The 5.1 channel receiver is Dolby and DTS certified so you can hear the movies the way they were meant to be. Onkyo's CinemaFILTER technology adjusts the tonal balance of the soundtrack to take into account room size.
Pass throughs for component and composite video feeds let you minimize the cables running to your TV or projector by concentrating them at the back of the receiver, where you'd be running the audio cables anyway. This also allows you to switch input sources more quickly.
