5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: Great value(I think), fast,Phenom x3 processor, integrated graphics are mostly great,No driver problems(what are mac vista haters talking about. my 6 year old printer installed itself in about 10 seconds. faster than on my XP), mostly upgrade friendly, No serious issues thus far...

4 GB of RAM
64-bit OS=Win :D

Cons: Vista (not the worst, give it time), 1 case fan, weak 300w power supply, integrated graphics are great but only are truly useful on games up to spore's requirements or less,

Capacitor/transistor "thingy" seems like it may be in the way of a longer graphics card but other reviews say installation of 880gts was possible so I guess not...

Other Thoughts: Ordered an Antec EA650 and an MSI 9800GT from Newegg for $200 in total. Should be able to play most if not all current games on my standard screen ratio (1280 x 1024) at medium to high settings. Overall recommended for gaming if your willing to spend just a little extra dough. Buy it or regret your decision forever! Thank you Gateway and Newegg. Oh and "American Furniture"

5 out of 5 eggsGood Purchase!

Pros: Nice sturdy case with plenty of room; good quality keyboard (with built-in wrist rest) and mouse; top of the line on-board Radeon HD 3200 video; fast triple-core processor; plenty of RAM; big hard drive.

Cons: Speakers are typical packaged ones: good mid-range, okay highs, no bass; on-board video still a weak point for high-end games (Windows Experience Index gave scores of 5.2 for processor, 5.9 for memory, 5.9 for hard drive ... and 4.0 for both graphics and gaming graphics).

Other Thoughts: Bought on August 4th 2008 and has run flawlessly since then. I use it as a general home computer and SETI@home cruncher. I definitely recommend this computer to others - it's a great choice.

4 out of 5 eggsVery Happy So Far

Pros: Installed Vista 64 bit with no issues, recognized my add on old IDE Disk Drives seamlessly. I was surprised on how well my old software applications installed and runs with no problems.

Cons: Bad keyboard keys, I have 4 keys that don't work, tried to re-load the keyboard driver, but no joy. My son's Gateway keyboard works fine with this PC. Gateway after a few emails did give in and agreed to ship me a new keyboard...its been two days, so hopefully it'll arrive soon.

Other Thoughts: Vista is taking me awhile to get used to, but I do think it has been an improvement...please don't shoot me for saying that. :-)

5 out of 5 eggsA great well-rounded PC; upgrade-friendly

Pros: Comes with 4 GB RAM; triple-core processor will keep you speedy for a long while. The triple-core processor is sort of an "odd duck" as most processors are dual or quad core... but it runs like greased lightning so no complaints here!

You can turn this into a respectable gaming rig by simply adding a good graphics card. I saw this as a more cost-effective alternative to building my own gaming PC.

Cons: I forget if Gateway put a lot of add-in software on the Vista install, but I don't think they did- nothing you can't remove anyway. Oh- the drive bays are tricky to get into if you want to add another DVD drive to it. There, I found something to pick at- now go buy it.

Other Thoughts: Even Vista has a hard time slowing this machine down. I put the AMD64 version of Ubuntu and Debian linux on this thing, and they run obscenely fast. If using the PC for Linux, use a new or recent distro release as the on-board hardware is very new and not supported well. Oh, and get an Nvidia graphics card (but if you run Linux you already know that).

4 out of 5 eggsCorrection!

Pros: Still an awesome computer from my last review a few days ago so that's good :)

Cons: Something came up that I figured I had to bring up, it turns out my system's locking up had nothing to do with crysis; it locked up while listening to music and checking out parts on IE... interesting.... It's weird but other than a quick restart once in a while, the computer's running great. I would return it but I ripped the QA sticker off opening the case right away to get the GPU in.

Other Thoughts: Saved over a hundred bucks in shipping buying it at (not so) bad buy this time around. Probably the one and only time i'll ever buy a computer there too, but whatever, I actually saved money shopping outside of newegg for once(in 5 years)

5 out of 5 eggsI'm convinced

Pros: For the price you pay, this thing is absolutely awesome. 8450x3, 4Gb RAM, descent layout, 500Gb HDD, Vista Home Premium SP1 64bit, slick case.... Pair it up with a new PSU, and a good graphics card and you're off to the games. I ran Crysis at 1360x768 and medium settings with ~50-60fps.... that's freakin rockin'.

Cons: Power supply on mine was too weak to power my Zotac 8800GTS 640Mb; a Rosewill 585W fixed that up real quick. Crysis tends to lock up my system but I think it's my copy of the game, I have heard of people with lesser systems not having this so I'm sure it's not the PC's fault.

Other Thoughts: I got this because I was too impatient to save up 3 weeks pay and break the bank to finally get another computer after waiting 3 months. Honestly for what I'm getting I'm very happy for what I've recieved and can't wait to build it up to a 'Monster Gateway.' I didn't buy it at Newegg, but it's still the same computer and man is it a good one. I prefer to build but this time I couldn't help but buy :)

5 out of 5 eggsGateway to Computers

Pros: This computer is probably one of the cheapest for the amount of power it has. For a tri-core processor with an onboard 512 MB video card and 4 gigs of ram you can't beat this price. the 500 GB hard driver is nice as well. So far I have used this computer for gaming and casual use and I Am impressed with the speed and compatibility of everything that I had on my old computer. I think for a 64 bit processor at this price it is a must buy!

Cons: I hate windows Vista.... Other than that its great, not that the computer suffers from vista just that I hate the OS :)

Other Thoughts: Well, as I said a 64 bit tri-core processor at 2.1 ghz is nice at this price. I plan on putting a 1GB video card in this thing since its got slots out the ying-yang. I highly recommend this as a new desktop if your into gaming, I can play most games completely maxed out and suffer no frame loss. Great buy for a gamer that doesn't want to spend 3000 dollars on a system just for the name!

5 out of 5 eggsO_O

Pros: this computer is great. absolutely great. you cant go wrong. the 4gigs of RAM sure makes it way easy to multitask the heck out of your computer. the 500g hard drive is wonderful. vista looks great, works good. its nice and quiet. the triple core processing comes in handy. i use this for gaming and it runs like a dream. i definitely recommend this computer to anyone looking for great performance with a nice price tag.

Cons: vista. i had trouble with a game i play. it clashed with something in vista OS and it shutdown my game but after i got the support files for my game it works perfectly.

Other Thoughts: GET THIS........ NOW!
xD
