Am I going to need a cord for this particular computer? or does it have wifi built in?

It has built in wifi, and work very well. Had a booster my previous computer to help get better signal strength. This one has no problems and is screaming fast, no lag or dither.

How do you open the case to add more RAM etc ??

there are two clips at the bottom of the back cover. take off the back cover. then the two screws on the right side. lay cpu on left side if looking at it from the back. pull handle and slide the right cover off..
note. i had to remove the fan to put the gskill in. put the fan back on and put everything back.

How good is the airflow on this rig? i saw a video that Linus did and it only had one fan mounted in the back

The fan mounted on the back is a variable speed fan, 840 rpm to 2500 rpm. This is also true for the CPU fan. it varies from 1400 rpm to 5125 rpm....

"Example CPU clock in Turbo mode 4320 Mhz CPU temp is 39C, Cabin temp is 34C, CPU fan speed is 5150 rpm and System fan is 2528" That is extremly cool......with the fans in full speed mode you can hear them and in standard mode you can't.

I would like to know what the motherboard is in this pc?  Lots of info on the processor but nothing about the motherboard.

Hi, Good luck I couldn't find it either, all I can see on motherboard is MSI 970 Gaming. If you get this be advised everytime I used the corded mouse I got a static charge on the mouse wheel ,I fixed this by running a ground wire from the case to a ground, you don't get a shock if you have a cordless mouse. Also you cannot do a crossfire in this rig, for the price I couldn't believe it. It does outstanding running Armored Warfare and other games.

Still do not know. I'm going to call Acer and ask so I can add RAM. Call anonymously so they don't void the warranty.
