4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I purchased this PC to replace my old quad core desktop. I recently started playing Wildstar and the old unit could not keep up with the graphics. The new Cyberpower PC has no such problem. So far nothing that I have tried has lagged from processor speed. Based on the specs, this PC should not have any issues handling four the next four years (I'm basing this on previous PC purchases).

The case has an unique design. You can see from the screenshots that there are two fans on the side of the case. Where the fans are located there are holes in the case to allow airflow. What I did not notice when ordering was there are also holes in the top of the case as well. Between the fans in the side and rear of the case and the holes in the top of the case there is above average airflow for cooling the video card and motherboard (the two side fans are positioned just above and below the video card slot).

The video card has a HDMI output as well as a connection for a HD monitor. If you have a HD TV that can support the video card the PC can be connected easily for a larger viewing area. Using a new 32 inch 1080p HD TV with games has the great display speed as my 19 inch monitor.

Cons: One issue that you may have with this PC is the side fans. In mine they were not connected when I received the PC. The reason they were not connected was that the wires to the video card are very close to the side of the case. These wires were zip-tied together and could not be moved far. The end of the zip-tie was blocking the bottom fan from moving so they did not connect the fans (I read a review from someone on their support site who had a similar issue).

This was not a difficult issue to fix. I used a pair of sharp scissors to cut the zip-tie around the wires allowing them to be moved. Then I connected the fan wires to the two connections at the base of the case to power them. After they were connected, I moved the wire to the video card in between the two fan units and put the side of the case back on. No tools are required to remove the side of the case as the case screws can be adjusted by hand.

One other possible con is that with the increased airflow due to the case holes you will need to be more careful than normal about dust build up in the case since it will be much easier to get inside. I would recommend covering the PC when not in use.

Other Thoughts: Although these are not positive or negative, you may have to deal with a couple other issues with this PC. After the initial set up of the PC, windows 8 will want you to activate the PC. The activation key will be attached to the side of the computer case.

One other thing is since this PC has a very good video card, you need a display unit that can handle it. I have not had an issue with an older HP 2009m HD monitor, but my old HD TV could not handle the graphics while playing Wildstar and caused the graphics driver to crash (I purchased a new 1080p 120 Hz HD TV and have not had this issue). If you have this issue, it is not a problem with your computer (you need a better display unit).
