5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Seems to be a fairly fast computer out of the box ready to go. Once it was up and running it has worked great. Plays the lastest games with pretty much ease.

Cons: Had an issue with the hard drive power plugin. The hard drive would not power up, so, no boot. The power supply from the factory is basically junk to start with.

Other Thoughts: The support from the company was great on helping figure out the power issue to the hard drive.

1 out of 5 eggsHard drive issue explained

Pros: Everything except the hard drive/assembly

Cons: Due to hard drive mounting placement and tightness of right side panel, almost every hard drive is damaged during assembly and shipping. Audio ports are not configured properly, i.e., plugging headphones in front does not disable speakers.

Other Thoughts: As mentioned in multiple posts, this machine had major hard drive problems. The cause is that pressure against the sata and power cables breaks the receptor plate on the bottom of the hard drive. I have lived with it for a couple of months by clamping the hard drive plate; however, it continues to chirp occasionally and corrupt files. Just bought a new SSD from newegg and expect my problems to disappear.

3 out of 5 eggsMEH

Pros: Solid machine capable of running Planetside 2 pretty well

Cons: Had problems with hardware on day 1. Called newegg to replace but the afternoon of the call I thought I had fixed it with a reformat. About a month later the problem came back so I called cyberpower (newegg return policy ended) Cyberpower didn't call or email me back for 2 days, so I called again. The tech support was poor. He didn't diagnose any problems or care to hear any of the extensive error reports or diagnostic steps I took. He had me send the hdd in and when I got it back the problem persisted. Called and emailed them again, same deal. had to call a second time. Now they're having me send the whole machine in. After 7 reformats and about 1 month out of the last 3 not being able to use my 800$ computer I get to pay to ship it.. again... so they can maybe fix it for real this time.

Other Thoughts: wtb: customer service. (from cyberpower, newegg was boss. cyber was fail.)

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We do apologize for any issues you may have. Cyberpower will always stand behind their products, so please allow us the opportunity to address any issues. Please email your name and contact information to Cyber_tech2@cyberpowerpc.

1 out of 5 eggsAwful customer service, failed OS, very unhappy.

Pros: I worked for about two months.

Cons: After said two months, the OS just failed on me, and now I'll I can get to is system repair. I've tried every number people have givin to me, but I got was someone who barley speaks English. I'm very unhappy, I'm never buying from newegg again. I called neweggs number and all they told me to do was call CyberpowerPC. Waste of $800.

Other Thoughts: I'm writing this on my mums laptop. And they never sent me the OS disk..

2 out of 5 eggsBlue screening..

Pros: I bought this PC and if worked fine for the first few weeks.

Cons: It started having weird problems after about a month into buying it. I've tried everything. I believe it's the OS, but I'm not a computer tech. It's blue-screening, and I can start windows automatic repair, but system restore doesn't do anything. I at the moment I'm very unhappy. :/

4 out of 5 eggsGREAT Value

Pros: This computer is strong in almost every category and is no doubt a steal at the right price. With the right settings, it can play games between 60 and 120 fps, which is very good for my standards. As far as maintenance, there is almost no real 'building' out of the box. Mouse is very nice, as well as the keyboard.

Cons: There is only one major problem with this computer: graphics card. Once you get a proper video card such as an Nvidia 660, or an AMD Radeon HD 7800 series video card, the graphics will be unleashed to the next level. Although I did say it can run games between 60 and 120 fps, that is with settings that will yield that many frames. No antialising is used to a high-end's standard, and lighting and shadow effects often have to be toned down. There was some maintenance out of the box, because I had to switch the SATA cable for the reason that Windows was not installed onto the system, but once I switched the SATA cables, it was running smoothly.

Other Thoughts: Windows 8 is not as hard to figure out as others say, give the OS a chance, look up some tutorials, and you'll love it. Although there some weaknesses, the upside to this computer is tremendous. If you want to start PC gaming, BUY THIS COMPUTER.

2 out of 5 eggsAwesome machine, when it runs...

Pros: Overall I'm very impressed with performance of this PC, I run Farcry 3 and Battlefield 3 on max settings flawlessly, it handles my 3D modeling software no problem, and even though it doesn't have an SSD, it's super fast. Windows 8 takes a little getting used to, but the more I use it the more I like it. The case is cool with plenty of room for expansion, hard drives, optical drives, ssd, water cooling and more fans. The red LED's on the front are a nice touch.

Cons: Here's the bad part, I bought the pc on a black friday sale, so I've only had it for almost 2 months. Out of the box when I got it, it wouldn't boot like several other reviewers have said. I played with the hard drive connections and ended up moving to a different power cable and that took care of it.

I got it up and running, updated, activated, etc. and enjoyed the heck out of it for the first couple weeks. At that point, after playing farcry 3 for an hour or so, when I shut down for bed I got a critical drive error. Windows asked to reboot to automatically repair it. After doing so, my windows defender didn't work. I attempted a few fixes with no luck, ended up attempting a system restore, which failed and I had to completely reset the OS, causing me to lose everything on the HD. When it was finished, however, and I reupdated, reinstalled, and got it back to where I wanted it, it appeared to be good to go.

Today is about a week after the first time I reset the OS, last night a friend was playing Battlefield 3, they got up for a second and when they got back, it was just a black screen. Rebooting gave me the Windows loading screen, then back to the black screen, not even a login.

So that's where I'm at today, I've attempted to flash and update the BIOS in case of a compatability problem with no luck, and I'm currently resetting the OS for the second time in a week in the hopes of taking care of the problem, and waiting for an e-mail from cyberpower's tech support. It is sunday, so I will hopefully hear from them tomorrow.

Other Thoughts: I bought this PC with the intention of upgrading as I go later on, but I haven't been able to keep it running properly as is, considering the price, the specs are pretty good, adding a high end graphics card and SSD will make this an awesome system. The motherboard isn't great, but for a dedicated gaming PC it will be fine, it does have basic overclock capability, though I haven't messed with that much (I want to add a liquid cooler first). It is a decent starting point, but I do wonder if I would have had as many problems if I had just built from scratch. I know I would have spent more money.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Mid-level Machine

Pros: Cheap for it's specifications.

It comes pretty fast out of the box and there is a lot of room for upgrades. The MB has lots of extra ports and the Power supply could support dual graphics cards.

Cons: Hard drive was DOA but another was sent within a week and works fine. The hard drive is the slowest part of this machine.

Other Thoughts: Overall a good buy. It's a lot of power for the price. Investing in an SSD or perhaps a second Radeon HD 7750 are both good options for this machine.

5 out of 5 eggsFast, Efficient, Great Value!

Pros: Quick Boot, Fast Processor, Plug and Play, Windows 8, No unnecessary added sofware by manufacturer

Cons: No Wifi

Other Thoughts: Package arrived quickly. Just plug and play, no other unnecessary software by manufacturer. Windows 8 was challenging at first but once you get used to it, it was ok. Encountered about 2 sudden restarts while using the computer and one BSOD, but never happened again. I plugged in a USB Wifi adapter since this has no built in wifi. I would be upgrading the Memory to 32GB, and probably Blu-ray drive soon. I am using a 22in Samsung 1080p LEDTV, with HDMI cable, TV speakers worked, I don't have to buy another set of speakers. I am playing Diablo III, runs smoothly at Max Settings. App switching works smoothly. I have plenty more of space even if I transferred all my photos in this PC, I also have a 1TB external HD attached to the USB 3.0, no problems so far. Keyboard and mouse works perfectly but I would be replacing them soon because I want a keyboard with backlit keys. I have Microsoft Office 2010 installed, works really fast, minimal wait time when opening files.

No complaints so far... especially when I got this for a lot lesser price pre-Thanksgiving... =)
