- Pros: Best bang for your buck! Mine was well put together, this thing is fast. Only had for about a week but so far I am very pleased with what I got for my money. I liked the packing of the PC, the inside foam/bag was a good idea.
- Cons: Mouse has something rattling around inside it, but it still works fine. Foam/Bag packing inside caused the DVD and HD to become disconnected. But this was very minor and I always check all connections before appling power.
Disappointed
- Pros: Really good specs on paper, FAST shipping from NewEgg (I got it the next day!), relatively low setup, no bloatware.
- Cons: Ran the system for 3 hours before a blue screen came up. The computer began rebooting into Windows, blue screening immediately, and rebooting immediately- over and over again. I reinstalled Vista (after 2 blue screens during installation) and after a little bit it started blue screening again. I RMAed it (they wanted me to pay for shipping, but I talked to their RMA manager and they comped my shipping because it was basically DOA) and now I'm waiting for results. RMA has been painless but I'm anxious to see results. They got it last week and it's been 7 days before they began diagnostics.
- Other Thoughts: When something doesn't work out of the box it's soo disappointing. I was mentally prepared for an RMA, luckily. If you get a good one, it'll be worth it.
I'll update this review once it comes back from the shop.
Many problems
- Pros: Very high specs on paper, when they work.
- Cons: This machine was shipped to me and when it arrived there were several cords disconnected due to the tight wiring of the machine.
After fixing the wiring problems and installing my new fans due to the massive amount of heat the machine gives off, the computer then shut down and would not boot back up. I was told it was a problem with the mother board and would have to send it in for repairs.
After spending $60 to ship the machine back to Ibuypower and waiting 3 weeks, my machine arrived back at home. I anxiously booted the computer up to find that the same exact problem existed, even after replugging the disconnected wires.
Calling the company today, they're making me send the computer back to California which takes 3 to 4 days, wait 5-10 business days on the repairs, then 3 more days for them to send it back again. My hopes aren't very high that it will be fixed when it returns.
- Other Thoughts: The warranty on the computer through Newegg only allows for a 30 day return. By the time I had finally decided I want to return it to Newegg after not being repaired, it was too late to return and am stuck with the computer now and have to hope that the company will fix the problem.
