4 out of 5 eggsWorked till it was paid off. Um

Pros: Worked great for a year or so. June 2011 til July 2012. 90 day warrranty it came with. Bought an extended 1 year for 59.00 when I purchased this. Good thing I did. August 14 2012 had MB Replaced Ran till August 23.2012. Now the hard drive is going south Blue screens. Random dumps. Turns on when in sleep mode Won't start in safe or any mode Crashes when it feels like it Start up repair doesn't help. Hell it'll crash in the middle of that

Cons: See Pros Sorry,

Other Thoughts: I will never ever buy another Recertified anything of Newegg. I know better know Good thing this took a dump now My warrantys up Sept 3,2012 No more recertified and rebuilt junk from Newegg

1 out of 5 eggsDisapointment

Pros: I ordered this machine to do vmedia editing for my church. At the time of the the order we were just doing audio and posting to our website with the idea we would start video in the future. I did not know much about the requirements we would need but seeing this machine as a "GAMER" I figured it would work fine. WRONG!! This machine will barely run Premiere Pro Editing software. I regret ever buying this machine. :(

Cons: CPU slow, Power supply to small, cheap graphics card

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Value.

Pros: Great guts for the bucks.

CPU - Benchmarks great. Watch out however nothing properly uses more then 4 cores so for gaming. You're really only getting 2.6 4x.

RAM - Cant go wrong with 8 Gigs

Big Hard Drive

Overall the components are mid grade.

4 Easy access USB ports.

Easy access expandable/removable memory slots.

Hey the mouse and keyboard are ACTUALLY DECENT!

Cons: Video Card is outdated but does the job.

Power Supply is weak, it must be your first upgrade like ASAP. The thing hardly runs on 300Watts.

Narrow Case, makes it hard to install any after market case fans/radiators.

Hard Drive is SLOW!

No Overclocking support on MOBO, therefore you need a new win7 version to flash A/M Bios. Kind of a let down there.

The stock cpu fan is NOISY! Buy a new one.

Other Thoughts: Biggest let down is no overclocking support. Its kind of sad its advertised as a gaming system and I cant overclock without re-buying windows.

Aside from that it does the trick runs almost anything you want reasonably well. Your upgrade order should be.

Power Supply->
Any expandable device (Wireless or extra Hd ect.) ->
Video Card ->
New Windows ->
Mobo(Flash A/M bios or get a new mobo) ->
HD (SSD would be best for system speed 60-100gbs is sufficient) ->
Better cooling.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: The overall value of the computer.
This computer has everything you could want in a price that is unbeatable.
It's performance.
This machine can do anything you ask of it right out of the box. Dozens of PDFs, hundreds of 18mp in Photoshop, Battlefield 3 at its max resolution, multiple instances of your favorite MMO, anything.
Lots of complaints about the Power supply but the one i got seems to have an upgrade.

Cons: In order of Severity.
The Case.
No case fan. I bought 2x 120, in the front out the back. There is little airflow in, only tiny front vent on the underside of the case. The problem with the rear fan is it gets its air from the excessive side ventilation! Absolutely zero vacuum action. I closed the vast majority of the side, and attached an air duct to the stock cpu cooler. This forces the out fan to suck hot air from within, and the cpu gets cool air from outside.
The CPU
It's the low end x6. I am going to replace it with the black edition once the am3+ drives down am3. Bringing you from 2.6 to ~4.
The Ram
8GB of ram takes up all 4. Already replaced it with 16gb of Mushkin Silverline
The Motherboard
Voids your windows when flashed to the retail version of the mobo to allow overclocking. I cannot confirm this, I will only be overclocking the black when i get it.
The Graphics Card
Slightly dated, preforms great
Only leaves a pci e 4 and 1 pci open i used the pcie4 f

Other Thoughts: So far after i bought this computer i spent.
15 on case fans (i got white LED to match the asus logo)
15 on a ram fan (just because it's cool)
50 on 4x4GB Mushkin Silverline
15 on a stellar wifi card i cant recall
50 on 2x 9Db Asus antennas for wifi nic.
2 on cpu duct.
170 on 23" Asus 1080p monitor on hdmi

4 out of 5 eggsGREAT!

Pros: worked great right out of the box, Phenom II x6 processor, Decent video card (runs BF3 at ultra, and Elder scrolls V: Skyrim at high) 8 gigs RAM!

Cons: Power supply is a tad bit on the weak side, case has no fans which is a big con for this PC for ASUS I mean why would you put these two things in such a BEAST of a PC?

4 out of 5 eggsGood overall value, can't overclock easily

Pros: Fast machine, 6 Core, 8MB DDR3, supports 16MB, 1GB LAN, Radeon video, tons of USB ports, Windows7 included, great bang for the buck at $499.

Cons: BIOS has overclocking control removed vs retail version of motherboard. Reflashing retail BIOS will void OEM Windows 7 authorization.
Constant annoying humming through speakers.
Keyboard is beyond terrible, junk it.
8MB DDR3 is 4 x 2MB, not 2 x 4MB, it will cost more to upgrade to 16MB this way.

Other Thoughts: 1TB Disk is limiting factor on Windows7 performance test, all other metrics rate very well.
Although motherboard will support upgrade to Phenom II 1100T 6 Core Black Edition, no way to overclock using BIOS control. AMD Overdrive will overclock the 2.6GHz 1035T approximately 12% before crashing.

2 out of 5 eggsdisappointed

Pros: The machine was quite and fast. The price was very good. I would say a good $200 less than building yourself. I ran Bently InRoads (3D highway modeling program) and other processer intense programs and the machine performed well. Maybe a bit better than I expected. I liked the case setup as well.

Cons: The first time I recieved the machine any heavy computing would shut it down. Installing a program, running multiple programs, or other such activity would force a lockup and then a shutdown. ASUS worked on the machine and told me it have a bad memory stick and the CPU need replaced as well. I recieved the machine back and it worked great for 2 days. Then the display wouldn't come activate. I tried reseating it and reseting the power plug to no avail. I had a leftover card from the last PC I had and it would work. However I couldn't get the other card to work. I use the machine more for work than play so I need a reliable machine. I just don't trust this box. I could not recommend that somewone buy it.

Other Thoughts: Newegg and Asus costomer service was great. I got a live rep quickly, they listened, and resolved my issues as best they can. It's just a shame, I wanted to save time so I bought a preassebled box. I could have just built my own machine if I would have known I would have spent 16+ hours trying to fix / talking to costomer support.
