inputs for aux devices.

Cons: Everybody who has seen this unit hates it. The "user interface" is unbelievably un-intuitive. Except for a very few functions, most of the things you need to do requires you to memorize which combinations of pushes, turns, and twists of the main controller knob are needed. Especially ridiculous is the setting and recalling of the radio station presets. It is so easy on a normal stereo and so stupid on this thing. I wish I had gotten something else.

Other Thoughts: Another stupid thing is the usb port for the iPod is in the BACK! Huh??? There is a 3.5mm aux jack in the front, but the iPod connector is in the back. They supply a long extension cable that you have to run somewhere. Why not just put the jack in the front? Don't buy this stereo for a normal person. This thing is for geeks only.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat deck!

Pros: This deck sounds GREAT! Couldn't be happier with the sound. Nice comprehensive instructions. This is my first deck with a USB port - the CD player is hardly used anymore! Runs every thumb drive I've tried so far.

Cons: All-in-one controller knob is not exactly the most intuitive interface; I find myself using the remote.

Other Thoughts: Installed in a '00 Tundra. When you buy the harness adapter, make sure you know it plugs in to the factory harness AFTER the amp! Matched with two pairs of Polk DB6501 component speakers - great combination!! Now I just need a sub...

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome head unit!

Pros: Awesome head unit, great appearance. Worked out of the box like a charm. I have it hooked up to a 95 Regal and 3 high end Kenwood amps and the sound is crystal clear. I bought it to replace a broken Pioneer DEH 3900mp.

Cons: you really have to read the manual to figure out how to use some of these features.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Head Unit

Pros: Installed this on my 1990 Honda CRX. Install was easy. The unit has great features like Aux and USB inputs. Connected a 2.5 250GB external HD and the unit recognized the drive. Sound retriever feature is nice.

Cons: Jog dial is hard to get used to, still have not figured out to set the clock or preset the stations (lost the manual).

Other Thoughts: The unit remembers the track if you detach the USB device accidentally...

5 out of 5 eggsThe Best Deck For The Price

Pros: 3 Pre-outs, USB/IPOD capable. Sounds Great. This deck has everything except bluetooth. It does have the IP-Bus on it so if you want to add anything you can. The control knob is simple and intuitive once you use it. Presets are easy, press list, press and hold the knob.

Cons: Use crimp caps or any type of secure crimping or pressure fitting. Not twisting and tape.

Other Thoughts: I use a 12gig Memorex Travel Drive and it works just fine. To the people that are having issues with Flash Drives call the manufacturer and see if you can get the power requirements. If it needs more than 500millaAmps its not going to work. There are 120 gig drives that work, just before you buy get the power requirements.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Deck

Pros: Great sound quality much better than the stock unit that came with my vehicle. Nice equalizer and lots of useful presets. I bought a 8GB Patriot flash drive and hooked it up to the rear USB connection and it works flawlessly. Nice remote. Plays multiple formats - mp3, wma

Cons: Control knob is a little difficult to use. 3 band equalizer and not a 5. Minor quibbles really
