1 out of 5 eggscheap

Pros: cheap
uses usb or sd card

Cons: can not save radio stations (OLD FASHIONED "STRING ON A DIAL"). but the radio does not pick up any stations anyway - i got it for the usb - rather listen to my music than radio station's

Other Thoughts: lots of buzzing, hear noise from engine sometimes. very cheap, still works but barely. read the revies and knew what i was buying, but using the string on a dial was just too cheap, and at least have option to save radio stations....if you can pick any up - about equal to a child's "build a crystal radio project", only thing that saves this cheap piece of electronics is the usb connection.

4 out of 5 eggsNot Bad

Pros: Cheap, small, easy to install. It actually sounds pretty good. I bought it to replace a stereo before I sold a car. I was presently surprised about the quality. The ground does need a filter but it's not terrible.

Cons: Alternator Whine. Maybe I didn't have the best ground in the world but my other stereo worked off the same wire and it was fine.

Pros: none

Cons: FM tuner is just awful, always noise in the speakers, the front face sticks out so it doesnt even fit in my dash right.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap, no more annoying CD skipping, nice to have an analog radio controller. Can turn all the way up without distortion.

Cons: Requires an in-line power filter or else there's noise in the speakers. Doesn't display the ID3 tag of the mp3, but it works.

4 out of 5 eggsCan't complain for the price

Pros: Paid $25 using a $5 promo card from my last purchase. The price is why this is a 4 egg review and not a 3.
Sound quality and volume are decent.
Nice clock.

Cons: Navigating MP3's can only be done one song at a time. There is no folder skip, just a forward and a back button, one song at a time, annoying. No random mode either.

There is no mp3 information displayed, just a nice clock and an icon of a SD card.
You have to remove the card to switch back to FM, no mode switch. Luckily the FM tuner is useless, so you'd never want to switch back anyways.

Other Thoughts: When i first hooked it up I thought the display was dead, but after being on power for a few hours it now shows fine. The radio tuner is 'by wire', not digital, and I'm pretty sure the freq display is not synched correctly on my unit.

The manual says 2gb max on SD cards or USB, but I have a 8gb card in there and it plays fine.

For $25 this is worth 4 stars, cheap enough that I don't have to worry about it getting ripped off, and better than the empty hole in my dash that was there.
