5 out of 5 eggsIt Is Good

Pros: Good PC for normal office work or home use, I have purchased several of these for clients and they all perform well. The three year warranty and windows 7 Pro is an excellent selling tool.

Cons: Originally this PC had a different Motherboard, with 4 DDR3 Ram Slots, and extra SATA ports and it was cheaper.
There is space for a second hard drive but no available SATA Port. Had to use a PCI Controller to add a Backup HDD.

HP Go back to the Original Board,

4 out of 5 eggsStandard Office Deployment

Pros: - W7 Pro: No need for a downgrade from W8 for those not putting their own image on it.
- SFF: Works well oriented horizontally or vertically.
- Nice specs for the price, including 4 logical cores and DDR3-1600.
- Corporate initiative requires me to buy HP. While I dislike being locked down like this, I've been impressed with their reliability.

Cons: - PS/2 Keyboard & Mouse: In this environment, I'd prefer USB connectors. They are more user-proof and give them the option to connect into the front.
- No VGA/DVI Cable
- No USB 3.0: More and more users are asking for it.
- Broadcom NIC: Although there's no real-world difference in performance and any benchmark comparisons are woefully dated, I prefer Intel NIC's.

Other Thoughts: Purchased two to outfit new hires in an office setting. They perform admirably. Unless a user is involved in sound/video editing or intensive data processing, it's hard to justify anything more powerful.
