Is the Acer AM3470-UR12 compatable with: Windows XP IDE hard drives or IDE controller cards SATA 1 hard drives?

Seth, I'm not real sure wether or not this system is compatible with Win XP, but Win 8 is actually a very nice o/s, once u learn it. As far as Sata, it does come with a pre-loaded 500gb sata hatd drive. Hope this answers ur questions.....
