1 out of 5 eggsNo support - Buyer beware

Pros: Large case - easy to add or replace fan

Cons: Didn't even last one month of regular use. Avatar has no support. Sent numerous emails still have not gotten any parts.

Other Thoughts: I contacted Avatar by email they have no phone number to call. They kept giving me the run around and I did not receive one package from them in 3 weeks. I ended up having to replace the fan (which turned out to be good, then the CD Rom drive and finally the hard drive. All total $200 and only because I had Windows disc already. The last email that I received said they would send out a fan but that my warranty would be out before I received it. I told them I was aware of that and had been trying to get this resolved for weeks. This computer was not used hardly at all the first 10 months and then after one month started making a grinding noise which we thought was the fan. This son was a gift for my 11 year old for getting straight A's all year. I waste of $700. Will never buy from them again.

2 out of 5 eggsUnclear component specifications

Pros: Inexpensive entry-level gaming PC. Cooler Master case with side window and fan perforations excellent. Power supply enclosed was 550W, not the 500W specified. Nicely wired with ties and tie-downs. Roomy case.

Cons: HDD is SATA3 but MB only handles SATA2. A single 8 GB ram chip from unknown manufacturer was enclosed (better to run DDR). The cpu fan was small coolermaster, not the AMD fan that normally comes with AMD processor. Did not cover the entire heat sink. Only case fan in front.

Other Thoughts: Builds from Newegg are more transparent with regards to component specifications. The image of video card I found for this machine was an XFX Ghost Radeon 7770, mine came with an MSI Radeon 7770. The 8 GB ram configuration was unclear. The HDD is SATA3 but limited by MB. If you really want to know what components are in your machine buy a Newegg build and stay away from these "third-party" builds. This is the first time I'm not satisfied with product from Newegg but it was somewhat my fault. I have an MSI970A-G46 MB with 2 x 4GB Corsair Vengance chips and a real AMD cpu fan to make sure it runs cool. The case ventilation is good and came with better wattage PS (although will check if it is bronze certified indeed)

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent mid ranged computer

Pros: Raedon 7770 is a very decent graphics card. much better than other graphics cards that I've seen at this price range.

Case is very spacious and there are several fan slots which leads to low case heat.

Bronze certified power supply. Huge pain in the REAR END (really neweg? I cant say Bu*t???)g to have to replace a component on day one because of it being a cheap manufacture cost saver.

Packaged well, mine came very much undead on arival.

Cons: Only one fan came pre-installed. Luckily in the most annoying spot to have to install a fan, however I would recommend buying at least one more fan. (cheap and easy to do)

Processor doesn't have the best reputation from what I've heard but it has worked well enough for me. Some newer games like Bioshock Infinite make me wish I opted for a better processor but this one handles games like LOL and DOTA with no problem at all.

Bronze Certified power supply is also a con in the notion that its 500W max makes this computer pricey to revamp. The power supply handles the specs just fine, but any considerable step up in CPU or GPU down the road would warrant a new, higher watt capacity power supply to be safe. If you don't plan on upgrading this thing, disregard everything you just read.

Other Thoughts: Can't go wrong with this computer if you are looking for a mid-ranged setup to play slightly older games and newer games on setting less that high.

Also, this goes without saying, but the complimentary keyboard and mouse are pretty POOPY (newegg wont let me say anything grrrrr)

5 out of 5 eggsBEST Budget PC for Gaming

Pros: Amazing Parts! Avatar didn't go cheap on this one. With the model i got, it came witha gigabyte mobo, msi 7770 ghz edition, LEPA power supply, Kingston HyperX ram I believe, Western Digital blue Hard drive, and even a coolermaster heat sink fan (not sure which one though). Runs games magnificently. I play BF4 on ultra settings at 1280x720. I also like to recordand livestream some games too and the 6-core processor helps a lot!

Cons: Little bit loud on start up but gets quieter very quickly! No problems whatsoever!

Other Thoughts: I love the cooler master elite 430 case as well. So happy I got this computer

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good.

Pros: Only had this for a few weeka so far and I love it. Besides a couple headaches with windows 8.1 (cons below), I'm having a great time. Runs bf4 on high at 55fps, even with lots of explosions. Quiet, spacious, and nice. Powerful as well. The amd fx 6100 doesn't bottleneck the hd 7770 at all. Runs skyrim at 89 on high, but stutters on ultra due to the game's poor coding.

Cons: Crashed the OS while installing a wireless network card. MAKE SURE IT IS COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS 8 AND 8.1! Other than that, the $700 I paid for it (not on sale) wasn't too bad, but could've been lower. Neither is worth docking an egg in my opinion.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome entry PC

Pros: Computer runs amazing. I use it mostly for multitasking listing to iTunes and surfing the net. It plays any game I have thrown at it, but I'm not a heavy PC gamer. Photoshop gives me no hiccups.

Cons: Only con would be at times when it goes to sleep and you wake it up you can end up with a black screen. It's a bug with the latest Radeon Drivers. Oh and when you upgrade Catalyst and display drivers remember to re-enable the Graphics OverDrive. Pre-configured settings never get higher then 55 degrees running intensive games even with the single stock fan. This only comes with a single 120mm fan in the front of the case and when the fan is running slowly, when PC is cold, the noise can be kind of loud. Shortly after starting it will warm up and quiet down. I don't need it but I'm going to put a couple extra fans in.

Other Thoughts: This Desktop was a gift and it keeps giving. Some people reported loud DVD/CD drives, but I don't seem to have that issue. Mine shipped with a LG Drive if that makes a difference. Mouse and Keyboard are rather cheap quality. My keyboard leg/stand broke just from the cold weather. Again the loud fan/grinding sound, in my case, is the front fan when it spins slowly. After the PC reaches 30-35 degrees the fan quiets down. Great PC and I highly recommend it for the Price. Minecraft 1.7.2 runs up to 120fps, but can probably go higher if I set the limited in-game higher.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: I purchased this pc on an oopen box discount about a month ago. Really easy startup and haven't had any problems with missing drivers or anything weird like that. The case is looks really sharp and everything was in place when it arrived. Runs every game I've tried on highest settings. So far I haven't really put it to the test as the main games I"ve played are DOTA 2 and Chivalry. Chivalry is somewhat graphically demanding though, and it runs like a dream. Knock on wood that it stays that way.

Cons: I had to actually call Windows to activate it Windows 8. It took 5 minutes talking to a machine and punching in numbers. The fan is a little loud, but no louder than an old xbox. Nothing has been worth docking an egg so far.

Other Thoughts: Haven't had the pc for very long, but so far it's been nothing but spectacular. I would recommend this as a starter pc for anyone returning to gaming the way I am. This pc is better than most of my friends computers who have been gaming for a lot longer. Not to mention you can't beat the price. With the open box discount I payed sub 500 for the best computer I've ever owned.

2 out of 5 eggsMisleading specs

Pros: Bought this for my son, plays his games fine, low cost entry machine.

Cons: 3 months old and the CPU fan is now failing, Motherboard is SATA II NOT SATA III.

Case fan is not connected to the motherboard sys fan header, you will need an extension to connect it there if you wish to monitor its speed with software.

Other Thoughts: When we opened up the case for inspection (to identify which fan was failing) we discovered the motherboard is NOT SATA III, it is only SATA II so the specifications are misleading, don't assume because they say SATA III twice that it is able to operate at SATA III speed, inspect you product fully when it arrives, don't wait.

Had I inspected this upon receipt instead of trusting it was what it said it was, I would have returned it then, no point now.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Satisfied

Pros: CPU and GPU are up to par.

No technical issues.

Very affordable.

Cons: Only has one fan taking in air through the front, had to buy more. (They were cheap and easy to install)

Case is not as attractive as most gaming PC's (not important though)

2 out of 5 eggsIt works, but not with windows 8

Pros: fast, quiet and very powerful hardware. and the shipping was very fast

Cons: the computers video card driver disk was incompatible with windows 8. i tried the disk on a computer with windows 7 and it worked just my computer force restarts without even showing a blue screen.

Other Thoughts: this computer would be great if it actually worked with the software that was quickly installed on this computer at the last moment. but it doesnt so it makes me mad and sad...
