The system's powerful receiver hits all the right notes; it featurs a discrete WRAT amplifier for clear, detailed sound; four HDMI® inputs and one output to handle 3D video and high-resolution audio; a USB port for direct digital iPod®/iPhone® connection; and an HDMI-enabled overlaid on-screen display for extra-easy system navigation. Likewise, the two-way front and center speakers are fitted with high-quality drivers and tweeters, while an energy-efficient 120 Watt subwoofer fills out the bottom end. 3D Video and Audio Return Channel via HDMI Four HDMI inputs on allow seamless integration of high-definition devices such as Blu-ray players, cable/satellite tuners, and gaming consoles. HDMI implementation on this receiver also supports an Audio Return Channel, allowing TV audio to be sent upstream to the A/V receiver. That means you can enjoy television programs in magnificent Onkyo sound. HDMI also supports 3D video and other popular high-resolution formats.
Direct Digital Connection: The Cleanest Your iPod Can Sound The front-panel USB port lets you play MP3 and AAC stored in an iPod/iPhone, and MP3, WMA, AAC, and FLAC audio files stored on a flash-memory device, and you can use the system's own remote for track selection and playback. Your music will sound much cleaner and clearer, as the audio signal is transported in digital -rather than analog- form through the direct digital connection.
ONKYO's WRAT (Wide Range Amplifier Technology) Delivers Higher Fidelity WRAT is a suite of innovative technologies developed to improve signal-to-noise ratios, and to enhance the fidelity of amplified audio.
