1 out of 5 eggsUnhappy Owner

Pros: Small and lightweight

Cons: Purchased this in July 2011 and it did not even last 7 months. Won't power up or do anything. Acer Warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. Paid $25.00 to send it back and they returned it without even looking at it with some lame excuse.

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your money.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Started out fine.

Cons: Freezes up with regularity. Hard drive crashing? Overheating due to location behind optical drive? The "green" fan speed seemed slow so I increased the speed but it's noisy now and only delays the freezing.

Other Thoughts: Not at all happy with this computer, thought a smaller desktop would meet my needs over the laptop I'm using for this review. I'm going back to a DELL.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat HTPC base

Pros: Small, runs cool, 80+ power supply, low price, wifi

Cons: Power LED is a little too bright, dvd drive button is a bit awkward to press (you have to hit it in the center, with a bit more force than youd think is necessary)

Other Thoughts: Buy it if you need a core i3 machine- handles 1080p great and will be adding a bluray drive soon (if you're hooking up to a TV make sure to change your overscan settings)

5 out of 5 eggsVery efficient PC

Pros: Lean, mean fight'n machine. Very fast performance, flawless operation. Slim and quiet. Good graphics and sound. Great bang for the buck.

Cons: Adequate wired keyboard and mouse, no speakers. Not sure how well the CD drive drawer will hold up, seems a bit on the light/cheap side.

Other Thoughts: This slim Acer PC was a very pleasant surprise. Two days for it to arrive from NewEgg. with free ship. Everything worked flawlessly right out the box - found my wireless network and printer instantly. It is a real pleasure to work with. I came from XP but I 'm liking Win 7 a whole lot better. I paired it up with an Acer 21.5" monitor. This PC is FAST and quiet. My internet browsing even seems fast. Of course almost 1 Gb of Microsoft updates needed to be applied. I'm using System Mechanic 10 and Norton Internet Security to keep it humming along. Both apps work perfectly with Win 7.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent computer

Pros: Arrived in very good condition
Worked perfectly out of the box
Excellent value for the money

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This little machine is a very good computer. The specs are extremely good for the price, and I'm glad I got this one. A word of caution to those who may purchase: remember that the case this comes in is very small, so if you plan on adding a graphics card or whatever, you'll need to either find a low-profile card (which is difficult) or buy a new bigger case. This is not a con because it's meant to be this way, but if you've never owned a slimline case you might be taken by surprise.

5 out of 5 eggsPreety Nice - so far

Pros: Small form factor is nice.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Just a few facts on set-up - I've only had this for a few days so I can't really judge its performance, I'll save that for later.

Of course, one of the first things I did before installing any hardware, software, old photos, documents, etc was burn the recovery discs. It took roughly an hour and 5 DVD's - 4 for the recovery discs and one for the Apps & Drivers.

The fan is very quiet, not anywhere like the buzzing and whirring of my old machine - YAY! It came with 3 months free McAfee security and altho I have never used the McAfee product before I'll give it a try before installing anything different.

When I attached my printer and scanner, it located and downloaded the drivers and software as soon as I plugged them in. Likewise for my wireless keyboard and mouse and back-up HDD. 11 USB ports is nice!

As others have noted there is "bunches" of bloatware that can stand to be deleted but I think that's pretty much standard with any new machine from any manufacturer.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Pleased

Pros: Price. Memory.Hard Drive Capacity. Wi-Fi.To name just a few.

Cons: Limited potential to upgrade, but that's not really a con since it has just about anything you would want.

Other Thoughts: This has to be the biggest bang for the buck out there. I have been using LOT's of ACER products for over a decade and can count problems on one hand. I read about people getting a dud from time to time, but it has never happened to me.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat value, built in wireless a huge plus

Pros: This machine has the latest intel processor, lots of memory, big hard drive, great price point and a small footprint. The inclusion of built in wireless is a huge score for Acer as this makes setting it up as easy as a laptop. This feature alone sold me on buying it over similar machines. Was very quiet too.

The HDMI video connection will also send audio so if you have a monitor with built in speakers so there is only one wire.

Bought this machine for my parents and I think they will be very happy with it. I wanted to keep it for myself.

Cons: The keyboard feels cheap, but at least it's usb.

Doesn't come with an HDMI cable and most monitors don't either so you will need an additional dvi converter or a cable.

Other Thoughts: To the person who had to RMA because he couldn't get a video signal. This machine has an HDMI output to the monitor. By default monitors are usually set to the vga input and you have to manually change the source to the correct input. I have had this problem before and it is very frustrating to figure out. My guess is that this is what happened to him.

5 out of 5 eggsNice for Price

Pros: I've been looking for a new PC for several months and wanted the newer Intel Core i3 chip but a bargain price. Found it in this package. Best deal out there right now. Had it over two weeks with no issues.

Cons: If you plan to do hardware upgrades you may want something else, but for non gaming use this is a great deal.
