Is this a Dell 960 MT, DT or SFF?

I'm unsure if they have updated the description to properly describe what is being sold.  When I purchased (2) in August, the SFF was part of the product descrip. and in the technical specs.  Upon receipt, it was clear that they were full size, desktop PCs, not SFF as promised.

Question 2

The picture shows mini tower but the description show sff. Which is it?

The machine I bought was a standard tower. However, it would not boot up. I called New Egg and they said they would replace it. I returned the machine, and after a couple of weeks I received a refund check instead of a replacement CPU.

Was this computer detailed from a refurbishing company?

Detailed? If you are asking if they look great, they don't. I purchased 60 of these computers. Most were decent but some look like survived fire and war. I had a couple that looked so awful that I did not dare to deploy them to users but just keep them for parts. 
However, so far I have only two with performance issues. actually they dead computers. 
 If you do get them and do a clean installation, make sure to use the latest and the right Dell video drive. Otherwise, the Windows driver and the older Dell versions will cause the computer to shutdown suddenly when you use any Internet browser with flash running.

Does this system support RAID 1?

I think so?  I haven't tried it.  Google searching "DELL OptiPlex Core 2 Duo 2GB 160GB HDD Capacity Desktop PC Windows 7 Home Premium 960T." gives you the techspec manual and it says yes in there.

Overall, I'm really super pleased with it - good machine, great price.. windows 7!

will it take windows 8 upgrade?

I re-installed Windows 7 on it so I cannot say with 100% certainty, but I see no reason it would not.  It has enough power to do it, I run windows 8 on lower-spec computers.

I think the only uncertainty to possibly worry about are the video drivers.  If you cannot get good windows 8 drivers, you may have to get a different video card or something like that.  It also depends on what you intend to use the computer for.  If you do use graphics-intensive apps, then it may not matter too much.

Does it have a wireless card built in for internet?

The description states this is a Desktop PC but in the details it says its a Small Form Factor (SFF) PC. Can anyone confirm which one it is?

i guess you could class it into SSF it looks like it uses a micro atx style motherboard and its is smaller then my optiplex GX280 dell i have hope that helped

If this computer does not come with an OS disk does it come with a recovery partition?

No it doesn't but we did install win 7 pro 64 over the win 7 home premium. The disc is a fresh install so  you should be able to set up your own recovery partition.

Is this a 64 bit version of windows 7?

Mine came preloaded with 64-bit. :D That said, the license key has not been used, so you could install the 32-bit version and activate the key with that, or vice-versa.

For instance, I ordered an OptiPlex 760 from Newegg and it came to me with 32-bit Windows 7 installed. Yuck. So I popped in a Windows 7 64-bit install disc and whammo. Activates just fine 32 or 64 as long as it's the same type as the key (Home Premium, Basic, Professional, or Ultimate).

If you do install clean from a disc, go to http://dell.to/1bF2jRd (link to Dell's support) and just enter your service tag # (on top or back of a Dell PC) and you will get ALL the downloads available for your PC (ie drivers).
