How can I enlarge the memory? Is it possible to insert the flash-card?

Yes and Yes. You can install a standard 2.5" ssd in the docking station. You can also use a micro sd card. I actually haven't done either of those things, but this was my understanding. I do recommend going with the 4GB/64GB version. I believe that version ships from Kangaroo without Windows 10, though, so will be more expensive. I think NewEgg packages this together for a reasonable price, however. Last point is that these willl get overtaxed pretty quickly if you run a very large or 4K display. Forget 4K altogether. It will overheat and start choking the video down and be awful. It can get a little dicey with continued HD video, also, especially if you try to use wireless.  All things considered, a pretty cool way to add functionality to a tv. Primary purpose I had was for digital displays.

Can you change out the RAM or are you stuck buying the entire unit with the 4 GB RAM and having to buy an OS too?

The reason they do not sell a model with the 4GB. and the OS is MICROSOFT !! (they charge a lot more for the windows 10 OEM license for products with more than 2GB. of RAM which would increase the price of the Kangaroo significantly) So instead they just sell it with the 2GB. that allows them to include the win 10 license nearly free or sell the unit with higher capacity (4GB. and 64GB. eMMC) without the license to avoid having to charge the extra +/- $100 that they would have to pay Microsoft to include it.

How does this work for something simple like the PC version of Minecraft?

I think it will be weak on anything with intensive graphics, rendering, or streaming.  I wish this company would continue to innovate, but I haven't seen anything more. Disappointing. I was at first optimistic about this product, but later found I was having the same problems everyone else was with HD. These things heat up and throttle back to a point that the video cannot be watched. There are no fans in these and the heat builds up every time. I don't know for sure, but would guess the constant rendering of Minecraft will have the same result.  Here's the bottom line, the low-end NUC that comes with Windows 10 pre-loaded as this product does is better. 1G ethernet vs 100M on this, and it has a fan. In testing with HD video streams, it ran for 12 hours with no detected problems. I am switching to the NUCs. Price is about $240, but worth the difference.

Why just release this as a new version rather than an addon product to the original Kangaroo (since this uses the original as well why make customers purchase a second Kangaroo to get the added connections rather than offering the Dock as a separate product. (seems you'd have a larger base that already purchased the Kangaroo or Kangaroo + that could use the Docking device without having to purchase the Kangaroo again. (also could use the Kangaroo + with the extra 2GB. of RAM and double capacity eMMC that it offers.)

Are there plans to sell the expanded dock as it's own product for those that already have a Kangaroo or Kangaroo+ ??

I just spoke to Kangaroo tech support and in july 2016 they will start selling the pro dock by itself. they were not able to give me a price, But based on the difference I price from the base unit to the pro I would think around 100.00 bucks
