The WC-24 is for those who want home theater speakers that look as good as they sound. When compared to traditional center channels, the WC-24 is more refined, taking up less space while still delivering Klipsch signature high-output, low-distortion sound.

Dramatically reducing a speaker’s width and depth, as seen in the WC-24, poses some engineering challenges. The larger the speaker, the more output and dynamics you get. The Klipsch engineers, however, found a way to generate excellent output and dispersion from this slim speaker by employing an all-new proprietary technology called the XT Tractrix Horn. The XT engineering takes the time-proven philosophy to new heights by altering the surface geometry of the horn—making the WC-24 the true conversation piece of your home theater.

While the WC-24 employs modern advancements on the inside, it reflects a classic approach on the outside, featuring a timeless wood veneer cabinet finished in cabernet. Unlike most speaker manufacturers who opt for domestic veneers (cherry, oak or maple), the Klipsch selected an exotic, non-endangered Berlinia veneer from West Africa. Berlinia is a sister veneer to Zebrawood, which is often featured on luxury goods. The WC-24 cabinet is carefully sanded, sealed and stained. Much like in high-end furniture manufacturing, the stain is then top coated with a polyurethane finish. This spray application involves 10 coats, with sanding in-between each coat to achieve the proper thickness. The cabinet is also inspected at every sanding level to ensure clarity over the stained veneer.

  • newegg Stylish Design Featuring a furniture-grade wood veneer cabinet in cabernet, the Klipsch WC-24 center speaker reflect a classic approach that can blend seamlessly with your house decoration and your home theater system.
  • newegg Superior Sound Equipped with a premium titanium diaphragm compression driver and two high-output fiberglass cone woofer, the Klipsch WC-24 produces amazing theater sound with precise high frequencies and hard-hitting lows. The all-new proprietary XT Tractrix Horn technology helps generate excellent output with extreme smooth response and constant directivity from this slim speaker.
  • newegg Magnetic Grille Magnetic grille with no visible fasteners on baffle keeps dust and dirt out, and protects the speaker from accidental bumps.

5 out of 5 eggsLike a virgin

Pros: I've had an older set of Polk 5.1 surround speakers for years and have been pretty happy with them... until I saw this one on sale and decided to snap one up. I'm now hearing things I never noticed through the older Polk center - in fact, whole words that were muddy and inaudible now ring clear... "for the very first time". Because most dialogue runs through the center channel, I'm convinced that having a really good center speaker is key. This center just rocks, and looks great too.

Cons: None that I can see or hear. The horn gives strong treble response sometimes, but this isn't a bad thing.

Other Thoughts: Others have commented that the magnetic speaker grill can fall off. Mine didn't have any issues, but maybe some inner magnets didn't get fastened properly in the factory. This makes me wonder what an entire surround setup with these would be like!

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful

Pros: The speaker is very attractive. Very good construction, quality and above all sound. The sound is amazing! I hear very subtle tones I haven't noticed before. I am extremely pleased with this purchase. Shipping was free and arrived next day.

Cons: The magnetic speaker cover tends to "slip off" easily..maybe the magnets could be stronger? Very minor issue really, especially if you don't handle the speaker often. Just to be clear, the cover doesn't fall off or slip even during higher volume sessions.

5 out of 5 eggsClear voice center channel

Pros: I've replaced another centre speaker with this and the resultant change in voice quality and clarity was instantly recognizable.

The audio channel became crisp and clear. The size is not too large, yet feels substantial. If it's on sale definitely get it. TV has never sounded so good.

Cons: none.

3 out of 5 eggsMissing internal magnets for cover

Pros: Awesome speaker, have matching WF35 pair

Cons: Was missing the internal magnets that allow for the speaker cover to attach to front of speaker. Verified with spare magnet and one of my wf35's. Very strange QC issue, but not an easy fix. So hopefully RMA gives me a good replacement. Out $20 for shipping, not too happy about that. But not a NewEgg issue.

Other Thoughts: Still awesome speaker line for the price, finish is really nice and goes well with rooms with hardwood floors or furniture.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat speaker

Pros: This is my first Klipsch speaker to own. I am hearing sound now that I was missing. Now I would like to buy other Klipsch speakers that would fill out my 7.1 system. The Cabinets had the best finich I have seen on any speaker.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I am now hooked on Klipsch speakers. They are an excellent value for your money. Thanks, Newegg for the good pricing.

5 out of 5 eggsWoW

Pros: I followed "speck55" example and purchased the WB-14's, and the WC-24 as the center speaker for my 7.1 set-up. This center speaker is absolutly the speaker to buy. Thanks Newegg for offering this product at such a great price.

P.S. I use 110Hz for my crossover point with my sub.

Cons: Zero

Other Thoughts: Purchased from Newegg:
KLIPSCH
(4)WB-14's, Fronts, Side, Rear
(1) WC-24, Center
(1) RW-12d, Sub-Woofer

(1) Pioneer VSX-1121-k AVR, 110 watts @ 8 ohms.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent, Compact Center

Pros: I mated these with the RB-14's all around, and the soundstage is powerful and amazingly rich for the small drivers involved in the setup. Dialog is crisp, rich, and well-imaged (meaning sounds "appear" to come from where they are supposed to. Finish is impeccable - this is truly as they claim a furniture grade finish. Replaced my large floorstander Klipsch References and much larger Klipsch Reference Center with this, and letting my subs do more of the bass work. This center is much less directional than the reference series, meaning you don't need to be directly in front of it to be in the "sweet spot". There really isn't a bad seat in the house now, and the transition from Left to Center to Right is seamless, and having all channels matched makes all the difference.

Cons: I would definitely recommend using these with a sub and crossing over at about 120hz. They do bass OK for their driver size, but I would not send full range to them at any high volume. Not really a con, just the nature of bookshelves/satellites.

Other Thoughts: Powered by my separate multichannel amp with plenty of power, these Icon W series sound very crisp with no distortion. If you are experiencing distortion, make sure you double check your crossover frequencies, and that you are sending them enough clean watts. Do not count on "peak" wattage. Count the RMS wattage.
