Still Waiting
- Pros: Packed well in box :) just to give a pro
- Cons: 1. nothing was connected inside rig, and I mean nothing
2. Before anyone asks, not only did i update the drivers from the software provided, i also updated at the nvidia website.
2. Video card does not function, getting a black screen
everytime we attempt to play an application (WOW fail, Crises fail. Common in these cards if ound out later.
- Other Thoughts: 1.Contacted newegg who told me to contact manufacturer
2. Ibuypower gave me 2 choices RMA video card to them or send uit back to Newegg.
3. New egg told me I had 30 days to decide, this is where i found out I could not get my money back, only replace the unit.
4. Went with the RMA the video card.
5. 3 weeks have passed still no replacement card and when I called last they said it was still on backorder.
6. So here I am no original card to send the unit back to newegg and ibupower said it might be acouple more weeks, so will not be able to return unit after that time.
7. additionally, found out that this card the GTX 285 has a history of this blackscreening problem, and ibuypower states this is the first time they have ever heard about.
8. I was a frequent shopper at newegg before this incident, please read the find print before you buy a computer, no return of money.
9. one more item, found out a buddy of mine RMAd this card 3 times before he got one that worked.
AMAZING COMPUTER
- Pros: Very good computer. A lot of space inside. This thing runs games like Fallout 3 and Oblivion like butter. I have never seen such smooth fps for such a great price. High regards newegg. I recommend this computer to anyone who wants to play games.
- Cons: This thing is 56 lbs. of metal. Don' think this is a normal sized computer this is a beast. It is all worth it though if you want to play games for a good price.
- Other Thoughts: I got a Coolmaster V8 with this and once I install it tonight or tomarrow it will bring the temp down even more.
Awesome Computer
- Pros: For the money this is a very fast computer. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it when I received and setup was simple. I basically turned it on and it was ready to go. It plays pretty much every game that I have played on it (WoW, Bioshock, CS Source, Crysis and a few others) perfectly and mostly at maxed settings. The case is HUGE, which is a plus for me but if you are looking for more of a form factor rig, I might recommend something else. There are plenty of expansion bays and everything runs very quietly considering it is air cooled with several very large fans. I haven't had any over heating problems, but I also haven't overclocked anything as of yet. There are plenty of USB ports on both the front and back.
- Cons: The mother board is maxed on memory (Im not sure if this is a mobo or chipset limitation), but 8 gigs is plenty enough for me and probably will be for a while. Also the power cord was only 3 or 4 feet long, but I just bought a longer one for 10 bucks so it was no big deal.
- Other Thoughts: Very good rig that can't be beat for the price.
